We spent a weekend at Marshall's Place with a group of 12 co-workers and had a great time. I think it would also work well for a multiple family getaway. We found the house to be very clean and well stocked with everything we could need (kitchen utensils, towels, linens, etc). There were more than enough beds for everybody to sleep comfortably. The location is also great - not too far from Squaw and Alpine.

We have just returned from a multi-family ski/snow get-away at Marshall's Place. This was our second stay here and each time, we have enjoyed the house and facilities enormously. Our young kids (mostly under 12) love playing in the large back yard and have had fierce snowball fights from their laboriously crafted snow forts. Highly recommended.

We just spent Thanksgiving at the place. We had 22 people in the first two days and 16 people in the third day. The house is very easy to get to and is close to Alpine Meadow and Sqaw ski resorts. It is clean, tidy and very well organized. There are five well furnished rooms for couples. One room has a small room with a single bed joined to it so it can be used by a couple with a small child. The dorm room was a hit. We had four kids with us and they claimed the room and the bunk beds soon after we entered the house. The pool table was a lot of fun. My eight year old son learned to play pool during the stay. The hot tub was great. We had a good soak even when it was snowing and felt very good afterwards. The kitchen was well equipped. Even the aprons were provided. We had a great time in the house and will consider renting it again.

The house and property were perfect. Staying at Dollar Point is ideal because of the proximity to Tahoe City and the biking, rafting, and other activities there. We took advantage of being at the end of the dedicated bike path that goes all the way past town and to Truckee or south around the lake. We also found a trail across the street that was perfect for a run or flat hike with the kids. The private beach is a nice option but we more regularly took advantage of the country club with pool, ping pong, and shuffle board. It was also just a 5-10 minute drive to Kings Beach where we went Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, and relaxing. The house was also ideal. We loved that the house had all the amenities we would have in our own homes. Being able to do laundry and cook our meals with ample tools, spices, baking goods, and oils was awesome. We had plenty of space for the twelve of us with room to spare. With 6 kids under 6 we were happy to have the space. The house had a well-loved, lived in feel. We three families have been to Tahoe many times and this trip was as good as it gets - and Tahoe is awesome. I am certain we will want to come back again.

The house includes access to the beautiful HOA beach and the swimming pool, both very close and well maintained. We stayed there with 4 families and very much enjoyed the amenities of Dollar Point. We would definitely go again.

We had a great time at the house. The house fit our family perfectly. The location was walking distance to the pool and a great walk to the beach. We enjoyed the wifi. It was nice to have the extra fridge in the garage for extra things. We spent a lot of time in the back yard and in the spa. Great yard for kids to play in. We were happy to see a baby gate in the garage to use for the toddler. We would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect set-up for a multi-family get together. We were 3 families with kids, plus one couple, plus a dog, and the home accommodated us comfortably. Well-organized, well-stocked, and better than average quality furnishings and equipment. Excellent location close to Tahoe City. Great secure back yard for your dog or kids. We especially appreciated an owner who went the extra mile to make sure our needs were taken care of.

The only reason I am not giving this place a 5 stars is that there was a minor problem with the heating of the house. Not at all a big issue and I don't foresee that problem happening again since I am sure the owners will take care of it properly. Apart from that we very much enjoyed the stay in the house. We went there for the thanksgiving weekend. It is quite spacious and very well equiped. It is maintained well and all equipment is in an excellent working condition. We got more than what we expected. We were 5 families on a joint vacation with about 11 adults and 6 kids. There was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen and bath were well maitained and very well organized. The ladies loved the kitchen arrangement. The kids had a gala time with plenty of room to play around and lots of fun stuff to play with. The pool table is in excellent condition. The hot tub was great. Also Chuck, the guy who owns/runs the place is a very nice guy to interact with. We had made a last minute booking and we did not get enough time to send the checks before checking in. In spite of this, he let us checkin. Also, we requested him for an extra nights extension which he gladly obliged to without extra charge (because of the heater issue). Overall, I would highly recommend this place and given a chance I will surely go back.

