The crew of Southern Belle provided a great escape in a beautiful setting! They have really explored the islands of Bocas del Toro and know all the inlets for snorkeling, fishing spots, rainforest hikes, best surf spots and the local restaurant scene. Snorkeling in the area with all the diverse sponges in a rainbow of colors was one of the most spectacular snorkeling experiences we ever had. George & Melinda know how to keep their guests comfortable on the sailboat after a day of exploring. Good company, libation and food was first class. Melinda's seafood chowder is to die for! A memorable trip and highly recommended!

About the owner: George and Melinda Salley were born and raised in Louisiana (United States) and bring you the southern hospitality and great Cajun-creole cooking with which they were raised. Before taking off in 2006 to explore the Americas aboard Southern Belle with their then 5-year-old son, they worked in environmental engineering consulting in Southern California. They have spent the past 7 years exploring Central and South America, and have been exploring Panama since 2009.
Why the Owner Chose Bocas del Toro:
After exploring much of the Americas, we fell in love with the islands and people of Panama. There is a rich diversity of landscapes and activities, and the area is still not well known in the traveling world.
The Unique Benefits at this Yacht:
Southern Belle is the perfect home away from home in the islands. It is a large stable platform, with plenty of deck space for lounging, easy access for swimming and snorkeling, a full galley, and comfortable salon for chilling. And best of all....you can take it with you to explore the nooks and crannies of the Archipelago. While all the other tourists are heading home in the pangas from their day at the Zapatilla Islands, we are settling in with a cold drink to enjoy the sunset, a great dinner, and the beautiful starry night skies.
