Memorable for all the right reasons. Fantastic walking and swimming. Le Massif de L\Esterel took my breath away. The view from the Garoupe lighthouse was worth the walk up to hill – what a moving place. I will be back (again). Formidable indeed! We were here to celebrate Paul W’s birthday and I’m pretty sure he had a good one!

One week is not enough time get to see everything the Cote d’Azur has to offer. However, if I stay any longer I fear I won’t be able to leave. The house is beautiful, as is Antibes and its people. A wonderful holiday. I hope this place touches you like it has touched me. Hoping to return, Andrew o’Brien (obë)

Well, I think Sorrel has pretty much summed up our stay at Les Trois Palmes! A few points for you which you might find useful: Take the words ‘Bon Soir’ from the French guys as ‘Get your coat, love, you’ve pulled!’. If you wear a miniskirt whilst walking through Antibes, expect copious amounts of filthy looks from the French women! Take time to visit Cannes where you can actually say you have been in the exact spot where the likes of Brad and Jen, John Travolta etc. have stepped. There are also hand prints which make great photographs! The Antibes beach is a short walk away and is great for catching some rays – the sand gets really hot!! Juan les Lins is the place to be in the evenings. I suggest you catch a taxi, they’re about 15 euros each way, although don’t try to haggle with the driver whilst attempting to impress him with a combination of Swedish, Greek, Spanish, English, German and French languages as they generally aren’t amused! The dipping pool is a great way to cool down, mind you from being based on the ground floor the stairs are a bit of a chore. Play the marbles game – we managed to conquer it twice! A fan of Big Brother! The loo near the tabe resembles the Big Brother diary room! FINALLY (at last) enjoy yourselves! Thanks to Sorrel for inviting me and even more thanks to Roz and Clive for putting up with me!!

Hiya! We have all really enjoyed our stay in Les Trois Palmes and we loved the lively Atmosphere of Antibes (though not so lively at 3 am coming back from clubbing!). I came here with my parents but also brought my three best friends Victoria, Tilly and Holly to stay for a week. Being 16, we were mostly concerned about good areas for sunbathing and shopping during the say and clubbing at night and fortunately we found both! Beach-wise, we mostly went to the beach by the harbour which is about 5 minutes walk though we did vist the other bigger beach which tends to be busier and is about a 20 minute walk. For nightlife we went to Juan les Pins (by taxis because the trains tend to be delayed or cancelled and the bus 1A stops running after 8.20 p.m.). The clubs there include La Village which we really liked because we got in free on Monday’s Lady Night, Milk and Whisky Go Go. Door prices range from 16 – 20 euros and drinks are really expensive! Normal bars include The Reserve and Crystal which both have open air seating and a chilled atmosphere. The promenade is busy from 10 – 12 p.m. with stalls open and there are plenty of cute boys to chat you up! Antibes nightlife is good for just chilling and places like the Tequila Bar and the Irish pub (where we got free drinks!) were our favourites. During one day we visited Cannes by train (delayed) which is OK for a day which is not too hot! We all loved the house and the alleyway to the back door apartment was good when coming in in the early hours of the morning! Hope you enjoy your stay here. I know we did!

We had a great holiday. Lovely house (except for the noisy builders next door). Don’t eat in Le Marquis restaurant opposite the fromagerie. Aubergine just down Rue Sade from fromagerie very good. Oscars very good food. Great train service – especially enjoyed evening people watching in Villefranche. Hope to come back soon.

Love France, love the Cote d'Azur, love Antibes...and especially love Les Trois Palmes! We stayed for one week at the house last month (June 2004) and had a really wonderful time. After staying in Nice for a few days beforehand, we were glad to settle into the adorable town of Antibes. Les Trois Palmes was just as it is on the website: a great old house with loads of charm, right where you want to be, in the middle of things but somehow still peaceful and quiet, well cared for and nicely decorated. Lynn, our contact for the house, was a crack-up and a sweetheart...meeting her was a great way to start the week! House Favorites: The basement: having a washer and dryer! The first floor: what a marvelous kitchen, and the big table was a perfect place to drink beer and play cards. The kitchen window was also a fun spot to look at the man in the window across the way working on his computer in his underwear, and his cat, who liked to sleep out on the window sill, was also entertaining. The second floor: the guys in our party liked having the t.v. so they could wake up to the news on the BBC in the mornings, and to watch the Euro 2004 football in the evenings. (When we weren't watching it at the pubs, that is!) The third floor: great bathroom! Loved being able to look out the window as I showered. The fourth floor: well of course the terrace! It was also nice to be able to cool off in the dipping pool, and the refrigerator for keeping drinks cold up there was definitely an added bonus. All in all a fabulous vacation experience! Thanks to the Turmaines for such a lovely rental property...we hope to return soon to your wonderful house in lovely Antibes!

