Enjoyed our annual golf weekend at the tree house, our 4th or 5th year in a row. Plenty of courses in the area to play, and a great place for the 8 of us to hang out at night. Between the modern kitchen, big deck for grilling, and large living room we had plenty of space. Thank you for everything, we will be back next year (and maybe in the fall!).

Thank you for another very lovely visit to the Tree House! Even off-season, Santuit Pond is a perfect retreat, and the best of all possible bases to explore the Cape. Curtis T and I thoroughly enjoyed long walks in the woods, beautiful sunsets as we shared amazing fish dinners, great company, and the happy memories. We look forward to many future visits!!

Just got back from weekend stay at The Tree House. The house was great, and the view is spectacular. We had 11 guys for a golf trip, and found room for everyone. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The outside area is perfect for large groups with the huge deck, picnic table, and grille. We had a great time and hope to be back next fall.

Enjoyed our stay at the Tree House! Loved fishing from the dock and our kayaks! Visited Provincetown for great shopping. Spent one day at Old Silver Beach and one day at South Cape Beach--wonderful time! One day went into Quincy and also finished the day at Plymouth Rock! Fun shopping at Mashpee Commons! Thanks for sharing your house! FYI This is the greatest bass fishing pond!

Our stay at the Tree House was splendid. We enjoyed time on South Cape, Wellfleet, Orleans, and, of course, Four Seas. We loved using the grill & dining on the deck overlooking the lake. Enjoyed an extended family holiday after celebrating the college graduation of our niece/daughter/granddaughter. It is a beautiful setting and we really enjoyed the chance to get together. We enjoyed the pretty lake with the morning sun, the chance to laugh around the kitchen table, and the opportunity to share delicious recipes. Thank you!

Tree House is a fantastic home on the Lake. The posted pictures do not do it justice- it is beautiful. There are 4 bedrooms and 5 separate place at the house to "get-away"- the updated eat-in kitchen, the family room, the den, the basement play room, and the large deck with a picnic table: very nice for a family gathering. The lake is quiet and private- lots of trees. The kitchen has everything you need- including a lobster pot and chopsticks! The owner is very accessible both by email and phone. We reported a very minor leak in the kitchen and the owner had someone come out quickly... within 1 hour... on Memorial Day weekend!! She was great to deal with and we look forward to our next family get-together at Tree House. My only suggestion- be sure to drive in on Lantern Lane as Hemlock Drive is in disrepair.

We stayed at Tree House for an extended weekend May 21-24, 2011. It was perfect for four grown siblings and our spouses. The pix don't really do it justice - much nicer in person. The kitchen was a delight even when we had four (or more!) cooks working together and very well equipped. The kitchen/dining/family room (much more than a den) are all open to each other with windows overlooking the pond, so we never felt cramped. We found everything to be in working order and all the rooms freshened and ready to use. The house is well located even though quite secluded with good shopping nearby at Mashpee Commons as well as a nearby Super Stop & Shop and easy to get to Sandwich, Barnstable, Falmouth, etc. We suggest The Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich if you need a good restaurant that satisfies both fish lovers and vegans. We had cool damp weather over the weekend, but the house was cozy and comfortable.

This was our 3rd year spending a long weekend playing golf and staying at the Tree House. Everything went very well; the deck for grilling and relaxing, the kitchen for all other eating needs, the living room for sports on TV, and plenty of beds. We'll be back! tim

This property had an updated kitchen, but the microwave and dishwasher weren't working and the handyman we called didn't get back to us until the day we were leaving. The views of the pond were great, but you had to drive to get most anywhere. The first floor was very nice, but the bedrooms were rather old and musty smelling. The house was generally clean but needed to be aired out. This property would be good if you wanted to fish or just relax.
Owner response:Because we do not live in the area, we depend on input from our tenants and cleaning staff. the First we heard of the appliance problem was when tenants called on Sunday of the three-day weekend. We immediately reached the handyman on his cell, as he too was away for the weekend, and he went to check on the problem at his earliest convenience. Part of the charm of our home is its quiet isolation with fabulous lake views, and most people don't mind driving a little ways to see the sights. Airing is always good for bedrooms. We provided a partial rebate to compensate for the inconvenience the tenants experienced. We want all guests to enjoy their holidays at our house, and hope that the weekend was enjoyable despite the incomplete use of these appliances.

It's a pleasure living in such a beautiful house with a group of friends. The lake and swans are great for taking pictures--with special dresses on. The area and neighborhood are great too. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will all miss the nice Tree House and our good time together. Thank you!

