Welcome to your vacation home! We hope you enjoy your stay and activities. Comfortable chalet home with fireplace and lakeside on clear large Kentuck lake, about seventeen miles east of Eagle River. Come fish, swim, campfire and relax. The water in front of the home is mostly weed free, with a gravel bottom. I've seen beautiful large walleye from the trail near the lake. Nice catches of musky, walleye and northern pike are common. Up to two pets are welcome - no more though, no exceptions. We don't charge an extra fee unless there is a problem. It is a nice safe place for dogs, with a long driveway away from the main road. Kentuck Lake offers a swimming area, campground, public boat launches and clear water. We have a private pier for your boat to tie up at, and you can launch from a public launch nearby at Kentuck Lake Campgrounds. Our pier has electric, so if you want to plug in your boat, bring an extension cord and help yourself. We have lights leading down to the lake, so you can go crazy fishing 24/7! We take the pier out any time after October 15, so if you choose this time period, the pier may or may not be available. We offer an apx. 12' rowboat with oars and a paddle boat. Please bring your own life jackets, though you are welcome to use anything in the house. With that in mind, please take care of things. If you use the boats, they MUST be left upside down on the shore. We sincerely need your help on this. We will cash the damage deposit if this item is not done. We have a campfire pit area behind the house, away from the lake, and another one between the house and lake. This one is a smaller area, and on the hill side. There are about thirty steps to get down to the lake, but the rise is not too steep. Neighbors are about 100 feet away, but shielded by trees, giving us quite a nice sense of privacy. The way the house sits on the lot and down the slope of the driveway, makes it quiet and secluded on the lake. We have limited parking right down at the cabin, but ample for your trailer, second or third vehicles at the top of the driveway.
The home stays comfortable with four portable stand up fans, ceiling fans, and patio doors to the lake on both levels. We have three bedrooms, one bath. there is a double bed room on the main floor, another bedroom with two twin beds, and a loft with two twin beds. Downstairs is a large sectional couch. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace and/or woodstove. You may contact Jim Sergent at 715-891-1436 to check on firewood delivery pricing or purchase at a roadside stand. The fire extinguisher is located left of the fireplace and not the floor – please leave it there! Our kitchen is quite functional with the normal array, except dishwasher. We also have a blender, microwave, and toaster. We have one outside kettle charcoal grill and one outside propane grill. Purchase your own charcoal and refill propane tanks yourselves as needed please. Bring your own disposable items such as paper towels, toilet paper, plastic trash bags, spray cleaners, dish and dishwasher soaps. We provide bed linens. Please bring a few beach towels, and we supply the inside kitchen and bath towels. You may choose to stop at Trigs Food and Drug or Pick N Save in Eagle River for last minute groceries or ice. There is a sporting goods store near Trigs for bait. www.boatsport.com is the nearest marina and is also located on Hwy 70 east of Eagle River. You may contact them for boat, pontoon, jet ski, outboard rentals and/or delivery. If you bring your own boat, launch at one of the public boat landings and tie up at our personal pier. There is a nice swimming beach at Kentuck Lake campground.
