Photo 1 - Venice, Italy Do you need a break? How about a typical "marinara-Veneto cuisine" and local D.O.C. wines? Well, Duna Verde is the place for you. Duna Verde is located in the heart of the Adriatic coast. Flowered paths, storybook architecture, far from chaos, overlooking the sea. This is a full-service community, with various grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. There is a great market once a week in the piazza (I love the drunken cheese). This beach resort is a five-minute drive from Caorle, one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite places. Here you will see the 'casoni,' the ancient fishermen's homes made of reeds. The exquisite aroma's of fresh fish risotto's and pasta's, and just talking about it makes me drool. Our home is nestled in a garden community with tennis courts, pools, and, if you choose not to go to the beach, the small garden is very relaxing. The first level is kitchen and living room with a bathroom. The second level has two queen-size beds and a room with bunk beds, bathroom with shower. There is a lower level where we rinse off and store two bicycles. A very nice stone barbecue is in the garden area. Because of the salt air we have given up on the washer, but there is a Laundromat very close to the house. Places to see - Trieste, Acquilea, Venice, Yugoslavia, Treviso, the entire Fiuli, and the Dolomites.
