Island luxury meets Southern comfort and hospitality in this spacious retreat, located in the heart of charming Hilton Head, South Carolina. Located roughly one hundred steps away from the nicest beach in Hilton Head, our 17 Jacana home is perfect for a family get-a-way.
The first floor offers an open and inviting living area, ideal for passing time in the company of loved ones. The contemporary kitchen is fully furnished—including two microwaves, an oven, and a newly installed Jenn-air stovetop—and is stylishly adorned with granite countertops and a breakfast bar accented in wrought iron chairs. The adjacent great room is furnished by designers such as Schnadig, Kessler, Hooker and Broyhill and comes complete with a large flat-screen television. The seating area is set up perfectly for an after-dinner conversation but can also be rearranged to accommodate additional sleeping arrangements when the queen sleeper and two neighboring twin sleepers are turned down. The great room is the point of focus of the lower level, connecting the kitchen to the newly refurnished Tommy Bahama formal dining area and the dinette. You can enjoy all these rooms while simultaneously overlooking the outdoor pool deck.
The highlight of the upper level is the family game room, where you and your clan can challenge one another to a friendly round of air hockey or a game of bumper pool, which can be easily converted to a card table or checkers table. If these games or the several game boards in the home aren’t quite your style, you and your family can kick back and enjoy a movie together with the provided DVD/VCR player. What a perfect way to end a day at the beach!
All bedrooms come with their own full bath (three of which even boast large whirlpool bathtubs), television, and DVD player/VCR. The first floor has a large master bedroom with two queen sleigh beds, queen sleeper and whirlpool. In the room next door, guests can retreat to a lavish lodging with a king-sized sleigh bed with full bath and French doors leading to the pool.
On the second floor, guests can enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of the four bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a rich wooden four-post king-sized bed, complete with a sitting area, balcony, and full bath and a jacuzzi. The other three bedrooms are situated just across the family game room—a floral-themed room with two full beds, a jungle suite with a queen-sized bed, and a tropical oasis with a king-sized bed and full bath with jacuzzi. Need even more sleeping space? Don’t worry—all three sofas in the family game room fold out into twin beds.
Of course, a beachside home would not be complete without a proper pool area, and our pool area is ideal for sunbathing or taking a dip in the large twenty-eight by fourteen foot pool or the adjacent seven-person hot tub with waterfall. Both the pool and hot tub can be heated upon request for an additional fee. The large wood deck comes with a gas grill, mosaic table, sling back chairs, and bar—perfect for entertaining. Additionally, there is an outdoor shower to hose off after the beach.
The four-car garage has an elevator for your convenience, and boogie boards, sand toys, and a cooler are available for your use to ensure a pleasurable beach experience. A high chair, as well as crib/playpen, is also available at your disposal.
If you are a golf enthusiast, you are in luck! The on-site property manager is a golf pro and can arrange tee times or private lessons for you at a private club for the guest fee.
Popular Coligny Plaza with shopping, restaurants and mini-golf is a short stroll or bike ride away from our home but far enough from the busy area to enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay.