The Seiler, Luke and Kunkel family enjoyed a week at Les Trois Palmes. We loved the ambiance of days spotlit with golden mornings and soft ethereal evenings. Each meal we prepared here a crossroads of culture and history – the legendary bread, olives and aubergines were wonderful. My niece painted an exquisite watercolor of the view. I will return!

“Les Trois Palmes etait ‘etoile de notre vacances!” Old Antibes is a friendly and delightful place for a vacation. Les Trois Palmes was the star of our stay in the South of France. All the shops, cafés, and wonderful restaurants were never more than a short stroll. The beaches, also a brief walk, were simply gorgeous. The weather offered great recuperation – sun on every day and yet comfortably cool in the evenings. The house is a perfect layout for two couples to be together or find their own space as fits the mood and moment. The terrace, overlook the namesake trees, was the crowning jewel of the apartment. There is nothing like winding down from a fun-filled day on the top deck with a cool drink, a warm, gentle breeze, and a glowing sunset. All in all, it was simply magnificent!

Les Trois Palmes – we will miss you. After traipsing all over Ireland for 3 weeks, this has been pure relaxation. Just what we needed. My mother even called a real estate agent to find out how much houses cost here. (oops, trop cher!). A fond farewell from the Quinn / Kurkholm family – Michelle, Jon, Joan, Joe, Megan and Sam (age 4) from North Carolina.

I had a good time water skiing - Louis and Tim The little white train is a great way to get across to Juan les Pins when there are young children and swimming towels etc. to carry. Love the house, the terrace, the location etc. etc. Hope to be back again next year, if possible.

Had a wonderful stay in a wonderful place. Perfect location to visit the Cote d’Azur. We went to St. Tropez in the south west, all the way to San Remo in Italy in the north east. The only problem we had was trying to go to the Lac de Ste Croix, recommended by a previous guest. The drive was far too long and on very curvy roads, so we had to turn around half-way there as the kids got car sick and were miserable. The trip’s not for those susceptible to motion sickness. The best parking, if you can get a spot, is in Place Nationale, only a couple of blocks away down Rue Sade. Free parking all the time, at least for the time being [not sure about exactly when it is free, but there was a charge of about 1 euro an hour during the day in September when I was there- Brad]. If you have a car, groceries are much cheaper at Géant, or another big supermarket. For us, this quaint, vieil ville in Antibes was the perfect place to vacation, with the charming, narrow streets, markets, and convenient access to the Riviera cities. Nice and Cannes would have been too big for us. Bonnes vacances!

We have been here for one week – one to go. Observations? Love having DVD – VCR – great with kids. Geoffrey’s Bookstore is wonderful. Studio is perfect for teenagers. Washer-dryer are a dream. Amenities aside, we love Antibes. Royal Beach – great restaurant, good beach. Take Blvd. Wilson to Juan les Pins for fun restaurants and beaches. Cannes family fave - Caffe Roma. Stroll to Le Suquet for museum and view over harbor, lunch on beach. Monaco – Café de Paris, view of harbor, hike through old town. Nice – Le Safan in Cours Saleya St Paul – Café de la Place and Fondation Maegret More to follow next week! Second week – perfect weather. Beaulieu, Juan les Pins for more beach time. Visit Villa Kerylos and La Caloinque beach. Vintmille is fun but not on market day - it’s like going to Woodstock. Too many good restaurants to remember. Great trip – hope we can return.

Ten lovely days starting with the morning walk to the baker’s. It’s absolutely fantastic being so close to the provencal market. That has resulted in several delicious brunches on the roof terrace. We also enjoyed a five day provencal cookery course with the English chef Anne Ager. Check out the info in the yellow folder if interested! We have thoroughly enjoyed Antibes, and would very much like to return to this town and this perfectly situated house!

A lovely place to stay. And we have enjoyed this warm, cosy setting and made it our home away from home for the duration. Thanks! - Max Kuo Les Trois Palmes is a great place to call your home away from home! Perfect location, 3 minute walk in any direction will take you somewhere exciting: market, café, ocean! And the house with all its splendour and warm-welcoming was fantastic. And great service! Thank you! - Stephanie Kuo

Antibes has been a great place for painting. I loved the narrow streets textures of stone and old plaster, potted plants, the wonderful market with fresh produce, herbs, etc. I completed five paintings and took enough photos to complete 15 to 20 more. Loved having croissants on the little balcony each morning. The balcony (both 6th and 3rd) and yellow kitchen were our favourite spaces. Some of the best restaurants I 've eaten in are here - Auberge Provencale on Place Nationale has terrific service, food, presentation, and a beautiful atmosphere. The light here is what a painter seeks - no wonder so many famous artists came to this area. I hope to paint back home in my studio from studies and photos and have a show of works (perhaps by April or May) of my trip to Antibes. I'll put a few on my website when I've had a chance to complete the body of work.