We were a large group, nearly at capacity. We found a clean, organized, beautiful home. Common rooms were large and inviting. Bedrooms were good-sized. With 3 bathrooms, there was no waiting. The back yard is large enough to play group games in, with a huge, outside table comfortably seating 14-16. The kitchen was so well-equipped that we lacked nothing. The owners were very fair and a pleasure to deal with. Plenty of parking for everyone. The nearby pool/tennis complex was great and really close. The beach was a bit of a hike, but nice enough.

We had a wonderful week at Marshall’s Place. All of our kids, their spouses and our grandkids were there (12 of us). All but one of our grandchildren slept in the second floor dormitory-style room, and really enjoyed being able to spread out in the spacious room. The kitchen works well for preparing large meals and the house is conveniently located near a wide variety of fun activities. We wish we could manage such a gathering there every year.

Marshall's Place was perfect for our family reunion. Plenty of space for everyone! We enjoyed the pool table & spa. Wireless internet was GREATLY appreciated. The outdoor dining set-up (and gas grill) were much appreciated and used every day. The 2 A/V systems were a big plus for keeping the kids happy. A wonderful get-away! Thank you!

1. Was the house cleaned to your satisfaction when you arrived? Also, was the hot tub spotless? Please let us know of any issues. If you were happy, please indicate that as well. Our cleaning staff will be happy to know. The house was spotless - kitchen, bathrooms etc. I immediately relaxed, knowing we had a "good" house. 2. Can you please let us know what you particularly liked about the property and your stay? Also, please let us know if it is not ok to post your comments to the guestbook attached to our internet site. When we saw the backyard with the tables, umbrellas and all the chairs - I knew we could all "fit" and enjoy our meals together. It was always cool in the back with the afternoon breezes and we enjoyed every minute together. Appreciated having the 2nd refrigerator in the garage for wine/beer/soda - also the 2nd dryer made the laundry job flow more easily. The bedroom/bathroom set-up worked well - no "lines" - and the whole family enjoyed the dorm room, especially the teenagers.. A wonderful house for our reunion and being in Dollar Point was especially great for walks, the pool, the beach and the quiet. Please feel free to use my comments on your web site - or as a referral - it was a very enjoyable experience working with you and the house was everything (and more) that you said it was on your listing. We had 8 adults & 6 children at our stay here and the home fit us very comfortably. The home was very neat upon our arrival with a kitchen that was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware etc. Also, the amount of towels were excellent. The pre-heated jacuzzi, right out of the back door was well used & greatly appreciated by all. The dorm room upstairs which includes the pool table & tv with all the videos was especailly appreciated by the 4 boys who stayed up there on this trip. The location is only a quick 2 1/2 miles from Tahoe City, Safeway and restaraunts. Very convenient. The owners were quick to respond to all my e-mails & phone calls prior to staying there and upon arrival the satellite dish for the TV was broken. They immediately contacted the satellite TV company and had the problem fixed quickly. Everyone on our trip was pleased with this home and would recommend this home to others.

I would rate our overall experience very positively. I especially liked the easy internet access and great directions about how to use everything. The house was nicely furnished without being too "precious" so we weren't overly worried about the kids wrecking some priceless antique. Loved the hot tub and the fact that you allow pets. Our toy poodle had a great time surveying the domain from the high snow drifts in the back yard. The kids loved the rumpus room upstairs. Location was great, beds were comfortable. This was a great property for two families because there was enough room for everyone to spread out. I would rent it again, and felt it was a good value. I wanted to thank you very much (a little belatedly) for being able to rent your place over superbowl weekend- we had a blast. The house is really well set up - even better than the way I imagined it and the way it was described on the website. I would rate the overall experience as absolutely great In terms of changes, I pretty much liked everything the way it was. I would definitely rent again.
