Great time in Cabo

We had a great time at the villa. Our group was very large ranging in age from 11 to 73. We chased whales in water taxis, spent a few hours on lovers beach, dinner cruise on the Cabo Ray, ATV's in the hills and the sand dunes North of town, zip line at Costa Azul. You have to get up early at least one morning to see the sunrise on the beach in front of thr Bel Air. If you have older ones in the group I would suggest a rental car, the hill up from the beach or the bus is a killer. The community that the two houses are in is fantastic. Working with Lori was great and Manuel was a big help at the Villa. The only bad thing I can say is that ten days wasn't enough.

3 couples rented the Tooker Villa over New Years and had a great time. The house is well located and has plenty of room. The house provides great value for the cost. The weather was fantastic and we really enjoyed lazy days around the pool and hot tub. We did rent a couple vehicles which made getting around easy and Manuel (the caretaker) as well as Lori (owner) were a great help to us all. We especially enjoyed the recommendations for restaurants that Lori provided. Every meal was great and the recommendations were bang on. We would highly recommend the Tooker Villa to any of our friends.

Just returned from 8 day stay at Tooker La Jolla and it was great. We had a group of 8 and the Villa was very spacious and accommodating for the entire group. We all especially liked the pool and spa, which we were in every day. The whole gated community was beautiful. Manuel the caretaker was very helpful and assisted us in any way he could with area information and also he and his wife cooked an authentic Mexican meal which was delicious. I would recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Cabo.

This was one of our best vacations we have ever had. The house was big and roomy, fitting lots of people with big bedrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen was a reasonable amount of space and perfect for cooking dinners, breakfasts, or preparing lunch. The pool was fantastic; and the spa was warm and relaxing. Our daily trips to the beach were very convienent, and we walked their most of the time, enjoying the walk as much as we enjoyed the ocean itself! The beauty of the properties was very welcoming, and their could not have been better service! Thanks Lori!

If you are reading reviews you must be serious about your vacation time and money. I vacation frequently and in many different parts of the world. Two reasons to choose Lori Tooker’s homes are as follows: First: Cabo is a great place to vacation because of the numerous activities and attractions. Cabo is served by several airlines and is easy to get to from the US. Sixteen adult members of my very diverse family gathered here. The age range was from 16 to 89 and our interests are even more extreme. Everyone found plenty to do up and down the coast line. But even better was staying home in Lori’s secure and private villas. We always felt safe wherever we went. The locals were polite, engaging and eager to help. The desert and ocean views are spectacular and the climate is agreeable. Local prices are reasonable. We organized two day dives and a night dive with all equipment for $100. Wow!! Shopping at the sidewalk markets was fun and inexpensive. I rented a Dodge mini-van for the week for $243. It was nearly new. Bargain!! Second: The Tooker Villa and Casa are perfectly situated between the airport and Land’s End. Superb beaches are within hiking distance and the boogie board rentals on the beach are cheap. There is dynamite snorkeling at Chileno Bay only a 10 minute drive from her doorstep. The giant Mega discount store is about one mile away. It has everything you need. Excellent restaurants are nearby. There is even a movie theater close by. The free tennis courts are one block away and are in excellent condition. Lori provides free internet and free calls to and from the US. The guarded community is quiet and safe and very upscale. Lori is an exceptional hostess with great taste in her decorating and floor planning. Her homes facilitated our large family gatherings and conversations and “fine” dining. Her private bedroom suites provided each of us with privacy and quiet restful nights. I will be returning to Lori’s place. Don’t hesitate to email her with all your questions.

We had a wonderful time at the Tooker Villa in Cabo. We were right at Zippers, which is a great surf spot. There is a killer little bar/restaurant right there that makes great margaritas. The house is centrally located to grocery stores and restaurants. Downtown Cabo is a short twenty minute drive. The house itself, is really nice. Heated pool and hot tub make it tough leaving the residence. We really enjoyed ourselves. Have fun!!

Our entire family (15 adults and children) get away each year for a funfilled vacation and this year was no exception as we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and sunshine of Cabo and the welcoming atmosphere and hospitality of the Tooker family as we stayed in both of their properties, the La Jolla Villa and the Casa Del Sol Villa which are right next door to each other. Both have beautiful pools and landscaping, hot tubs, outdoor grills, fully equipped kitchens and excellent living and sleeping accomodations. We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Cabo and found a wonderful beach, Palmilla Beach, just a short drive from La Jolla that was perfect for snorkling and small children on one side and waves for the adults on the other side. And the great thing is that you can drive your cars right up the grass cabanas on the beach. The Tookers provided us with the tip about this very special beach as well as the Mega Supermarket (just a few minutes away), their personal doctor which one of us had to use during the week because of a cold brought from the states, and their recommendations for golf, boating, fishing, dolphins, and all of the fun things you want to do when you visit Cabo. My family and I have been going to Cabo yearly for the past 15 years. Five years ago I found the Tooker villa listed on VRBO and booked a week stay. From that point on, we have never stayed at another property in Cabo, except the other Tooker villa next door! We have been to both the villas in total about 7 or 8 times. It's hard to say which villa we like better. This particular villa, the "original" Tooker villa, is great for vacationing with friends or extended family because of the private entrances to each of the bedroom suites. Everyone has their own private space to get away, plus a large living, kitchen, dining, and patio area for gathering. We love the floor plan of this house. It's spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and has TVs in most bedrooms. One of the many nice touches you will find at this villa is high-end linens and towels. There is no shortage of bath towels or beach towels which all have that Downy fresh smell! But the very best part of the villa is the pool area. The pool is large, the landscaping is incredible, the lounge chairs are super comfy, and there is plenty of sun (and shade if you prefer). Enjoy your pool time with the outdoor sound system where you can play your i-pod, CDs, or satellite radio. I can honestly say, we have been staying at this house for 5 years and it looks as good as the first time we stayed. The Tookers take great care in maintaining both of their properties. What you see in the pictures is what you get, even better in person! Book a trip and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

I have now stayed at the Tooker residence in La Jolla twice, and I have to say that both experiences were exceptional. On the first trip my girlfriend and I invited some close friends to join us for an adults only trip, and there was no fighting over which room to sleep in as they were all suites! We felt at home instantly - everything that we could possibly need was there at our fingertips. From the moment we booked our reservation the Tookers were kind enough to share their insights as to what there was to do in the area - good shops, good restaurants, etc. So during the day we totally relaxed by the pool, sipping drinks while listening to the great music system outside, and at night we took their recommendations and tried some great restaurants. The place was so peaceful, we were truly able to "get away from it all" and have a great time. Some of our guests were able to partake of the best waves around, at the bottom of our hill, which just happened to be a short walk away to one of our favorite casual dining places - Zippers. There were a lot of activities for everyone to enjoy nearby. The second trip down to Cabo, we took my daughter and some other family members, and we had an entirely different, but equally enjoyable trip. A lot of time was spent in the pool and barbequeing, and there was room for the whole crowd. Bottom line - the rooms are all great, the kitchen had all of the amenities, the outdoor space is very tropical, and if you don't have a good time here it's your own fault. You are close enough to the airport that you can shuttle people back and forth if they don't all come in at the same time, and you are close enough to drive to downtown Cabo for all of the tourist attractions (shopping, restaurants, night life, etc). And there are great places to see in between. Perfect place for a family reunion or a group of friends.
