The ideal family vacation.
The ideal family vacation.
The description of the house did not do justice to what we found when we arrived. The house, and especially the kitchen, were well equipped. We actually found that we brought way more stuff than we needed. We were able to cook several of our meals "at home" thus saving us a considerable money and effort since we had such a large group (my wife and I plus our two children and their families). The view from the deck and the surrounding landscape were also far better than the pictures in the listing portrayed. The owner was very pleasant to work with and answered our many, many question promptly and completely. One of the owner's suggestions for places to eat was the Bavarian, located in the Taos ski area. It proved to have excellent food in a beautiful setting. In addition to the many hiking trails, the nearby village of Arroyo Seco is worth checking out. It has several little shops and galleries. Of course Taos, with its many attractions is not far as well as historic Pueblo de Taos. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. It was the perfect place for our family vacation and well worth the long drive from Oklahoma.
