The rooms are tastefully decorated and have exquisite views. The bathroom is built around a large "Gringo" tree with an open shower under the branches and sky above. The kitchen and living area are under an open palapa overlooking the beach.

Only the finest natural materials have been used to make this a unique and beautiful retreat. A private plunge pool is just a few steps off of the terrace. The pristine beach is just a few more steps beyond.

The quaint pueblo of San Pancho, with shops and restaurants, is a 10-15 minute walk down the beach. One of the best restaurants in town, Cafe Del Mar, has opened another restaurant, Mar Plata, just across the street.

    • My wife and I stayed at Lolita in late April 2006 for our honeymoon, and it was definitely the best part of the trip! The bed was to die for, and the open-air bathroom and kitchen were very enjoyable. We were there five nights; the last two nights of our trip, we stayed at a hotel in Bucerías that was rather disappointing. San Pancho made a great base for road-trip excursions (Vallarta, Sebas, Tequila) and the relaxing atmosphere of the town and the villa were always welcome at the end - or middle - of the day. Pilar was such a kind, dear lady. She accommodated our schedule changes graciously, and cooked whatever we wanted with a very good hand - the best housemaid anyone could ask for. My wife had never been to Mexico before, and she was disappointed when we landed in Vallarta, driving on dusty roads past industrial parks, seeing the dead plantlife of dry season along the highway. Once we got to Lolita, though, she learned to love México. She would return in a heartbeat, if for no other reason than to stay at the villa. One warning to anyone checking the property out: the plunge pool was smaller than we expected, not good for much besides cooling off after working up a sweat. The other two adjoining houses have larger pools, though, and I'm sure the other guests would be more than happy to allow you the use of theirs.

Jeff: Thank you so much for the wonderful week we had at your place, Casita Lolita. Maria and I could not have asked for anything more beautiful and relaxing if we attempted too, the place was simply blissful. All the details you placed into the layout of the property and especially the landscaping was beautiful. The flowers and plants that were placed on the property brought out more of the magnificent scenery. The property was simply magical! Your staff: Yeyo, Pilar and Moniko were absolutely terrific; they were so warm and welcoming. Pilar made us 2 wonderful dinners. Moniko was great and very talkative (we learn a lot about San Pancho) and he is such a wonderful tour guide. Moniko, Maria and I went to P.V. one day to go boating and wound up snorkeling and after that we all went out for a delicious seafood lunch in Bucerias (Moniko's suggestion). They made us feel right at home and as if we have been coming to Casita Lolita for several years even though this was our first visit. We loved the town and many of the people we met including Tony (across the street) and he was very nice and shared several great stories and Tamara gives great massages!

    • Thanksgiving 2005. No more decisions on which "in-laws" we celebrate with. Our Thanksgivings will forever be spent in San Pancho at Las Casitas Bonitas. It's like coming home each time. The turkey feast prepared by the crew at La Ola Rica was awesome. The beaches are superb & absolutely deserted. The sunsets are breathtaking. The people of the pueblo are so genuine, sincere, & accommodating. We promise to know more Spanish by our next visit. After months of life in the concrete jungle of Houston, we treasure our time at Lolita. The flawless decor, artistic design, and mesmerizing aura of the whole complex is sooo wonderful. The place is just perfect. Kudos to Jeff and Bob. Hugs & kisses to Pilar, Monika, Isabel, and Yeyo. We can’t wait to see you all again. Same Time, This Year, and the next, and the next, and the next!

    • Lovely! We celebrated our honeymoon here in the first week of November and had a beautiful time. We found the owner incredibly accomodating and welcoming, the town of San Pancho charming and the casita impeccable: well-appointed, private, with gorgeous grounds. And the sunsets! We hope to return...what better recommendation?

    • Jannin and I had a fantastic time. The house was beautiful, the setting magnificent. We really appreciated how friendly Pilar and Monico were, they made our stay extra special. I recommend Casa Lolita and San Pancho to anyone who wants both luxury accommodations and a real Mexican experience.

    • Jeff, our visit to San Pancho was magnificient. It is as you advertised. Very friendly, safe, quiet, pretty, convenient and accessible. Your property is also as advertised (better actually). Four of us were in Tranquilo and two in Lolita (Amorito also looked great). We were impressed with the general architecture, landscaping, details, art, and the great touches (soaps, kitchen aids, etc). I have never seen a place so well stocked with games, necessities, and recreational equipment (quality kayaks, boogie boards, etc). The beach was beautiful and the ocean majestic. Great sand, clean, etc. The village was very cool...the smallest one we have visited in Mexico. Very quiet and charming, yet big enough to offer several restaurant choices (loved Celia's) and any needed provisions. Loved our 15 minute beach walk each way to/fro center of San Pancho. Finally, the staff was top notch, polite, and highly professional. They were helfpul with all manner of things. And they sure can cook. And a terrific bargain, too. Thanks for all your help while we were preparing for the trip. You are an extraordinary host.

Dear Jeff, Mary and I had such a wonderful time at Casita Lolita. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed everything and that we are looking at our calendar to book a return next year. All the details you so lovingly put in place delighted us -- decor, comfort, wifi (not that we used it, but what a nice touch and intriguing to consider for another trip), DVD's and satellite music, kitchen appliances, b asic condiments, purified water, the great lounge chairs, umbrella for the beach, bird and other books, boogie board, candles, soaking tub (and a full moon to go with it).to say nothing of dear Monico and Pilar, who added so much, and Isabella and Yeyo with whom we had less contact but who seemed like quality folks. Our take on the staff was that they went out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay a pleasant one. And three cheers for Pilar's coconut shrimp! We also enjoyed our neighbors, and we became a congenial group through the week, so much so that it was sad to leave them as well as the surroundings when we packed our bags on Friday. Monico took all of us from the two Casitas to the Mariettas one day, and we had a great time, learned a lot and had a ball with all of them. In all, it was a perfect get away in a perfect setting. We feel grateful that we found your listing and were able to make it work for us. Orchids to you and Bob for your imagination and resourcefulness. As someone said in your guest book, "Buy the town!" We can hardly wait to see what you do with the place across the road.

Hola, Jeff, Our stay at Lolita was fabulous. The digs were so cool. The staff so capable and amiable. We stayed closer to the casita this trip only venturing out to Sayulita for the surfers. To La Penita for the wonderful market with a walk on the beach to Guayabitos. Each time we affirmed our decision to stay in San Pancho.

    • Although we stayed for an unusually long time (7 weeks!) we couldn't wait for each day to start. First a perfect walk on the beach to town and Hueavos Rancheros for breakfast at Celia's, then a sunny walk back to a full day of reading, writting, and playing. The open air kitchen and fantastic cook (Pilar was her name) made the paradise like none other in our experience. The gracious owner/host clearly had his guests best interests at heart when he designed these units. Something about waking up and seeing the ocean right out your window as the sun rises...does it get any better than that?

This new unit is extraordinary. The unit has the feeling of seclusion, even though there are two other units on the property. The palapa covered kitchen/eating area is cool with the large ceiling fan and is fully equiped for all your cooking needs. From the bed you can see the ocean and hear the waves. A hot tub was not yet completed, but will be within a few steps of the unit. The bathroom is unique and beautiful. This is a must place to stay for a couple wanting to forget all worries.
