  Wow! Our family had a wonderful stay in November, so much so that it has prompted me to write a review. We were immediately drawn to the view from every room, sensational does not begin to describe it! Then there is the cabin itself, spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable couches, beds, plenty of linens, everything was in working order. Easily accomodated the 6 adults & 6 teenagers, not to mention the entertainment of the pool table, foosball, and hot tub. TVs in every room. We enjoyed the fire place, watching movies together, worked a couple of puzzles, not to mention very hearty games of cards & dominoes. My brothers laptop had great connection as well as all our cell phones. We cooked everyday, even Thanksgiving day we had a feast, turkey & dressing, homemade rolls, green bean casserole, & much much more all made from scratch. We truly enjoyed our stay & hope we get the chance to do this again someday! It was a very special occassion celebrating our parents 60th wedding anniversary in an extremely SENSATIONAL place!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

  As soon as we saw the view from this cabin we were in awe! Sitting out on the deck in the hottub looking over Gatlinburg was just awesome. The cabin had a great setup and was very cosy for our slightly bigger family. Everything was in great shape so we didnt have any problems. Thanks for a great trip!

  When we first looked at the webpage we thought, "oh yeah, these pictures were taken with a telephoto lens". The pictures do it no justice. It lives up to its name of Sensational View. We had 9 adults and 3 children and had ample room. Close to town but yet out of the way enough where you still have bear sightings. Yes, bears. The parking is a little intimidating the first day, but once you get used to it, it is smooth sailing. The owner was nothing but pleasant and easy going. This place is definitely a spot our group would revisit. Also, the hottub has been updated from the picture in the photos. It was wonderful. One more thing, I have stayed in dozens of cabins and the kitchen supplies have always been minimal, if any. This place is well stocked. We cooked 3 of the nights we stayed and didn't have to go buy pots or pans. We had 4 cars (2 SUVs) in the parking area and could have easily fit 2 more. The only negative thing :) is the grill was gas and we love charcoal. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay and enjoy your cabin.

  Had a great time with our family in Gatlinburg for Christmas and this cabin helped make it great! We had everything we needed and it was very accommodating to a large crowd, including children. Definitely will rent here again!

  We had stayed at this cabin for new years 2010, and it was a great stay! The cabin was perfect! We all stood on the deck and watched the ball drop from the space needle and then the fireworks! It was a really great location!

  I had not been to Gatlinburg in about 30 years and i and was very happy with everything. Done a lot of hiking and really enjoyed all the things to do. Will be going back in 2011.

  I've been visiting this area since I was a kid, and never get tired of it! Sure it's not perfect, but the good strongly outweighs the bad. The views are amazing and the life of the town is invigorating! If traffic has you bummed ask the locals for help! We stayed at Sensational View and Glenn and his staff was awesome! They gave us directions around the traffic! Ask the locals, most will help! The cabin was great, I strongly recommend staying at one your next trip! If you want to see some amazing arts and crafts make sure you go to the Glades area, beautiful and even educational. We will be back again!

  Gatlinburg is one of mine and my husbands favorite vacation spots I do recommend staying at a cabin if you can it is alot more relaxing. But if you like the convience of stepping out your hotel door and being in the hustle and bustle of downtown then the hotels are for you But I will say alot of the hotels in gatlinburg are old and the ones we have stayed in the beds will Kill your back :( We are actually leaving this weekend 03/10 going back with family and friends. The cabin we chose on the internet was wonderful and overlooks gatlinburg. Also the are many attractions that are great to visit. the ones that are not that fabulous is The Earthquake Ride Be aware this ride is over priced and didn't even work right when we rode it. The outside of the ride looks great but don't be fooled. on the other hand Ripleys Aquarium is worth the money and so is Ripleys Believe it or not very interesting. The Alamo has the best food it is a bit pricey but well worth it. Caves Cove is a beautiful drive into the past we always see alot of deer, and hopefully some bear this time around. The Arts and Craft Community is a great place to visit They have alot of homemade jellies and bread and dips great local people very nice. And if you have time drive over the Mountain into Cherokee what a DRIVE.. Beautiful does not even describe it. Take time on the drive to stop at the old mill and the old house places. All in All We love it there hope your next family vacation to the mountains is as pleasant as ours always is. God Bless..

