'Beth Selah', a place to pause & think about God's goodness, is ideally located halfway between Hwy 50 and Hwy 89 in the 'V' of the 'Y' in South Lake Tahoe. Close to it all! Several beaches are accessible in just 15 min. by bicycle. The bike trail runs through the forest up the Hwy 89 side of Lake Tahoe, a really relaxing way to beat the cars to the Lake. Just 5 minutes away are Raley's, for groceries, TJMaxx, Big 5 Sporting Goods, and Pier One for clothing & other shopping. CVS is also just up Hwy 50. Many great restaurants off Hwy 89 and Hwy 50 without the wait up at the stateline. This recently carpeted, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is app. 1,750 sq. ft.& sleeps 8 people. Upstairs, the Master bedroom has a King sized bed & cable TV. The Guest bedroom across the hall has a Queen sized bed. The spacious bathroom has a separate tub and shower. The Guest bedroom downstairs, has a Queen bed. There is also a comfortable Queen, 'Lazy Boy' sofa-bed in the living room. The bathroom downstairs, has a shower/tub combination. Each bed Is freshly made & has down comforters with an abundant supply of fresh pillows. We supply bath towels for each guest's stay. The washer and dryer is in the laundry room, inside the house. There is a large round dining table for meals and games with seating for 8. There is a leaf for the table that adds room for 4 more people to dine under the stairway closet. A new 50' Flat screen TV with a large library of family DVD's and a game cabinet, stocked with board games, cards & dominoes. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, bean grinder, crockpot, rice cooker, blender and etc. and is fully equipped with dishes, glasses, silverware and all the tools necessary for the chef in your group. The telephone at the house includes unlimited long distance throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and Virgin Islands and free WiFi. (many cell phones do not come in clearly in Lake Tahoe, but on our porch you can get the best reception.) It's a great home to enjoy your family or friends with plenty of places to relax in the Living room, sitting on the front porch (our favorite) or out on the back deck. In the winter, enjoy the warm of a fire from the gas stove, with a simple click of the thermostat. The 2 car garage, with garage door opener, is a great asset for parking and entering the house, especially during the winter. It also allows for extra cars in the driveway, (Off street parking is not an option, because of snow removal vehicles. It is an expensive ticket in Tahoe.) The ski room, (part of the garage), offers a great place to store your snow gear or lock your bicycles. We have a few pieces of sports equipment there also. The back yard is fully fenced for privacy, as you enjoy the back deck and BBQ or lunch on the picnic table. In the summer there is a baseball diamond at the school across and down the street. As well as basketball courts. In the winter, behind the house is an open meadow for snow play, so with little ones, you can have fun in the snow without having to drive to the snow. Come in when you need some hot chocolate and go back out to play some more! So many ways to have fun up in Tahoe!

Beth Selah is ideally located halfway between Hwy 50 and Hwy 89 in the 'V' of the 'Y'. Once you have come into to South Lake Tahoe you are literally just a couple of minutes from the house. It is very easy to get to and a fast get away when you are ready to go home. While there you are so close to everything. 5 miles from Stateline, the Ski Resorts, Emerald Bay and many of the beaches. Raley's market is just 5 minutes away, as is outlet shopping.

About the owner: Ray & Jenny met, married and raised their family in the Bay Area. Then relocated to El Dorado county in 2004 to enjoy the rural lifestyle there and to be closer to Lake Tahoe!
Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Island Drive: We fell in love in South Lake Tahoe and vacationed here for many years before deciding to purchase this home. We have improved our house every year by changing or adding something better. Last year, we put in a new front lawn and sprinklers. The year before we put in new carpet and tile.
The Unique Benefits at this House: We like the older style look of this house. It just had character. We were told an Admiral in the Navy built it long ago. We have our own imaginary stories about him!
