This recently furnished custom home has an open floor plan, three bedrooms plus a den (which can be used as a 4th bedroom), two and half baths, a four-car garage (one air conditioned) and sits on a triple lot in a quiet neighborhood. The great room has 12' ceilings and opens up through huge, sliding glass doors to the screened patio/pool/spa area. The fourth bedroom/den/theater room has a DVD, CD, Stereo and suround sound home theater system with a big screen TV and cable (there are also TV's in the Great room, master bedroom and secondary bedrooms). Long distance phone service and broadband Internet with WIFI is provided free of charge. The master bathroom has a walk around shower and a large soaking tub. We just spent a wonderful month in Martin's home in Cape Coral. It was everything we expected and more. Very nice quiet area, and the house was beautiful. This is a great area for cycling so do bring your bicycles if you are interested. There are bike lanes on most streets and a major bikepath that cuts through the city. We walked our dogs every day around the neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. There are burrowing owls on many streets that you can view close-up, and we did see a couple of Bald Eagles. Be sure to catch the happy-hour at Rum Runners, it is just around the corner and a great place to sit outside and watch the boat traffic. We also checked out the Irish pub, which is walking distance, as we were there for St. Paddy's day-great fun. The only thing we missed was a gas grill. We use our grill a lot at home so without one we had to change our cooking habits slightly. We would definitely recomend this rental, it is good value, a great location, and having the caretakers right next door is very covenient. They were helpful and informative, and treat you as friend.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a fantastic stay in this home. It is beautiful with everything anyone could want or need. My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I found the lay-out of the house perfect with bedrooms separated on each side. We also brought along our four-legged children. There is a fenced area just for them that was wonderful. The garage is huge and the pool/spa was inviting and refreshing. Our son-in-law had a blast fishing the canal from the dock. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, my daugher and I strolled safely in the evenings. The property manager lives next door and was friendly, helpful and answered all our questions. We have rented several homes in Florida and for the price, location, condition and ease of renting, give this one five stars. The owner is very responsive and we will rent this house again soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Nice place for a getaway. Certainly beats the cheap beachside hotels and offers a central location to get around. Pros: Master bedroom is located on one end of the house while the other two bedrooms are at the other end - offers privacy.The home is well appointed and the pictures do not do it justice - it is better than the pictures show. Beautiful views of the canal and pool and very quiet and tranquil. Pool heater worked very well! Cons: The property manager is next door, which you would think is a good thing until you find out he likes to water the plants at 8:30 at night when your not expecting to see a person stalking around the house - not so great, not so private - I am sure he meant well but it was a bit unsettling. The pool was dirty - cigarette butt on the bottom with other trash and needs a good scrub (no pool skimmer - I went and bought one to clean out the crud). Could use a book with information such as nearby eateries, shopping and attractions. Beach was about 20 minutes away (If you pay the toll - 30 minutes if not). Wireless worked well and was easy to get on. Bottom line - superb place for a family, cant beat it for the money. If your looking for a couples retreat with a bit of privacy in the pool/spa - maybe not so much, unless the neighbor decides to go on vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for the insight. The neighbor didn't even realize he was watering at a bad time. He will try to do this at more appropriate times in the future. I'm sorry the pool didn't meet your expectations initially. The pool servicing company will be working a little harder in the future to ensure that the pool and spa are 100% when guests show up.

This homes location is on a very wide canal and the surrounding area is very quiet. It is also in one of the nicer neighborhoods which is safe to walk at all hours. Our plan was to stay two months in this home and that quickly became three then four. This is by far one of the nicest places we could have stayed especially for the price. The property is very well kept including the wonderfully kept lawn and pool. Most of the issues we encountered were our own creation and all minor bordering on trivial. Even so they were addressed very quickly and without any fuss. The owner and manager couldn't have been more friendly and easy to do business with. There was some wear and tear from us and our pets above the norm so I fully expected much of the security deposit to be used to fix those issues. To my surprise most of the deposit was refunded. The small portion that was kept had a detailed explanation of the charges which we felt was more than reasonable. I suspect that a normal stay would have the renters getting their full deposit back. A few notes. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality dishes, utensils and wares. Clearly the owner cares about the quality of a guest stay with these little touches. The pool/spa area is impressive with a very high end easy to use pool heater which was great for relaxing. The home has four bays in the garage but only three are really usable. The three are massive though and can easily accommodate an armada of vehicles. Lastly this home has three dedicated bedrooms with another large office/den/bedroom multi-functional room. The couch in this multi-functional room does fold out to become a fourth bed and it is reasonably comfy but it is not as private as a dedicated bedroom. The owner lists sleeps 8-10 people which can easily be done in this home with plenty of room to spare. This is a very large spacious home. The wonderful reviews and long term rental history of this property was what sold us on renting this property and happy to say our experience reflects this properties well earned reputation.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

As soon as we arrived at the house after a long flight we were impressed. It looks good from the outside and inside has a lovely, spacious and very Floridian feel. The home was immaculate and the decor perfect, we couldn't believe it was a rental and these owners really look after it. The best part of the house is the very wide rear canal and pool, it has total privacy. This home is an absolutely gorgeous. It was clean, private and comfortable. As soon as you come in you feel yourself relax. The house is spacious and calm. You can enjoy the feeling of privacy but if you wish to go to the market or marina it less than 5 minutes away. This house is perfect for a family vacation or to go with friends. The kitchen has everything you need. It is truly a little piece of paradise. The listing description was entirely accurate regarding the location and the photos reflect the rental's appearance. The house was perfectly clean and the owner gave us all the information we needed.
