A fire pit is located off the back end of the pool for cooler Kihei winter evenings, temperatures under 70 degrees. There are two hammocks for relaxing in the yard, one in the back corner, under the shaded thatched umbrella, and one on the lanai off the master bedroom.

The kitchen is an informal setting, and is open to the living area. There is a dining table that seats four, and the large island has seating for four also.
The living area also has french doors which open up to the 1000 sq ft lanai and Oasis backyard. In the living area there is a tiki sitting area with a 60 gallon tropical freshwater aquarium to sit and relax around.
The 46' LED TV is enclosed in a teak cabinet, which has a Samsung blu-ray/DVD player that can stream Netflix, and is run through a Yamaha receiver with both indoor and outdoor speakers for the back lanai. You can stream your music from your iPod, iPad or any MP3 player through the system. There is free wireless internet.

In the garage there are extra tables and chairs available for guest use. Beach chairs and coolers are also stored there and available for guest use.
The second bathroom is a full bathroom with a bath tub. Located on the South side of the house with the other two bedrooms, the bathroom has a door that opens to the back lanai which makes it great for folks to easily use without walking through the house.
The guest room located at the front of the home on the South side, has two brand new queen size beds.
The last bedroom on the South side is a smaller bedroom, with a brand new queen size bed, and also has french doors that open to the back Lanai and yard.
The back lanai is a 1000 sq ft, and has seating for 6 in comfortable relaxing chairs and rockers. There is a full size stainless steel radiated heat gas grill for BBQ's. There is a large teak cooler on the deck for ease of storing cold drinks. A peek-a-boo ocean view can be seen from the lanai.
The lanai can be completely child-proofed off to keep small ones on the deck and away from the pool area for easy adult supervision. Please request us to childproof the lanai before your arrival.

- Kihei Oasis is conveniently located on the North side of Kihei town. If you're planning on doing lots of island sight seeing, such as visiting Hana, exploring upcountry areas such as Makawao, Kula, or Haleakala National Park, or driving to the West side of the island to Lahaina and beyond, Kihei Oasis is only a couple of blocks from the Piialani Hwy (31), but offers you and your guests your own private resort style vacation home, 3 bedroom/2 bath, on 1/2 acre property with a lavish custom saline pool and 10 ft tiled spa to spoil yourselves after you return from sight seeing. Amy, Our stay at your home was truly amazing! After a long day traveling all over Maui, we often looked forward to returning home to take a dip in the pool & hot tub. Our kids have decided to stay in Maui at your house forever! You really provided an excellent atmosphere for rest and relaxation we were seeking. Many Thanks & we'll see you again, I'm sure! Mahalo Amy! From the child's dishes to the remote candles, you have pretty much "nailed" it. After this wonderful time, we know that "hotels" are no longer a family option. We could have never shared relaxed family time, as we have here. Thank you for sharing your personal piece of "paradise" with our family. Your understanding of traveling with children is our blessing! Again, Mahalo & Aloha

Amy & Mike-Our entire family loved every minute we have stayed at your lovely oasis! I found myself saying out loud at least once a day, "I don't want to leave this place!". Your home is nicely decorated both inside and out with all we could ask/hope for and more. Having a 17 month old along for the trip, we thought perhaps we may have a bit of a nightmare on our hands, but your place could not be more perfect from the baby gates to the baby proof cabinets to the safety net you so thoughtfully wrapped around the entire deck to our son could enjoy some outdoor living as well:). We have a light sleeper, but found that if we turned on the waterfall outside, he napped through anything! He actually slept better here than he does at home with 13 hour nights and 3-4 naps during the day, which gave the rest of us time to enjoy your fabulous house! Thank you both so much for all your help during our stay. We never felt abandoned and you both worked very hard to make our stay a great one!! Can't wait to return! XOXO

We cannot express enough the wonderful time we had during our stay at this beautiful home. We spent 10 days at the Oasis with 6 adults and found the house to have plenty of space for all. The amenities were fabulous and of good quality. The outdoor living space is nothing short of breathtaking. The spa was plenty spacious to accommodate all at once and the saline pool water made it easy to spend hours of enjoyment. Amy was fantastic to work with! She has definately thought of everything to make this a home away from home. Amy was very resourceful and provided pleanty of suggestions to make our vacation one that we will cherrish forever. The beds have quality matresses that won't make you miss your own. There are plenty of beach accessories for use which was very convenient. The home is located in a nice area and close enough to walk to the beach and shops. We would definately reccommend this listing to anyone and cannot wait to return again. It truely was an Oasis! Thanks You again Amy for making our vacation Special.

Private Oasis! Close to Everything
Private Oasis! Close to Everything
We had the pleasure of staying at Kihei Oasis for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. Amy had decorated the home for the holidays, lovely touch. The house and yard are as seen in the pictures. When you enter the gates you cannot believe this private 1/2 acre oasis exists. It is lovely and you appreciate the palm trees and plantings Amy has done on this half acre lot. You are in a residential area but this is hard to believe once you are in this yard. The house has been decorated in a style of contemporary and antique Polynesian art and artifacts. The house is like a Hawaiian plantation cottage and naturally leads onto the back lanai. The pool, hot tub, gazebo and BBQ are just outside the doors(bedroom and living room). We used the pool and hot tub frequently during the day.Amy keeps the yard and pool immaculate. Points that make this an outstanding rental. Amy the owner is prompt in all correspondence. She greets you at the home upon arrival and walks you through the workings of the house. She is a phone call/email away should you have any questions. She is a wealth of information on restaurants, trips, sites, shopping, etc. Amy keeps the pool and hot tub "HEATED". We really appreciated this and the fact the house is air conditioned. The yard, pool and hot tub lighting was amazing to see. This contributes to you being able to use the pool and hot tub for as long and as late as you like. Amy has thought of so much in regards to extra tables and chairs for outside. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas and towels. The extra fridge in the garage was an asset. The filtered water in the kitchen was a nice touch. Amy was so kind to pick up a few grocery items to tide us over the first night. This house with it's configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms worked perfectly for our family of 6, with 4 young adult children. We would definitely return and hope to someday. Amy's description and pictures are as lovely as the house actually is, the location was superb to beaches, snorkelling, Road to Hana, Haleakala, airport, Costco. You are close to everything, but feel like you are in a remote area. Bravo Amy, you should be proud of this gem.