A wonderful time for all. A bit too hot, but apparently unusual. A bit too busy but high season - school holidays. House is in a great location - enjoyed the atmosphere of old town. Design is good for families, plenty of space + showers! Terrace is just perfect: love relaxing up there and so private, even though in the middle of town. Had many family meals up on the terrace made from local fresh produce - a bit pricey but couldn't be fresher. Fantastic cook with us, so we've been spoilt. Boulangerie down the street must be best in town. Mum - Lac de Ste Croix - dramatic journey through Gorges de Vordon and spent hours messing around on lake - the most beautiful place, completely undeveloped. Chef - Sights/smells/ sounds/markets, food shops - but that applies to France from Brittany southwards! Monaco - surprised to enjoy this so much. Stunning drives on Moyenne Corniche and Corniche Subline Gorge du Verdon . Nice very atmospheric. Hiring motor boat even small, very well worthwhile. Kirsty - Restaurant - Auberge provencale fabulous but pricey. The beach was very good but sometimes a bit busy! Lac de ste croix was very good as well. Boulangerie round the corner does really brill strawberry tarts. Yummy! Rory - The whole holiday was great, but I probably enjoyed the daytrip to Monaco the most. The whole lifestyle of the country is amazing. Visiting the football stadium Stade Louis II was a great experience. Jamie - I liked everything. Chef - P.S. The nicest property I've stayed in - plenty of space for us all. Kitchen you can actually use. C'était parfait! Merci à vous. A bientot? Graham Sutherland, Susan, Kirsty, Rory and Jamie, Jack.

Les Trois Palmes, Il faut être une des plus belles maisons du vieil ville - lunch on top terrace is bliss! (I love the swallows swooping and crying). For a dramatic backdrop, try Plage Garoupe - but the best beach on Cote d'Azur has to be Pamplona (only 1 1/2 hrs drive, past St. Tropez!).

I have fallen in love with this house myself, it 's just great. And Antibes is such a lovely place. Of course I'm still a party animal, so at first I was a bit worried there wouldn 't be anywhere to go out. But me and my friend Pandita found some really good places, for example: Presentz : Nice music, bit of a dance, and Saturday 's Hip Hop night.. Extreem : Lively, loads of chatting and also dancing.. Tequilla bar : Good for sitting on a terras and having a drink.. La Gaffe : Got this cool live music and a lot of dancing. The Blue Lady : Nice drinking place And after all bars close you have the sad 'freeky' bar where you only really go because you want more alcohol. And then there's the weird out Golden Gate. I only went there once and there was a phome party and a pool that everyone was making out in, so if your into that kind of stuff, go there! Well that's just about it. Going out life in Antibes is a real 20 - 30 year old category, real fun people because they work on the boats. Guys and Girls! Anyways, hope you all have a great time in the Trois Palms house.

Beautiful Antibes / beautiful Trois Palmes. An unforgettable, fun holiday for each of us - amazing as we were 12 people from 2 families spanning 4 generations - the youngest 4 years and the most senior nearly 86! The design of the house makes it easy to have some some space when you need it, my father (86) managed the stairs fine - and we had fabulous big family meals and barbecues on the roof terrace - what a view, wow! Yes, we'll definitely be here again.

We've been having a great time at the Trois Palmes. Sasha and me just had 2 fantastic weeks here in Antibes. The weather was great, the people were really friendly and the beach was very nice too! As for going out Sasha already told you the cool places to go to. But I must say the greatest party I went to here in this lovely town was definitely the Sunday night at PRESENTZ [ HIP HOP night ]. I'm sure you will all have a wonderful time here. Have fun.

Lovely house - fabulous evenings spent on the balcony. Best almond croissants are from the local boulangerie (turn right out the door, about 100 m). Shopi is nearest supermarket, good value and very comprehensive. Champion is a bit further, near the Place Charles de Gaulle where and banks and cash machines are. The little beach is safe for kids to swim and has a couple of snack/ice cream vans on it. After dusk, the marché stalls pack up and the Art Market comes out. You can order a take-away pizza, and study the art while you wait! Great holiday! Tim, Karen, Rob, Jules and Bryn, Louis-Jacques, Chloé

OK - random impressions of the week - - always check the price at the Marche Provencal - you wouldn't believe what you can pay for a melon (6.60 euros!!!) - favourite restaurant - Le Jardin, outside. don't buy a hat from Coup de Chapeau - it's very expensive! don't fire champagne corks onto the balcony of the lady with the gnomes - she gets very annoyed! - Le Pimms bar by the square (Charles de Gaulle) does nice nibbles. - Beware Germans on the beach, they steal your space - but we love 'em! - We had a hilarious night when people poured water over the heads of late-night revellers outside the building opposite. - Favourite bar - Extreme - head towards the port from the market - quite groovy but not painfully so. - Worth a visit to the lighthouse for good views and a feeling of mild physical exertion! And it's free (on the Cap). Perfect weather, very nice time, beautiful house, will be back for more - cheers!
