Luxury condo in 'C' building, the newest and best bulding in a great complex. Ours is an end unit with fabulous, unobstructed 180 degree views of the really beautiful Playa Azul beach and ocean. You can see from Punta Gorda to the east to Punta Palmilla to the west. All rooms have a great view of the beach and ocean. Watch whales, jumping rays, passing fishing boats and yachts. For the surfing scene, the Zipper's break is in sight a hundred yards to the west and you can also see La Roca and Acapulquito (Old Man's) further west. You can rent surf and stand-up paddleboards on the beach by Zippers. And what a great beach! Walk for miles on white sand, or pull in at one of the many beachfront bars and restaurants. Well-built, well-furnished and well-equipped condo to make a vacation comfortable and easy. Plasma TV with Roku, computer and Wi-Fi, phone service. Fully equipped and supplied kitchen has ice-maker, microwave and dishwasher. 1750 sq ft unit has 2 central air conditioning units. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, though the guest bath is shared with living area. The complex is fantastic with 3 oceanfront pools (2 heated). The unheated pool is over 25 meters long (good for swimming laps) and the larger heated pool is also long enough for laps. 3 hot tubs around the pools and lots of lounging area, all with a great view and direct access to the beach. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and nicely maintained. There is a really good gym with Stairmaster, Elliptical machines, Treadmill and universal machine. Tennis court too! All of this is shared with only 76 (I think) units so you are never crowded. Gated entrance and 24 hour security and this is a really safe area. It is also very quiet and peaceful, most owners are retired. But so much fun stuff to do! Walk to 6 or 8 nearby restaurants or take a taxi for US$6 to downtown San Jose with the Art Walk (Thursdays), lots of restaurants (and some are excellent!), salsa (Fridays and Saturdays), the Historic Center (really nicely remodeled downtown) with lots of galleries and shopping. Golf nearby. Saturday Farmer's Market has good organic foods. The Mega is about a mile away and has ALL groceries (kind of amazing how Baja has changed... it is not cheap anymore, but everything is available and easy and the weather is still fabulous) Or go fishing! Excellent fishing for marlin, tuna, dorado, wahoo by pangas (USD$180 for 2-3) or charter boats from the nearby marina or from Palmilla beach (even closer). Gordo Banks is quite close but the fishing boats troll in front of the condo for roosterfish. Surfish for Sierra right in front! Rent surfboards or standup paddleboards on the beach just a short walk away. For more photos of the unit, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YARjYbP0nFA

About the owner: We are Californians, now mostly retired. We have traveled extensively for our work (I am a humanitarian aid worker and my wife is an educator and coordinates international educational telecom networks). We have lived in a variety of places (Fiji Islands, Mexico, Alaska and rural and coastal parts of California). We sailed to the South Pacific in the '80s and had a home and business in Fiji (truly an idyllic life) but then decided we had other things we wanted to do and returned to the US. We started traveling and boating in Mexico and have lived in La Paz and on the mainland near Manzanillo. We speak Spanish and can live wherever we wish, more or less, and have chosen San Jose del Cabo for our base in Mexico.
Why the Owner Chose Mykonos Bay: The area around Los Cabos, and San Jose in particular, is quite safe. The drug wars, kidnappings and violence found in other parts of Mexico are not found here. (This is the reason more wealthy and working class Mexicans are moving to the area).
We know Mexico and the Baja Peninsula quite well. The weather here is fantastic!! Much drier than other tropical coasts and unending warm sunny days and pleasant evenings. Warm, sunny comfortable days October through June (summers can be hot). The physical beauty is remarkable with intense blue skies and water contrasting with light tan beaches and the mountainous desert that is the Baja Peninsula. The water is warm and great for fishing, surfing and playing.
San Jose is easy to get to and get around and has a diverse and interesting community. There are lots of things to do in the town as well in nearby areas (the fabulous and much less developed East Cape starts just to the east of San Jose!)
The Mykonos Bay development is small, quiet and peaceful, but has all the amenities for those who do not wish the 'all-inclusive' experience. Excellent pools, gym, tennis court. No sales people are permitted on the site. The atmosphere is casual, friendly, quiet... people are here just to enjoy themselves!
The unit itself has wheelchair access. It is an end unit above the beach with wide-open views and, so far, we just have not seen a mosquito or bug! You can hear the waves all night and see the ocean from either bed.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: Surf-fish, paddleboarding, surf, swim, horseback riding, are all right in front of your condo. Good restaurants, bars, groceries are in walking distance. There is a really great patio balcony for watching whales and the sound of the waves breaking puts you to sleep.