  We were there in December 2010. It snowed while we were there. The cabin was the nicest cabin we have ever stayed in. Spotless clean with all amenities, pool table, and best of all wonderful views. We stayed in Sensational View....we will be back

Cancellation policy:

We are delighted to confirm your reservation. Guest renting cabin must be 25 years of age or older. PAYMENT IN FULL is required 30 days before check-in and credit card is automatically charged unless personal check or money order has been received by due date.3% additional fee added if balance is paid by credit card. A $25.00 service charge will be added to any returned checks. Please email us if you prefer to have your credit card charged. COMBINATION (KEYLESS ENTRY) TO CABIN WILL BE GIVEN TO GUEST 2 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AT THE UNIT BEFORE 4 PM! CHECK-OUT IS NO LATER THAN 11 AM! ($25.00 per hour additional charge for late check-out or early check-ins). Place dishes in dishwasher and trash in proper receptacle upon departure. SMOKING is not allowed inside cabin. No pets ($150.00 charge if pet has been in unit)! No refunds are issued due to weather conditions. Cancellations: To cancel a reservation, the guest named on the rental agreement must notify us by email of the request to cancel. Reservation fee will be forfeited on all cancelled reservations charged. Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date will result in all funds deposited being non-refundable. If we can rebook the unit for the same dates, you will be refunded the amount at which the unit was rebooked, even if it is a lesser amount. If cancelling 7 days or less, prior to 4pm on your arrival date, there are no refunds or reschedules. Policy Information Security/Damage Deposit: An initial security deposit may be charged to confirm your reservation. This deposit will be held for up to 10 days after check out date to insure that property was maintained and well cared for by renter. If there are no damages or extra cleaning charges required, this deposit will be returned in full. Refund Policy: All our properties are privately owned. Descriptions, bed sizes, amenities and names of cabins are subject to change without notice. Your cabin/chalet will be inspected prior to your arrival to ensure that all equipment is in good working order. In the event of a mechanical failure, we will make every effort to have all reported malfunctions corrected as promptly as possible. Neither the rental company nor the property owner will be obligated to give replacements or refunds in the event of failure or absence of any item, or for any public utility including television service. No refunds will be given due to early departure. This includes departures due to inclement weather. You are responsible for the entire booking once your reservation has been made. Reservation Transfer Policy & Fee: To shorten confirmed reservation dates, change dates or units, a $50 fee will be charged. Guest must notify us either in written or verbal form of the requested change and a new confirmation will be issued that must be signed and returned to us. No reservation dates may be shortened or units changed 30 days or less prior to the original arrival date. Check-In and Late Arrivals: Check-in begins at 4 pm. Our goal is to have all units available by 4 pm. Cleaning and maintenance is sometimes unavoidably delayed by seasonal traffic and/or inclement weather. If you arrive early to avoid traffic, you may have to wait. Late arrival should be avoided if possible. Large Groups & Receptions: Our homes are to be used for the QUIET enjoyment of our guests and NOT to be used for loud or wild parties. "Disturbing the Peace" may result in eviction and/or loss of security deposit. Please be aware that while we allow quiet receptions, the sleeping capacity of the home cannot be exceeded and the guest must dispose of excessive garbage in trash bins. No student groups or house parties are allowed. Check-Out and Departure, 11 AM: We are sorry you have to leave at all, however, we must insist on a 11 AM check-out time. Leave your unit "broom clean" and in the same order as your arrival except for linens. All dishes and cookware must be washed and put away, garbage sealed in plastic bags and placed in trash bins. BBQ grill to be left clean. A minimum fee of $50.00 will be charged if excessive cleaning is required. Leave lights, televisions and other appliances turned off. Leave heat set at 55 degrees or air conditioning at 85 degrees and fireplace screen or glass doors closed and secured. Leave all windows and doors closed and locked. Pile wet linen, towels, etc. on the shower floor or in the bathtub. Furnishings must be returned to their original positions. Housekeeping: All of our homes provide bed linens, 1 bath towel and wash cloth per person, and 2 hand towels per bathroom for the occupancy of the unit along with a STARTER supply of bar soap, dish soap (laundry soap is not provided) and paper goods. The house is cleaned, hot tub is drained, refilled and sanitized and beds (except sofa beds) are made prior to your arrival. This is a "Housekeeping Unit". Daily maid service is not provided and guests are expected to launder towels, etc. as needed during their stay. Each unit is inventoried after each use. Upon arrival report any apparent damage, housekeeping issues, shortage of furnishings or equipment immediately to me at 1-800-707-1412. Your silence indicates full acceptance of the unit and its condition. Only artificial holiday decorations are permitted and all