The Dora Ann Guest House was a single-room retreat built prewar on the Chautauqua Cove shore of Lake Dora. It overlooks Lake Dora near the old wood-rail trestle just south of the site of the historic Chautauqua Hotel, now a city park.
This sweet home was expanded over the years, then totally renovated in 2004 to reflect the earlier Florida flavor, while including all of the modern conveniences. The original black cypress floors in the main room were stripped and restored to their original beauty.
Less than a mile from the heart of Mount Dora, you can stroll the expansive private yard to your own dock with a view of downtown to the east and fabulous sunsets to the west. Wildlife abounds along the chain of lakes and in the wilderness connecting canals.
The Guest House has new central air conditioning, main living and dining room (shown), kitchen with breakfast nook, new appliances, dishwasher, ice maker, and microwave. Main bedroom has a new king-size bed, guest room with new queen-size. One-and-one-half bath with tile shower and separate washer and dryer area. Rear deck and patio, private dock, carport, and off-street parking.
The kitchen has all of your needs and the linen inventory is new and complete. New TV with DVD, VCR, stereo, and, of course, cable. The grounds are professionally maintained weekly. NOTE: no smoking, children or pets.