There were a total of 12 people in our party. There was plenty of space. Plenty of comfortable beds, too. The kids had a blast fishing off of the pier and we all enjoyed the beautiful view. The house was very clean with a very good location. Kathy, the owner, was very helpful and right on top of everything. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Just finished our 2nd annual golf weekend at the Tree house and had a great time. Many courses to choose from in the area, and plenty of room for our crew. The kitchen/deck grill was great for all our meals and plenty of room to watch the Sox & Bruins in the living room at night. We'll be back next year! tim

This was our second visit to the Treehouse and it was just what we were expecting. The house is beautiful and the deck+dock on the lake were just the right way to celebrate some nice fall weather. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked (says the professional cook). The house owner is very helpful and works hard to make sure the stay is enjoyable. We will be back again, hopefully for years to come!

I rented this house for my extended family to celebrate Dad's 75th birthday, and it didn't disappoint on any level. It was such a welcome sight to walk into the beautiful den and dining room and see the lake in the background. Over the course of our week there, we never tired of the view. The owner did everything to make sure we had what we needed for a worry- free vacation: good directions, lots of travel information in the house, can't- miss recommendations on everything from beaches to farm stands to seafood stores, plenty of books and movies for the rare rainy days, and even a welcome basket to greet us after a long day of travel. It's a really comfortable space, and a tastefully decorated one. We never felt crowded and given that we love to cook, we appreciated the top-notch kitchen. Never had to buy any kitchen gadgets. They have everything! Mashpee is a great spot to be, as it will save you from having to not only get to the Cape but then drive further up route 6 (which can get congested). It's a good starting point for day trips to a wide variety of different beaches, antiquing, the quintessential Cape mini golf courses and plenty of quaint little towns. Nothing's more than an hour drive away from this house. Without hesitation, I'd rent this again, and would give anything to be sitting on the back deck with my coffee this morning, watching the sun rise over that pretty lake!

Our stay was quite pleasant. Because of the extreme cold of January, we were able to "walk on water" (err. . . SOLID water), and enjoy the lake from a notably new perspective. Though we would love to make another attempt at walking across the lake in summer, we have concluded that our efforts may result in extreme wetness.

We had an absolutely FANTASTIC time. The kitchen got rave reviews from the cook, and we had a blast in the rest of the house, too:) Thank you so much for letting us stay here--we DEFINITELY want to come back next year when it's warm enough to swim & hang out on the porch. We really enjoyed our stay on the pond. We call it the Lake House. We were there for July 4 and the fireworks over the lake were awesome. My husband and sons were fishing every morning as I enjoyed my morning coffee overlooking the gorgeous view of the lake with the sun coming up. It was lovely. As a mom who likes to cook - the kitchen was very well supplied and I truly felt at home. One week was not enough. I would love to come back in the fall. I can only imagine how the foliage would look on the lake! To describe our stay in two words, it would have to be: PERFECT PEACE! THANK YOU KATHY - FROM THE CARISTI'S WE'LL BE BACK!!!!!

This week has been packed with happenings that blew my mind! Though from Massachusetts, I have never enjoyed so many "traditional" Cape activities: the Cape League, clamming, tubing on the lake, etc. Most of all, I had the opportunity to be a part of this lovely home. I now will be able to enjoy these memories when I am a fan next year, and, what's more, look forward to memories to come.

We arrived Saturday & immediately felt right at home. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us! The view is beautiful & we enjoyed many walks in this charming neighborhood. The area was convenient & close to everything we came to see. The beds were wonderfully comfortable to fall into after a long day at the beach & we were so thankful for air conditioning! (All of us are Canadian ey!) The sunrises were spectacular! Just sipping tea daily on the deck was so relaxing. Thank you for a truly relaxing time in your lovely home. Just a lovely week at this haven of beauty and rest. As I look out onto the lake I can see the glory of God's glorious handiwork. Kathy - Just wanted to send you a final e-mail to say thank you. It was a excellent weekend and the Treehouse is a great home. Everyone had a wonderful time - and most of us have decided we all need to buy a house on a lake one day (my brother's quote about the view was "this makes me want to quit work and become a writer"). Other than two older chairs the house was perfect. The whole group really had a great time and the house was really perfect (great view, kitchen / living room /dining room is the same area, great deck, plenty of beds and room for 8, etc...). Your directions to the high school field were right on and we had a great pick up game of baseball. Overall it was a wonderful weekend and we will definitely look you up again when we head down next! I'll definitely let others know about the Treehouse. Thanks again for all the help and information and (hopefully) talk to you again soon :-) Jon
