Eagle River chalet description
Welcome to your vacation home! We hope you enjoy your stay and activities.
Comfortable chalet home with fireplace and lakeside on clear large Kentuck lake, about seventeen miles east of Eagle River. Come fish, swim, campfire and relax. The water in front of the home is mostly weed free, with a gravel bottom. I've seen beautiful large walleye from the trail near the lake. Up to two pets are welcome - no more though, no exceptions. It is a nice safe place for them, with a long driveway away from the main road. Kentuck Lake offers a swimming area, campground, public boat launches and clear water. We have a private pier for your boat to tie up at, and you can launch from a public launch nearby at Kentuck Lake Campgrounds. Our pier does not have electric, so if you want to plug in your boat, bring long electric cords. We take the pier out any time after October 15, so if you choose this time period, the pier may or mat not be available.
We have a campfire pit area behind the house, away from the lake, and another one between the house and lake. This one is a smaller area, and on the hill side. There are about thirty steps to get down to the lake, but the rise is not too steep. Neighbors are about 100 feet away, but shielded by trees, giving us quite a nice sense of privacy. The way the house lays down the slope of the driveway, makes it quiet and secluded on the lake. We have limited parking right down at the cabin, but ample for your trailer, second or third vehicles at the top of the driveway.
The home stays comfortable with three portable stand up fans, ceiling fans, and patio doors to the lake on both levels. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace and/or woodstove. You may contact Jim Sergent at 715-891-1436 to check on firewood delivery pricing or purchase at a roadside stand. The fire extinguisher is located left of the fireplace and no the floor – please leave it there! Bring your own disposable items such as paper towels, toilet paper, plastic trash bags, spray cleaners, dish and dishwasher soaps. We provide bed linens. Please bring a few beach towels, and we supply the inside kitchen and bath towels. You may choose to stop at Trigs Food and Drug or Pick N Save in Eagle River for last minute groceries or ice. There is a sporting goods store near Trigs for bait. www.boatsport.com is the nearest marina and is also located on Hwy 70 east of Eagle River. You may contact them for boat, pontoon, jet ski, outboard rentals and/or delivery. If you bring your own boat, launch at one of the public boat landings and tie up at our personal pier. There is a nice swimming beach at Kentuck Lake campground.
We would love to have you stay here. We have a flat rate of $175/night and are not open during winter months. We reserve by the week time period for $1575 Saturday 3 pm to Saturday 10 am, during June-August. If we still have an opening within two weeks of your arrival, you may reserve with a three night minimum of $175/night.
We have a lockbox punch code entry system, so you may arrive any time or day of your reservation after 3 pm, and depart no later than 10 am so that we can clean and complete any maintenance. Bring a flashlight in case you arrive after dark and the light is not left on, or the power goes out. The key is located in a lockbox on the side of the house, about five feet high, just to the left of the entry door. We have a spare key on the kitchen table and suggest you return the entry key back to the lockbox immediately, so you don’t accidentally forget to return it. Punch the code into the lockbox to re-open to return the key. We will email you the current code upon final payment of the three correct checks.
We think you should come and visit and see what you think. The family has decided to rent their long term ownership cabin and are new to vacation home renting. We would love your feedback and welcome your visit. A word of caution to GPS navigators, beware the route it may take you because there is no intersecting road from Kentuck Lake campground to the home. We'll give you exact directions off Hwy 70, east of Eagle River, WI to Kentuck Lake Road, then Tuttle Lane, then to the property, upon your reservation.
To receive your full or partial damage deposit back, follow the contract and the general cleanup instructions on page two, and depart the property no later than 10 am. We will let you know by email well within the required 21 days if we have voided your damage deposit check. Rest assured, this is the normal procedure. Please remember this is a non-smoking home and if you smoke outside pick up your trash or expect the damage deposit to be cashed.
Directions from Trigs Food & Drug: 925 E Wall St, Eagle River, WI 54521:
Start going west on E. Wall Street toward South 7th Street. Take immediate left turn onto South 7TH Street for .1 mile. Turn left onto US-45/E. Pine St./WI-32/WI-70. Follow WI-70 straight through stop light intersection. Follow WI-70E for 11.4 miles. Turn left or north onto Forest Road 2196/Kentuck Lake Road and go 1.2 miles. Take a right at the big flag and Hiles sign onto the first major paved road, Tuttle and continue about 2 miles. Stay right at every Y and don’t turn onto E. Tuttle. When you run out of pavement, go about one-half mile further and look for the “Krajewski” sign, “2937” and some colored reflectors on the left. Drive up a steep driveway, and park your second vehicle and boat trailer up by the garage. Only drive one vehicle down the steep concrete road to the house, or you will have difficulty turning around. Make sure your vehicle is departed from the house by 10 am so the cleaner can come down the driveway unimpaired.

Calendar also shows open if I am waiting on a contract. Renters have four days to deliver contract and reservation check upon verbal or email request to reserve.
To make a reservation, send an email asking to reserve. I will send you a contract by email. You print, sign and date the contract and put 25% down payment check in the mail the following day. The 25% holds your reservation and is non-refundable. At least 30 days prior to your stay, deliver a check for 75% and a check for $500 damage deposit. This is non-refundable 30 days out from your stay.
