Every year my family takes a vacation to South Lake Tahoe and stays in a different house/cabin. This year my family stayed in this one. I can say the pictures do not do this place justise. It was the best one by far that I have stayed in. The view of the lake is GREAT from this house. We enjoyed the balcony every morning and night. The kitchen is very well stocked, the bedrooms are nice and the dinning area is perfect. I am recommending my friends to stay here and I will be staying here again next year. Thanks Betsy for allowing us to enjoy your house.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Beautiful views make this house. I have rented from VRBO multiple times, and usually the pics are nicer than the actual house. NOT the case here. The pics don't do it justice. This house's views are breathtaking, and can be enjoyed right from the hot tub. Our family loved the spacious house w/ each bedroom having it's own bath room. The location is great and is close to everything: the lake, Heavenly, town, stores, casinos, etc.

First of all -- wonderful view! Really close to the ski lift. We stayed 4 nights there and loved to come back to "our" cabin to enjoy the hot tub, view and nice guest rooms. I would recommend this cabin to my friends and will stay here again.

We had originally booked two rooms at the casino but a friend of mine recommended that I try VRBO. I had never heard of it but she had positive experience using it. After doing some searches, I came across this house at the last minute, and boy was I lucky. The pictures and description seemed really nice compared to others. When we entered the house all we can say was "Wow, this is nice!" many times over. The view of the forest and Lake Tahoe was awesome. The house is very open, practical, fully furnished, and tastefully decorated... and that's an understatement. Every room has a TV. The kitchen had everything you can think of, and then some. We had a party of 8 people, including kids. We were able to enjoy our company yet were able to spread out and have our own space. Having a two-car garage was a plus. The owner was so nice and accommodating. We had a problem with the hot tub but she had it fixed in no time. We didn't think we would use an outdoor hot tub that much during winter nights but after a full day of skiing/snowboarding, a glass of wine in hand and a view to the starry night, it was perfect. We look forward to coming back again.

We had such a great time in this house it was decorated beautifully suitable for anytime of the year we loved it. Any thing you need is there(just like home) The views are spectacular.The property is located close to everything. I can't wait to return.

We just stayed in this beautiful home this past weekend for three nights with 6 adults and one 4-year-old (we could easily have fit more people in). One room has two queen beds and is still very roomy - this was perfect for the parents and the young child to stay in. We have rented vacation homes or condos at least ten times, and this is the best yet. Really roomy, lots of comfy beds, a kitchen you could actually COOK in with all the standard equipment and more, and definitely an upscale interior. The views are indescribable - sunsets, the lake, the mountains! All this is visible from the hot tub, family room, and almost every other room in the house. The owner was so helpful and gracious, and we definitely plan to come back.

What a great place! We had never rented a vacation home before sight unseen but after looking at many options we decided to take a chance on this home. I needed to find a place for our family of 6 plus my brother's family of 3 for a holiday get together last December. We were very so pleased when we arrived at this beautiful home! It is a great location with awesome views of the woods and the lake, etc. The home is beautifully decorated - a perfect Tahoe get-away. So close to skiing at Heavenly and town. The kitchen/dining area is great for entertaining, etc. We spent a fantastic holiday/New Year's here and would definitely plan on coming here again!

Some girlfriends and I were looking for a weekend get away when one of them came across Betsy's house. We were all a bit skeptical since the price was so great, we thought something else must be lacking... we were wrong! From the moment we pulled up we could not have been more impressed. The loctaion is perfect, close to everything - the views of the lake are amazing, the decor is classic and fun, and the open floorplan is great for entertaining. We were so impressed, we booked it again this summer. Thank you Betsy for sharing your beautiful home with us, I can't wait to go back!

For the past 8 yrs. I have planned an annual ski trip for several of my friends. A few yrs. ago I skeptically went on vrbo and found Betsy Goodell's house in beautiful Lake Tahoe. The location is only about 4 blocks from the base of Heavenly. My friends are tough critics and I was nervous staying in a house site unseen. As soon as we walked in the door I was an immediate HERO!!! Incedible views of the pritine lake due to the wall to wall windows. Great kitchen for entertaining and a hot tub/grill on the outside deck. Moreover the home is decorated just as I would imagine a Tahoe home. We don't even hit the casinos anymore. Making a great dinner, drinking wine in the hot tub with your closest friends while the sun falls behind the lake is priceless. It is now an annual tradition. It truly is an amazing house. Please look for our stories in her guest book. They are all there.
