Our weekly rate is among the lowest for houses in North Lake Tahoe. Rent for $975 per week in the Fall. Nightly non-holiday rates are $175 in the Fall and $250 in the Winter. All rentals are charged a $140 cleaning fee and 10% Placer County tax.
Enjoy vacationing with family and friends in Tahoe's North Shore when you stay at The Tahoe House. We have a 7-person hot tub and free internet! From the deck, you can see peeks of the lake through the trees in the backyard and great beaches are just a few minutes drive away. Or just walk or bike two blocks from the front door on National Forest Service trails.
The Lake Tahoe area claims the highest concentration of world-class ski areas in the country. Tahoe City, with all of its shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and golf course, is only three miles away. In five minutes you can be on the beach at Skylandia Park or you can be skiing at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, or North Star, all 10-15 miles away. The Tahoe House is conveniently located to both summer and winter activities.
Situated on a third of an acre, the house boasts a large backyard with a new 7-person hot tub under the stars. You will also appreciate the flat driveway, which is a plus in the snowy winter, and up to five cars can park in it.
The bedrooms are downstairs and the upstairs is one BIG open living room with a kitchen and half bath. You and your family will relax while enjoying the open feeling of the open-beam vaulted ceilings and the forest views on all sides of the house while warming up next to the wood stove. A seasonal creek runs through the property. Children are welcome and amenities such as a portable high chair, Pack n' Play portable crib, step stool, nightlights, outlet plugs, child gates, and games are provided.
We furnished The Tahoe House for your enjoyment as well as our own. The home has a well-equipped kitchen, two TVs, two DVD players, one VCR, a stereo, dishwasher, washer and dryer, coffee maker, hair dryer, and other amenities to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Linens are provided and the down comforters on the queen-size beds will make your evenings extra cozy. Other included extras are firewood, local telephone calls, cable TV, and snowplowing of the driveway in the winter. Smoking is prohibited. House-trained pets are allowed.
We cherish the time we spend in our vacation home and we want to make your vacation time there as perfect and relaxing as possible, too.

Year Purchased: 2006
Becky and Mike love spending time at their vacation home with their family. They met skiing in lake tahoe and rented houses for several years before deciding this was the perfect spot for them.
Why the Owner Chose Carnelian Bay
We love the close proximity to Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City. Biking and Hiking trails on national forest land are out the front door. We love the easy drive to squaw valley, alpine, or northstar on ski days!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Inside the house we love the high-vaulted wooden ceilings upstairs. It creates a lodgy comfy feel for hanging out with family and friends. We love the hot tub!
