In the Blue Ridge Mountains, Smokey Mountains do look beautifully hazy at times and crystal when winter comes. This is not an ordinary Beech Mountain cabin, it is sometimes called a Chalet in Bravaria. An outstanding Beech Mountain rental, this Chalet features a large rock, stone fireplace in the vaulted ceiling Living Room which is on the second floor.
The view is out the Living Room mahogany and beveled glass doors from Europe, and windows(both floor to ceiling)in the Dining Room. You see the ski slopes and distant mountain tops. This "yard" makes a great playground for all ages any time: Spring, summer and fall; as well as during ski season, of course.
There is HIGH SPEED DSL, so bring your wireless lap tops or J45 connecting cables for ports in most rooms
Of all the Beech Mountain Chalet rentals, this one is only ten feet from the ski slope, separated by a nice mountain stream, and small water falls. There is a HOT TUB located on the lower deck, outside by the stream. Banner Elk vacation rentals, Blowing Rock Cabins and other Banner Elk NC rentals are within 10 to 30 minutes drive.
Across the ski slopes you see the mountains, and the range up to the top of more mountains. From the second floor sun deck, which surrounds the chalet on two sides, you can see some of the Beech Tree Village with tops of their tall European style building clock towers and the ski school area. The ice skating rink is in the middle of the Beech Tree Village surrounded by other Bravarian type buildings and shops.
Located in the Beech Mountain Resort, SKIBEECH is just a ski down the slope to buy your lift ticket. This Chalet is a three-story, double A-Frame, Bavarian-Swiss-style Chalet, with a wrought iron balcony facing the road. Diagonal window mullians enhance the European look. Elegant throughout, there are lush mattresses covered in designer fabrics.
The entrance on the first floor comes into a sports equipment room for skis, boots, jackets, or depending on the season, golf clubs,tennis rackets, fishing poles, hiking sticks and the like. That leads to a large Recreation Room with separate fireplace and small kitchenette, Surround Sound Entertainment Center of CCTV-CD-DVD, VCR players, electronic Key Board and a small performing arts stage.
Then, one enters the first floor entrance hall/stage for performances in the Recreation Room with fireplace and kitchenette, and Surround Sound Entertainment Center. The staircase leads up to the main, second floor. On the first floor are three bedrooms (all with twin beds), two baths as well as a washer and dryer. The staircase arrives in the Living Room on the second floor which has a two story vaulted ceiling and glass from floor to ceiling all across one side facing the ski slope, and 150 year old carved mahogany, beveled glass doors from Scotland.
There is the fireplace, another Surround Sound Entertainmnet Center color satellite TV, VCR,CD-DVD players, and Master Station for the intercom system. The intercom has a CD player, and intercom for music and communication throughout the Chalet. It also has a speaker by the HOT TUB located down on the deck outside by the ski slope. Its fun to sit in the HOT TUB and watch the skiers go by, or in other seasons to see and hear the creek running by the Chalet.
The Dining Room is on the second floor also, with an antique English corner cupboard where very nice English SPODE china and REAL silver utensils and serving pieces are located for candlelight, dress up dinners. There is an ice maker under the bar. Place mats and trays are stored in under counter drawers between the DR and Kitchen.
The kitchen is well equipped, with another set of china and crystal for breakfasts and lunches, garbage compactor, garbage disposal, dishwasher, as well as a 2 oven stove, micro-wave and refrigerator. Out the kitchen door on the deck is a gas grill. All you need is provided, except your food and drinks and paper products and dishwasher soaps.That second floor also has two bedrooms (one King Bed and one twin beds) and a bath.
The third floor has two KING bed rooms connected by a balcony that looks down into the living room, and there is a bath off that balcony. Those two bed rooms are the largest in the chalet, both with vaulted ceilings and king sized beds. One has a balcony over looking the ski slope, the other a balcony overlooking Skiway Circle.
