Kalama Terrace condo description
Our condo is located in South Kihei on Maui's sunny South Shore, just one block from the World Famous Kamaole Beach I/Charley Young Beach for excellent swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and beachcombing. Just three blocks from Cove Park Beach (think surfing and paddle boarding), and within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, Starbucks, and shopping, our unit is very convenient to all that Kihei has to offer. The complex features a recently renovated pool with a nice outdoor barbeque area and laundry facility. Our top floor unit is one of only ten 2-bedroom condos in the complex and is located in a quiet area that receives great trade wind breezes. Being on the top floor means no noise from tenants above! There is assigned, off street parking right below the unit.
The condo is very comfortable and inviting, with newer furnishings, carpeting throughout and tasteful tropical décor. Each of the two bedrooms has its own air conditioning unit so that everyone can sleep in total comfort. The trade wind breezes will normally keep things cool but it’s nice to have the A/C for the nights when it’s just a little too warm to sleep.
The living area has plenty of room for relaxing with a large, comfortable futon style couch that can be used as an additional bed, and a futon style chair. There is a small dining area inside and a larger table and chairs on your private lanai (balcony). We tend to dine on the lanai to enjoy the breeze and sun. There is also a roll down sun shade on the lanai if you want more shade or privacy.
The kitchen is modern with granite counter tops, new dishwasher, microwave, a gas stove, new toaster, new coffee maker, new dinnerware, and much more. We’ve supplied all the necessities for you to cook and dine in if you choose.
We have supplied the condo with everything you will need to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. There are a variety of items that you can take with you to the beach – boogie boards (large & small), coolers, umbrellas, beach chairs, sand toys, sand mats, skim and kick boards, beach towels, even a cart to use to roll things there!
Our condo is perfect for couples and families with a comfortable Queen master bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds. The futon in the living area converts to a full-sized bed too. We have also supplied a Pack n Play for the little ones.
You’ll be so busy having fun at the beaches or experiencing the Maui night life that you probably won’t have time for TV, but if you do, we have provided a new 50 inch LED HD 1080p flat screen along with a Blu-ray player. We have over 100 cable TV channels. You can access Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, and many others through the TV. There is an extra HDMI input if you’d like to bring your own Apple TV or Roku as well. There is also a stereo with CD player and an Auxiliary input for an iPod or mp3 player.

Great family fun vacation condo!
Great family fun vacation condo!
We recently rented this 2 bedroom 1 bath condo in South Kihei. It was ideal for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) but if you needed to you could always squeeze in 2 more on the futon in the living room. Location, location, location for our small family it was ideally located we love the south side of the island anyways (less built up than the north side) so it worked out perfectly for us. Starbucks is short 5-10 minute walk away (depending on how fast you go) in the morning. The condo is situated right in between Cove beach and Charlie Young beach. If you like paddle boarding then Cove beach is a great place to launch from in the morning when the seas are calm, as the surf picks up it is a great place to surf for beginners on paddle boards or surf boards. Charlie Young beach is slightly south of the condo (4 minute walk or if you have a bunch of beach stuff there is an easy loading zone and parking within 100 yards of the beach) and is a HUGE beach about ¾ of mile long and about 150 yards deep at some points. So there is a ton of room on the beach it never feels crowded. If we were spending the day at Charlie Young then condo is so close that we can run back for lunch if needed. As for the condo itself the size again for our family is perfect, it is very clean and we all felt right at home as soon as we got there. The condo is on the 3rd floor and you can even see the ocean from the deck and kitchen window. The owners Charlie and Linda have done a great job stocking the condo with everything that you might need when traveling away from home, I can’t remember one thing which we needed that was not already there. The condo has what appears to be 2 brand new window A/C units in both of the bedrooms which makes for a very nice sleep. But the unit is high up enough and situated to where we would get a nice ocean breeze in the morning and evening. The bedrooms were great for us the larger bed room has a queen and the smaller one has two twins. The bathroom is compact but again very clean and worked great for us. The kitchen is has everything you need to prepare full dinners if need be (we ate out all but 1 night for dinner, there are several great places that you can even walk to for dinner Sushi, Italian and Mediterranean to name a few). The condo has a ton of beach stuff to use while you are there which makes going to the beach so much nicer. Overall we had a great stay and did not have any complainants, which made our vacation stress-free.
