This family home set on the mountain in the Steamboat Springs ski village offers spectacular views summer and winter, over the Yampa Valley to the Flattops. Just two minutes to the gondola, it is your private retreat after a day of skiing, hiking, fishing, or just shopping on Lincoln Avenue.
The home features three bedrooms, two full baths, fully-stocked kitchen, large private deck, and large Hot Springs spa. Do not fight for space at a condominium hot tub, this one is all yours. And instead of slogging through the snow to some condo lobby, park in the private garage. A caretaker keeps an eye on the house and is there if you need anything. Set amongst the aspens, the serenity is overwhelming as the famous champagne powder snowflakes of Steamboat fall on you while you lounge is the spa. The home is furnished with rustic and southwest touches, which makes it an inviting winter hideaway.
This is not just a rental, it is our home much of the summer, so the feeling is personal and cozy. It is stocked with luxurious linens and comfy beds - room for up to nine to sleep. And we continually make improvements with new carpeting, wood floors, new appliances, fresh paint and more! If you like to party after your skiing, it is an easy trip down the mountain to the nightlife of Steamboat. If you like to stay in at night, there is nothing better than a warm cup of cocoa next to the fire, watching the lights of the valley dance out the west-facing picture window. The sports fans will love our large screen, flat panel, hi-def television, and we also provide free Wi-Fi access to the internet if you have to keep in touch with the world at large. (But why would you!)
Our home is located high up the mountain, so you get the best views in Steamboat. But, you do need a vehicle, because we're too high up for the city shuttle.

We had an absolute blast at this wonderful home. The big open floor plan accomodated our group nicely and the views of the entire valley were breathtaking. Nothing better than skiing knee deep powder and coming home to a hot tub with a view. We will definetly be staying here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a very enjoyable getaway for my family. The House was very well appointed, it was just like the description said down to the popcorn maker and great view from the hot tub!! The huge deck was great and overlooked the entire valley. It was very clean, cozy and the beds were very comfortable. The caretake made sure we were settled in and made sure everything was taken care of. Booking was very easy and if sitting around a warm crackling fire place while enjoying the views of the valley with friends and family sounds nice then this place is for you. We will be back. Thanks for the great stay!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: No doubt, the view is as good as it gets. That's what is great about our location: high enough above the valley to create a great panorama but near enough to the slopes that skiing is only a couple of minutes away!

This property has everything that you need. We had a couples retreat with a few of our friends. It was great set up and close to the slopes. This is a great deal and I would recommend this property to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

A great house with a great location!!! Deck overlooks town and ski lift. Enjoy every sunrise and sunset from the deck hot tub. Drive into town is less than 5 minutes! We loved the house so much we had to make ourselves go into town! Great kitchen, family room, comfortable beds and and did I mention the deck! We had seven people staying at the house for one week and it was wonderful. We never felt crowded. All the comforts of home except we were in beautiful Steamboat Springs! Great garage and long driveway for multiple cars meant never having to move cars around to get out. I will rent again and again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We have been skiing Steamboat for almost 20 years, and it was finally time to buy a place of our own. Four families got together to buy this home on top of the mountain, fixed it up with our personal touches, and we wish we could spend even more time here. But, when we can't be up in the mountains, we're happy to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Ski Ranch:
We have stayed everywhere in town, and there is no bad location. But when we found this house - and the views that are its finest feature - we knew this was where we needed to be. You'll be close enough to everything that it's never inconvenient. But you're also high up over the lights of the valley, and it feels like a million miles away. Believe us, you will not want to leave the deck!

So much more than just a condo, our home on top of the mountain includes a huge deck with nearly 360-degree views. The hot tub is all our own, just steps from the door, and cars stay in the garage - saving a lot of scraping after an epic Steamboat snow dump! Best of all, it's just a 2-minute ride down to the Gondola.
