Home is located 3.5 miles south of the San Pedro air strip so if you plan to go into town much I would recommend renting a golf cart otherwise taxi's could get spendy at about $15 US each way. The house offers 4 bicycles if you like to do that. There were 8 adults in our party (4 couples) for 7 nights. The house has plenty of room so you never feel like the place is crowded. The caretaker, David, is super! He was always there if we needed him. Our US phones wouldn't work at the house so we asked him to make reservations for us for Valentine's Day dinner in town and the place treated us like VIP's. BTW, there is a cell phone plugged in by the TV which is a house phone but we didn't notice it until the day we left. Was so nice to be "unplugged" for a week. The pool was cool which was refreshing after some of the day trips we did on the mainland. The lounge chairs were so comfortable I really could have spent the entire week out there just relaxing. Any tours we booked picked us up right from the dock so we didn't have to worry about leaving our golf carts in town somewhere. Here's a really big tip: have Marfa cook as many meals as you can book her for because the taste is wonderful and the price cannot be beat. Our group hired her for breakfast and dinner the day after we arrived and we really wished we would have booked her for more meals. By the time you go into town and pick a place and wait for a table, eat and pay for your food ~ we would have been better off having Marfa cook for us! I'm serious. Her Coco Loco chicken with rice and beans was outstanding! The house recommends Suya Tours and we now know why. We booked a Shark Ray Alley snorkel tour, Lamanai tour and the relaxing snorkel Beach BBQ tour with them and all three were fantastic! You have to ask for Carlos and Daniel for the Beach BBQ trip. So much fun! We also booked a 2 tank scuba dive trip and a Zip line/Cave tubing tour with Discovery Belize. They were awesome as well. Ask for Miss Carlene. She will take good care of you! You can't go wrong with this home! Whether you want to use it as a base & do lots of tours or just stay in all week long. They have you taken care of. Just remember to relax and understand you are on island time. You are taking a vacation to paradise for a reason so sit back, kick off your shoes and relax. You will not want to leave! I sure didn't! Working on determining when the next trip there will be.

We went in October and the weather was great. Plenty of room for the 2 other couples we took. Clean and comfortable. Pool was sweet, peaceful, quiet and right on the ocean but no beach. Service was excellant and friendly. Marfa was helpful and did the dishes and laundry for us... The tour company was great and Shark Ray Alley is awesome, must go... Get a golf cart it's worth it. The worst thing about the place is the garbadge dump smell but it's worth it... I will be back soon and next time we will be taking the kids because it is sooooooo beautiful. The best vacation ever and awesome snorkeling and diving.. I will be back
Owner response:The beach in front of Casa Redonda is beautiful with white sand. The best swimming and snokeling is at the end of the pier which is 8-10 feet deep. The local dump is 2 miles on the laggon side. Casa Redonda is on the oceanside. We think possibly the smell may have come from someone burning trash nearby but for sure it was not the dump. The town regularly barges the garbage off the island to the mainland.

We had a fantastic week here at Casa Redonda. Dinner by Marfa, great attention by David, excellent diving with Carlos at Suya tours. We arranged a morning of spearfishing (he did the fishing...we snorkeled) and he cooked us a snapper/lobster lunch on the bbq by the pool. Would consider renting this house again. The only downside, literally, is that the beds are hard as rocks.
Owner response:As owners we can positively say that we never had any complaints about the beds over 5 years and our home is booked 50 weeks of the year. We will look into the possibility of putting in thicker mattress pads so clients will have a choice to use them or not.

Three couples just returned home from a trip to casa redondo and had an absolutely grand time!! We snorkled at Mexico rocks, swam with the sharks at Shark Ray alley, toured the amazing Mayan ruins at Lamanai, went cave tubing and zip lining--we did it all!! The groundskeeper and housekeeper were wonderful as well--they took such good care of us--wish we could return the kindness sometime. I highly recommend this fabulous home if you want a true trip to paradise. You will not be sorry. The best part was relaxing in the beautiful pool that overlooked the bluest ocean known--nothing wrong with that!! I'm just sayin'.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home this past April. Let me say it was amazing..... The home, the pool, the ocean - it is what every person needs. My kids had a great time, and so did my husband and I. Just a short golf cart ride to town for anything you need, from dinner to groceries. The caretaker of the home was amazing, he attended to our every need. Any questions we had he had the answers. The home was perfect. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We (six women from Texas) arrived May 15 and departed May 22. M&M Rentals was fabulous and took care of taxi, commuter air and golf cart reservations for us. David, the grounds keeper and Marfa, the housekeeper/cook were very personal and took great care of us. Marfa is a wonderful cook so take advantage of her skill. Be ware that the living room is NOT airconditioned, but when you are in the pool most of the day it's fine. It was great to have a private pier with the palapa and hammocks, and when you take a tour they will pick up at the pier. How cool is that? We used Souya Tours and they also were very accommodating and M&M Rentals arranged for them to come by the house to discuss tours.
