SEASON OR ANNUAL RENTAL ($3,000 month high season or $1600 month annual lease) Our very charming home is located in the historic Del Ida Park District off Pineapple Grove (Second Avenue)- JUST 5 BLOCKS FROM ATLANTIC AVE. This 1950's era ranch has been lovingly updated in the Key West-style and offers such details as Scalamandre drapes, central air, Thomasville furniture, attractive art & decor and antique furniture. APPLIANCES ARE NEW. WASHER/DRYER ARE NEW.
The home is an easy walk along Pineapple Grove (art and antique row) to trendy Atlantic Avenue which is lined with boutiques and wonderful restaurants and clubs. We are three-quarters of a mile from the beach which is located at the east end of Atlantic Avenue (bike, drive, or walk down Atlantic Avenue). We particularly enjoy our morning walks to Atlantic for coffee and evening strolls when we people-watch on Atlantic Avenue.
This beautifully decorated home offers a spacious kitchen (15 by 8) with all appliances and dishes, a charming dining room (both are periwinkle blue), a large living room with French doors that open to an enclosed sunroom, two bedrooms and an updated bath. There also are French doors in the dining room that open to a private yard with a stone table and benches for outdoor dining. The lemon yellow living room offers comfy leather sofas, a bamboo design desk, sisal carpet, and Scalamandre drapes with pineapple detailing. The bedrooms are also painted Key West colors and have coordinating drapes. Washer/dryer on premises. All furnishings are very nice!!
Delray Beach offers a two mile stretch of white sand beach and in 2004, it was named a "Blue Wave Beach" (one of 50 in the entire United States) for its beautiful condition and for ecological reasons. In 2004 it was named as "best beach to swim and play" by South Florida Parenting Magazine readers. Downtown Delray offers art fairs, theater, concerts, and events almost every weekend. There is a world-class tennis center nearby that offers 14 clay and additional hard courts (19 lighted) plus an 8200 seat stadium. Events include the Chris Evert Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic and the International Tennis Championships. On going events include Friday night mixers.

Owner Description
We are are professional couple who enjoy the warm Florida weather. We picked Delray because it offers a beautiful beach and so many activities, such as tennis and golf. Delray is an active, youthful town with a downtown shopping-restaurant district. There's a beautiful new library downtown, a huge tennis center with clay courts and a stadium, and an art fair or other event almost every weekend. We walk everywhere from our house.