evidence of any guest decorations must be properly disposed of upon departure. ITEMS PRESENT at the the cabin include: ample gas for the BBQ grill, blender,toaster,microwave, dishwasher, d/w powder, coffeemaker(you must bring your own coffee), basic silverware, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups,glasses, cooking pots and pans, can opener, and iron with ironing board. ITEMS TO BRING: clothes hangers, beach towel for hot tub, laundry detergent, food, salt and pepper, flashlight, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, shampoo, and camera. Trash Removal: All trash is removed by guest from each unit at the end of each reservation. Please do not allow outside containers to overflow due to problems from bears and other animals. If bins are full, tie bags up and leave inside the main exit door. Insects: Though all units are sprayed regularly by a professional pest control company, ladybugs, wasps and other insects sometimes affect rental units. Guests are expected to vacuum or dispose of small amounts of ladybugs, flies, wasps or bees. In the event of a major infestation, the office will call maintenance or pest control to attempt to solve the problem. No refunds are given for the presence of insects. Maintenance: Be sure to call our office with any maintenance issues, sometimes this is the only way we find out something needs attention. We do everything possible to keep all equipment in good working order. However, it is impossible to guarantee that all appliances, hot tubs, hot water heaters, etc. will be in working order 100% of the time. We do guarantee to correct all deficiencies as soon as possible during normal business hours. There will be no refunds or adjustments for malfunctions. Report all maintenance problems to the office, 1-800-707-1412. If it is after hours, be certain to leave your phone number and the nature of the problem with the answering machine. Non-emergency maintenance will be handled the next day. Management reserves the right to perform exterior and/or interior maintenance during your stay with or without notice to you, however, in the event maintenance must be performed we will do our best to do so without inconvenience to you. Hot Tubs – Spas – Pools: Hot tubs are drained, cleaned and refilled prior to ecac checkin, with this in mind, your hot tub may not be warm until later in the evening. It is important to note that there are certain health risks that are associated with the use of a hot tub, spa and/or swimming pool. It is the responsibility of the registered guest to inform anyone using these facilities during the term of the stay of the potential hazards. If you have any questions concerning the operation of the tub call the office during business hours. Children under the age of 16, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or skin sensitivities should not use the hot tubs. Hot tubs will be inspected after each rental. If any items such as food, alcohol, soaps or bath products, etc. are found in the hot tub, you will be charged an excessive cleaning fee of $150. Covers should remain on the hot tub at all times when not in use. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person. DO NOT STAND OR SIT ON HOT TUB COVERS, they will break. Damage to any cover will result in a $350 charge. Fireplaces: Our homes are equipped with a gas burning fireplace(s). Fireplaces may not be operational during the months of May through September. No foreign materials are to be burned in gas fireplaces. Pet Policy: No pets are allowed. There will be an additional cleaning fee of $150 if a pet has been in the unit. No Smoking Policy: No smoking is allowed within the cabins. There are outdoor decks provided on which smoking is allowed. Utilities: Please do not run heat or air conditioning with doors or windows open. Upon departure, set thermostat at 85 degrees in the summer months and 55 degrees in the winter months. Lost and Found: If you find you have left something behind, call our office 1-800-707-1412 and we will try to locate the missing item(s). If the item(s) is located the cost of locating, packaging, and shipping will be charged to you. Television, Security Cameras: Because our units are privately owned homes the method and level of TV service (cable, satellite, and antenna) is determined by the owners and by the service that is available in the area. Premium channels are typically NOT available. We assume no responsibility for TV reception or operation and cannot guarantee that specific channels will be available. We will be happy to assist you by phone to help you with TV related problems. However, if you insist that we travel to the unit to assist you and we find that the problem with the system is due to user error there will be a minimum $35.00 charge. If television or VCR wiring is changed to facilitate use of games etc. it must be returned to the same condition as when received. Outside security cameras may or may not be present at the cabin you are staying in. Weather: Weather changes quickly in the mountains. For an up to date weather forecast you can visit the web site, (www.weather.com). You should plan your trip according to the weather. In winter, though our weather is ordinarily fine, you should come prepared with extra food, 4-wheel drive if possible and/or chains. It is also advisable that you carry a bag of rock salt in your vehicle. Please be aware that we do not refund for bad weather, no shows, early check out and we cannot provide transportation of any kind! We do not guarantee any road surface conditions.
