Renovated fifties lake house. Built by the local car dealer to be the jewel of Flathead Lake. The lot was split and a single-story home built in front, so we do not have lake access. We do have beautiful views of the lake 100 yards away.
Lake opportunities are a minute's walk away. Nearby you will find The Marina At Polson (883-3636) offering boat put in ($15.00), dock slips ($50.00/Day, jet ski/boat rentals and scenic lake cruises. Further down Glacier Raft company offers daily white water trips, chartered fishing and sea kayak and paddle board rentals.
Beotchler Park is ½ mile (ten minutes walk) east. The Park has a picnic area, swimming, showers, zero-entry beach for young swimmers, playset, swings, horseshoes, volleyball, concessions, paddleboat rentals, 27-holes of golf and the Port Polson Players live summer theatre.
You will find the lake ever-present while you hang out at 'home'. The large master bedroom looks out onto the lake. The living room has a futon, fireplace, books, TV with a selection of DVDs and lake views. The fifties kitchen also looks out at the lake and features a maple table which seats six. The sunroom boasts 30 feet of windows facing the lake. The 3/4 bath is full of fifties charm including the turquoise built-in tiled shower. On the deck a refinished teak table and chairs seats 6 and the teak cooler is a great place for your cold drinks.
You'll find log beds and dressers, a writing desk, and hooks for your clothes. We have high quality comfortable beds with tasteful bedding selected for high thread count.
We provide a set of good pots and pans, dishes, silverware and quality bakeware. Everything you need to make, serve and enjoy a great meal is here. The covered barbeque deck faces the lake and is a great place to get out of the sun and gaze at the lake.
The lawn is well-loved with flowerbeds, fruit trees and space enough for croquet, badminton, or soccer.
We are conveniently located near all services- city, lake, parks, marinas, fishing and boat rentals.
A small undeveloped wetlands/woods to the east provides a haven for the wildlife-- deer, raccoon, fox, ducks and geese, doves and songbirds, gulls, eagles, owls and hawks—often spied from our property.
Everything is within walking distance.
Within a few hundred feet you will find groceries, banking, gas/car wash, Steve's video rental, espresso, McDonald's, Ace Hardware, and Pizza Hut.
Burgerville, Polson’s favorite fast food (seafood baskets, burgers, chicken, malts) is directly across the street. The Hot Spot, an excellent, family run Thai restaurant, is 4 doors down.
Polson, the largest town on Flathead Lake offers art galleries, book stores, gift shops, dining, health food, yoga classes, a 2-screen movie theater, Kwa Tuq Nuk Best Western Casino, and several city lake parks.
A designated bike trail runs in front of the house and connects to Polson (west) and the Walmart/Safeway shopping center (east). A hundred yards north, the old railroad bed has been converted to a 15-mile non-motorized walk/bike path. Several nice biking loops using this path and the country roads south of town are available. WE PROVIDE SOME BIKES BUT DO NOT HAVE HELMETS AND OTHER SAFETY GEAR.
Some of Western Montana's best Hunting is available outside Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge and Pablo Reservoir National Wildlife Refuge. Wheat fields and wetlands are found all over the Mission Valley, so, fall hunting near Polson is great for pheasant, partridge, ducks and geese. Pablo Reservoir National Wildlife Area --10 minutes from our door doorstep--provides refuge to upland birds and roughly 80,000 ducks each fall. Hunting is available on thousands of acres of State and Salish Kootenai Tribe lands. One half hour south, Ninepipe National Wildlife Area offers more great habitat and hunting. Your dogs are welcome but must be kept off the furniture.
We are located on the Salish/Kootenai reservation which offers great sightseeing from the 114 year-old Pow Wow at Arlee to the moving frescoes at St. Ignatius mission, to the National Bison Range. The stunning Mission Mountain Wilderness has dozens of lakes and offers great day hikes and fishing.
Glacier National Park, 73 miles north is a great one-day adventure. Finally, you can easily drive around Flathead Lake (105 miles) in a day, with plenty of time to enjoy the many quaint towns, bays and state park beaches along the way.
Our philosophy as landlords is to provide excellent, high-quality accommodations with an eye for detail and beauty. There is a $500 security, damage and cleaning deposit ($300 off season) - refundable if the property is properly cared for and returned in the condition you found it, well-cleaned at check out. We HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental. The rental is attractive, inviting, clean and comfortable. from the property (both inside and from the front porch) are astonishingbies of Flathead Lake and surrounding mountains; fun places to walk, swim, boat, eat and shop are with walking distance. The owners are friendly, thoughtful and kind - and really made us feel welcome. We also really like that well-mannered pets are welcome since we like to travel with our dog. We look forward to visiting this lake property again.

I had a very nice stay here. I was a little hesitant to travel with my new baby, as this was my first time away from home with him. I was delightfully surprised to find this place had all the comforts of home. The kitchen had all that I needed to prepare meals, the linens were clean and new. This place is obviously cared and loved for by its owners. The view of the lake was wonderful. I enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying the breeze off the lake and appreciated a shaded spot for the baby. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends and family.

Beautiful Flathead Lake
Beautiful Flathead Lake
What a great place! The owner was so nice to quickly answer questions. We felt so welcome in this fun house! It is well stocked with games, books, and fun things to do. A big kitchen table to eat and converse at. My husband and I and our little dog, really had a great time! The covered deck can accommodate many at a big table with adequate seating. The view of the lake is gorgeous! A very comfortable home to stay in! This made for a wonderful vacation.!

Cheery, Light & Inviting
Cheery, Light & Inviting
Craig & Debra have created an exceptional vacationing experience in their beautiful house. The location is convenient to walk to stores and restaurants. There is a great bike trail, just a few minutes away that snakes through town, or (depending on preference) away from town. The house has everything for your comfort. Besides looking so inviting, the log beds are sooo comfortable. The kitchen has most anything you might need to whip up your favorite meal. The house has a ample stock of books, games, and movies. Debra`s attention to small details are fun to find thought out the house. The decor reminds me of a calm seaside retreat, maybe a small step back in time. Our favorite hang out was on the covered patio looking out to the lake. A beautiful, large table and chairs make for happy times. This house will not disappoint. Craig and Debra, you created a gem. Thanks for sharing it with us. K & J

Great location/view, clean, and affordable!
Great location/view, clean, and affordable!
We had a terrific time with my family over July 4th. A stay in this downstairs unit offered a relaxing respite, and the owners are wonderful and very hospitable. The downstairs unit has a surprisingly spacious layout with quiet bedrooms on opposite sides, and easily accommodated five adults and two young children. The kitchen has all the basic items you need to cook relaxing dinners served on the covered patio with an impressive lake view. My kids loved playing on the spacious lawn while the adults relaxed with a glass of wine and took in the sunsets. The golf course and public beach/park are just minutes away which made this Polson location ideal! We would highly recommend this site to friends and plan to go back in our future Flathead Lake visits. David and Julie

My friend and I stayed in the lower unit and were very pleased. The beds were super comfortable and everything met or exceeded our expectations. The sunroom is my favorite room and the completely covered outdoor patio was great for grilling in the rain. A special thanks to the owners Craig and Deb. We will see you again in September.