First class owner and house
First class owner and house
Unfortunately, we just departed this house after a 10 day stay. House is perfect for multiple people and hosting low key gatherings in backyard. The owner's objective was a Four Seasons type experience, and she accomplished that. The owner's pride is obvious with this house. The light switches are even labeled for easy use. The pantry is stocked with just about any spice or cooking items you need. There's even a Foodsaver with bags for bringing back frozen lau lau and Kalua pig. Just bring clothes and stock up at Costco. Mahalo nui loa Amy for a great Maui experience!

Awesome Property and Stellar Owner!
Awesome Property and Stellar Owner!
Our reason for going to Maui was my son's wedding. After checking out some condo's, I finally made the decision to look for a home to rent. A terrrific decision! This home is unique in the fact that the gorgeous backyard is so private and you truly feel you're in your own little paradise! With guests coming and going during the week no one ever wanted to leave. Truly a beautiful setting for outdoor entertaining! The stellar owner, Amy, was like "Wonder Woman" when any issues arose. The inside of the home has some unique and interesting pieces which truly add to the charm and warmth of this house. I prepared a brunch after the wedding and before my arrival I had asked if there was a griddle in the kitchen. "Wonder woman" not only had gone out and purchased a griddle, she had a waffle iron and panani grill too! The home is very well equipped with kitchen, bath, pool and beach items. Amy, truly hasn't missed a beat on making this place great and has some added touches when you first arrive! I'm 64 years old and this is only the 2nd time in my life I have ever recommended anything to anyone. I was so busy the week we were there I only got to the beach once; thank goodness we had this lovely fun home to stay in. I looked forward to that Spa every night; and, I think, my granddaughter racked up about 100 hours in the pool! The owner takes pride in this property and it shows! This place is a 5* plus in my book!

Unbelievable Property And Host! The Pictures Do NOT Do It Justice!
Unbelievable Property And Host! The Pictures Do NOT Do It Justice!
Located in a rural neighborhood in Kihei, Amy's place is absolutely amazing. There is a gigantic, custom pool, a giant spa, a custom light display, waterfall, water feature from the roof of the gazebo, outdoor shower... I could go on (and on!)... It's a very unique house - once you go down the long driveway and shut the gate you're pretty secluded. We often didn't leave until well into the afternoons when we were there - choosing, instead, to just hang out in the hammocks by the pool and easing into each day. The furnishings and bedding were super comfortable. Having a house with all the bells and whistles definitely helps on vacation. It rained on us sporadically our last two days we were there - but the giant outdoor lanai and Netflix access definitely helped! As a local herself, Amy was was super quick to respond to our initial query (within a few hours, actually), was quick to answer any/all questions, met us in the early evening when our flight was delayed, walked us through the house and usage of all the awesome features, and then gave us a list of great locations and local places to check while we were there. She was a LOT of help (and even called to ask if it was OK to come by on an early afternoon and clean the pool while we were out running around). We will definitely be back (and I've already recommended the place to two other friends looking at visiting later this year)! Thanks, Amy!

A CelebrationGuest comment entered by owner
We are a family of 5 all the way from Wisconsin enjoying life Maui style here at the Oasis. We were looking forward to staying in a house with all the amenities of "home" but little did we know that the Oasis has it all! We especially loved the pool and gazebo, but the beautiful landscaping and private yard made being here the tropical paradise that exceeded our expectations. The beds are comfy, the inside is cozy, but at any given moment it could turn into a celebration. Thank you Amy! Kihei Oasis is perfection!

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Welcome! My name is Amy Bond, and I'm the owner/manager of Kihei Oasis. I live in Kihei, just a few miles from the property I named Kihei Oasis. I grew up in Park Ridge, IL, and lived in Chicago until 2001. I took a trip to Maui after learning how to scuba dive. While diving here, I decided Maui would be my new home. I've been here 12 years now, and I still feel as though I just moved here yesterday!
Why the Owner Chose Other Kihei Properties:
The property was bought in 2007, and in 2008, the custom designed pool, spa, gazebo, and palm trees were added to the property. All the landscape was designed by me, and over time, I've added more gardens as the tree canopy shades new areas of the property. I recently have moved from the property to convert it to one of Maui's first legally permitted vacation homes, as I feel the property is one meant to be shared with others. The home feels like a 'home' not a vacation rental. Folks who have come to visit are always in awe of the beauty of the home, the gardens, the pool and spa, and the immediate feeling of completely being away in a sanctuary, hence, why I named it 'Kihei Oasis'!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I fell in love with this home immediately. At the time there was no pool, spa, gazebo, or gardens. I looked at it as an opportunity to design the yard I've always longed for. My idea of the perfect home in Hawaii is a smaller home on a large lot. A home that brings the outside in and the inside out. My favorite areas are the gazebo for relaxing and spending time with my family and friends in the pool and spa. My favorite space inside the house is sitting in front of the fish tank reading a good book. Taking a nap in the master bedroom with the french doors open, listening to the trades blow, is also another favorite!
