This recently renovated 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath luxury home looks onto the 13th hole of the Jack Nicklaus designed Turtle Point Golf Course.
TurtleCon offers a wide open floor plan, with a newly remodeled kitchen flowing into the dining area and living room, complete with fireplace.
Amenities: TurtleCon has 3 Bedrooms, each with its own custom tiled bathroom. A king bed is on the first floor, with three queen beds on the second floor. A sleeper sofa is in the living room.
Verandas with rockers catch the ocean breezes, while the large deck is ideal for an evening BBQ. There is a large fully-equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, fireplace, cable TV/VCR in living room and all bedrooms. Wireless Internet access. Two car garage.
TurtleCon boasts an ideal central location near golf, tennis, bike trails and Night Heron Park. The Community Pool is right out the front door. Ten miles of beach are a short walk or bike ride along the golf course.
TurtleCon has pool access! TurtleCon is fortunate to have access to our large neighborhood pool right outside the front door. For no extra fee, your family will enjoy swimming to their heart's content.This is not true for many homes on Kiawah. Due to restrictions placed by the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, many private homes and villas no longer have access to a swimming pool. You should look into this issue as you are making your decision about renting a home.
Kiawah Island has everything Beach, including beach combing, swimming and wave riding. Turtle watching and dolphin siting. You can run and bike on the firm sand. Or just laze under an umbrella with a good book and a cool drink.

As guests of Property Owners on Kiawah Island, you are able to book tee times and tennis times on a space available basis. Note: The resort gives priority and the ability to reserve times more than a week in advance only to their own guests. As our property is not managed by the resort, you need to wait until one week before you get onto the island to book times. Often, this is not a problem, but during the busiest weeks, it may be. If having guaranteed golf and tennis times are priorities, you should book a rental in a home that is managed by the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
The Sanctuary Hotel at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort is an AAA Five Diamond Award Winner. The Sanctuary's fine restaurants include the Ocean Room, Jasmine Porch and Loggerhead poolside grill. There is also The Spa: Kiawah's only non-private world-class spa facility located at The Sanctuary.
Additional Kiawah area activities include cycling, jogging, boating, sailing, wind-surfing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, bird watching and hiking. There is a marvelous professionally staffed Nature Center in Night Heron Park, with many live animals found on Kiawah.

We really enjoyed staying in your home! It was a great location - next to the pool and a short scenic walk to the beach. our families enjoyed a wonderful week of vacation biking, swimming in the pool, lounging at the beach, etc. Your home kept us extremely comfortable and is a great location for enjoying many parts of this beautiful island. We traveled over from Ogden Utah with our three year old son and our four month old daghter. First vacatioon since Sacramento. Cancellation policy:
If cancelled sooner than 60 days prior to the rental, refund of all but deposit.
If cancelled between 30-60 days, 50% refund, unless the renting party finds a replacement rental, then refund equal to amount new renters pay.
If cancelled inside of 30 days, no refund, unless the renting party finds a replacement rental, then refund equal to amount new renters pay,less deposit.
Reservation is made upon receipt of a non-refundable $500 deposit via VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or personal check.
Payment of the balance due is required 60 days prior to the rental.

About the owner: TurtleCon is owned by the Conway family, formerly of Cleveland Ohio. They fell in love with the south while living for some years in Asheville, North Carolina. Charleston was a favorite destination even then. Peter Conway is a partner in the local real estate firm of Akers and Ellis, and manages several Kiawah properties on behalf of his wife and two daughters. We are not absentee owners, using an impersonal property management company to oversee our properites. In fact, we feel as if we don’t operate rental units – rather we open our homes to new friends. If you stay in our home we want you to feel right at home yourself. If we accomplish that, we have succeeded. We believe that you will find each of our homes to be the perfect base for exploring Kiawah and having the vacation of a lifetime. If there is anything you need, just let us know! Turtlecon is managed by family friend Dennis Garapic. Dennis and Peter came together to Kiawah to play golf, and to watch the 2007 PGA Senior tournament on the island. Kiawah has gotten into Dennis’ blood, and managing these properties gives him an ironclad reason to be a frequent visitor.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We became enchanted with Kiawah one spring break when we drove up the east coast from Florida looking for the perfect place for a second home. When we arrived on Kiawah, we knew our search was over. It wasn’t any one particular thing – it was everything. For the girls, it was the beach. For Peter, it was the golf, and the biking. For Mary, it was the fact that the island is a nature conservancy. Alligators, turtles, bobcats, oh my! And for all of us, it was the serenity of a Kiawah sunrise, and the dolphins playing on the strand at Captain Sam’s inlet.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Ocean Green meighborhood is ideally located for everything Kiawah. For golfers it is a two minute walk to the Turtle Point golf course clubhouse and practice facilites. For families, the pool is outside the front door. Beach lovers have a five minute bike ride on paths to the beach. And you can grill! Most Kiawah properties do not allow grilling, but you can here.
