Although the home is very family friendly, I just returned from a "girls" getaway and it was a perfect place to just relax and enjoy. The home is very spacious, well designed and comfortable. We used the pool each day - still warm in October. There was little traffic, no noise and a great deal of privacy. I would highly reccomend this lovely home for all. We plan to "getaway" here again next year.

We just returned from this wonderful vacation home. We had a fabulous time staying on the sound. The kids (and adults) loved swimming, kayaking and catching crabs at the dock on the property. The swimming pool was in constant use since the temperature was between 95 and 100 degrees each day. The house was perfect for our families- 6 adults and 4 young children and a baby. There was plenty of room for a quiet nap when needed. Ken was very helpful with answers to questions and any issues that might occur. We were close enough to enjoy activities like shopping and putt putt yet we were in a quiet private area when we returned to the house. We never even went to the beach because we had everything we needed right at this wonder vacation spot. to quote our family " this was the best vacation ever". Thanks Ken and Tawyana for sharing such a lovely place.

I just wanted to drop you a little note telling you how much we enjoyed ourselves this past week! Your home has to be the most inviting, comfortable, BEAUTIFUL home we have ever stayed in. We loved everything about it! By Wednesday, we were trying to think of a way to buy it from you LOL Thank you so very much for the use of it, you take pride in your home, and it shows. it was by far the BEST vacation any of us have had in a very long time. The girls had a blast laying in the sun, and enjoying the pool, while the boys were out on the dock fishing and crabbing from sun up till sun down! The Jacuzzi was a welcome sight for us after our long journey down! We are already making plans for next year... we can't wait to come back! Danielle & Family

This has got to be one if not the best rentals for this area! The view and the privacy, by far, cannot be beat! The owners have thought of every ammenity possible-they are a pleasure to talk to and work with. This home is much more than meets the eye and I can honestly say that we can't imagine staying anywhere else while visting the outer banks! Even in the "off season", my young children (3,5, and 8)were completely satisfied and entertained! We will be back and cannot wait to sit once again in those red chairs by the ocean!

We love the outer banks.The people are so friendly there. Unlike most rental properties, your house actually felt like we were staying at a friends home. Our son loved crabbing and 3 of us caught a string ray off the pier. Our favorite features were the seperate living quarters on either end of the home and the pool of course.

July, 2008 We had the best time in your house. We were two families and never felt like there was not enough space. Each family had its own side of the house and it worked out great. The kids loved the kayaks and the crabbing and the pool was fabulous. I want to thank you for providing such a great place for us to share our summer vacation. If we decide to make the long drive south again we would definately use this house again. Once again, thanks, we had a great time.

Dear Ken and Tawyana, My family and I had a wonderful vacation in your home! We took a trip to the beach but couldn't wait to get back to the house and play. The house is provided with everything. There really is no reason to leave except to buy outbanks t-shirts and gifts. :) The pictures just doesn't do this house justice. The house is sucluded but close enough to everything. Today is the first day I'm back on line after our trip- just wanted to let you know what a fabulous house you have! We had a wonderful week- I could have stayed all summer! the way I sum up the week is that my biggest decision to amke each day was where to sit, which drink to enjoy and which book to read! thank-you you much for sharing your house with us- we're considering when to return!!!! Have a great summer- we'll carry our Sound Decision memories with us for the rest of the New England summer! Beth P.s- you're right, why travel over the bridge to the mayhem when you can enjoy the sound- we did enjoy Manteo and Cape Hatteras Light house though!

Dear Ken and Tawyana. A thoroughly enjoyable stay! Your house is beautiful and really well equipped and we made use of all the amenities (incl hot tub and hammock). Weather, fortunately, was beautiful, and sitting in the garden enjoying it was wonderful!

As we drove down the road to the home that late Saturday night, we were delighted when our headlights finally shone on the trees in full bloom in the driveway. They were peaking in blossom and were as bright in the night as they were in the midday sun. What a great way to enter after an 11 hour drive! From there on our vacation was a delight, we enjoyed large family meals, games of Taboo, and nights of relaxing in the hot tub looking up at the stars. The views throughout the house were beautiful, so relaxing, and perfect for our needs!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in this home and it was amazing. The photos on the website do not begin to show the true essence of the place. You walk in, see the views and you don't want to leave, ever! The home was decorated very tastefully and it is obvious that Ken & Tawyana took special care in all the little details to make everyone's stay special and to make you feel at home. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back and will recommend to all our friends.

Ken & Tawyana, You truly have an amazing place in a fabulous location. After we left your home, we traveled down to Ocracoke for the long weekend. The place we rented down there was beautiful however, the whole time we were there, my family was saying that they wished they were back at your house. Looking forward to next summer!

Hi Tawyana and Ken, We really had a wonderful time! The yard with the spectacular view was a perfect place for my Dad and Uncle to reminisce about growing up in Canada in a family of ten.
