This is a nice spacious condo, centrally located in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. It is within walking distance to everything the area. It does sit a bit close to the road. Beautiful sunsets at "A" Bay. The kitchen is dated, but well equiped. I was disappointed there were no beach chairs or a small cooler to take to the beach. I have rented other condos in the area and they have had these available.
Owner response:Aloha Cynthia, Thanks for the review - sorry you missed the beach stuff - we have chairs, a cooler, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. - they are in the lanai storage closet. If you visit again make sure to just ask and we'll make sure you find them. Mahalo, Bonnie & Steven

Two couples celebrated retirement at the Vista. Totally enjoyed our stay, especially the large deck in the morning and evening. Had coffee every morning listening to the birds, entranced with the view of the lovely hills. Highly recommend this for a family or two couples. The pool is wonderful and warm, the hot tubs are great. The walk to either the King or Queen's shops is short. Good prices on groceries are a short distance away at the Waikoloa Village Market. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs to make a gourmet dinner. We found the condo to be spotless, and the owners very helpful. Plan on returning.

We had a wonderful time at the Vista Waikola and enjoyed the condo and property very much. We found the kitchen to be fully equipped and very functional. Space abounds in the condo and was wonderful when entertaining family for supper who were staying elsewhere on the Island. The visitors parking at the complex is a very nice touch! We would recommend this condo to anyone wanting to have a relaxed vacation on the Island - shops nearby provided for our every need. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful condo, 7 min. walk to Hilton Waikoloa resort where I was attending a conference. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, swimming in the pool, and most of all a kitchen to cook our preferred food. Owners promptly replied to all questions and were great to work with. Property was as described and we will recommend.

In order to take full advantage of all of the activities that the Big Island offers, one needs a staging area, to relax, refresh, and fall back to. This property enabled our family to do it pleasantly and in comfort. The property is quite spacious, with more than enough room for a family of four. There are two large beds as well as a couch that (with a little furniture re-arrangement) can be made into a third bed. The lanai is larger than it first appears- the main bedroom also accesses it. Our family would frequently dine on the lanai and enjoy the warm evening air. The kitchen is also well-stocked: a more than large enough fridge/freezer combo and plenty of pantry space as well as a dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave ensure that all of your basic kitchen needs are met. There are two showers and a bathtub and the master bathroom is very spacious. The property is also nicely placed for some sightseeing- though Waikoloa as a location offers little in the way of activities (you can walk the Hawaiian road that goes through the resorts, check out the petroglyph fields, or hit some of the beaches, and that's about it) it's actually a very convenient location from which to see the rest of the island. Kona is not too far to the south, easily within driving distance for some shopping or sightseeing. We would recommend that you take the tour at the Mountain Thunder coffee plantation- the tour is informative and actually fairly entertaining. In addition, Pacific Rim Divers operates out of Honokohau Small Boat Harbor (north of Kona) and is a very nice dive service. To the north there's not as much to see although the drive inland is worth taking. Waimea is very fascinating, as well as home to a fantastic place to eat lunch, Village Burger. The saddle road is not as bad as many claim, and is a great way to get across the island. The volcanoes are always fascinating to see, and worth taking a day for. Continuing onward, however, will bring you to Hilo. We went to the Hilo farmer's market, which was worth the drive. I would recommend this property to a friend or a relative, or anyone who was interested in taking a trip to the Big Island. The property helped to make our stay enjoyable and enabled us to focus on our activities with the assurance of a comfortable and well-stocked place to return to.

I never give 5 stars so rent this unit with confidence. Private, great big L shaped lanai which is what you want in Hawaii and has everything you need for a great vacation. Owners live locally so are easily available if needed. No surprises here. The Vistas are the closest complex to the beach and shops so you don't need to hop in your car to do everything. Both golf courses are good,1 minute away and deals can be had on line. Enjoyed the Hilton, Sansei Sushi, Buzz's mai tai's and the Luana Lounge at Fairmont Orchid for sunset drinks and pupus(not cheap). Explore several nearby beaches, they are all good so find the one you like the best. Be sure to check out the Farmers Markets in the area including Waimea as well as the big one in Hilo on Saturdays. Worth the trip. We had a great time and I hope you will too.

We had a fantastic vacation in this apartment. It is situated in a very beautiful place and we enjoyed the marvelous view from the large balcony. The apartment was cleen, well kept and fully equipped with everything we needed. We can only give this condo our best recommandations. - The community was verry cleen, the beautiful pool as well. We would have stayed much longer in this gorgeous apartment. - It is a long way from Switzerland to Hawaii but it was absolutely worth to go there. We are talking of comimg again soon in "our" condo.

Finished a 2 week stay recently and had a most enjoyable time. The condo was as described and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the best beach at A-Bay and a short drive to other fine beaches. We quite enjoyed sitting on the lanai in the morning and having our fresh fruit and cereal and also the short walk to Starbucks for morning java. We did have an issue with a toilet however the landlord quickly had repairmen out and replaced both toilets. Nothing was lacking and our vacation was one to remember.

We spent 2 glorious weeks here in late November and early December and hated to leave. Comfortable beds, nice linens, well-equipped kitchen, beautifully decorated living room, beach toys and umbrellas, and spacious lanai (with excellent mountain views) make this a superb place to enjoy the Big Island. We especially appreciated the close proximity to the spectacular Anaeho'omalu Bay and Beach where snorkeling, swimming, and sunning are at their best and the sunsets through the palms are beyond belief. Walk-to golfing, dining, and shopping didn't hurt, either. We'll happily return and recommend it to all of our friends.

My spoue and I rented this unit for first time for two weeks in october 2010, just happened to overlap the Iron Man Competition. We did see some of it close by on the highway. The unit is very large, 2 bedroom condo with lovely large balcony with table and chairs for comfort and resting. Kitchen is small but convenient, with just about anything you would need to prepare a meal. There are two large washrooms with showers, and laundry facilities in the condo. Condo is well sound proofed due to concrete construction, and includes air conditioning. Well equipped and enjoyable. Easy access to the beaches, primarily by car. The unit is located in a village of condos with gated entry and has onsite office for help when needed. Grounds are immaculate. Good parking facility. Elevator or the stairs to access condo located on the third level. The complex has a BBQ area with free use of gas operated BBQs. There are also tables under a shelter for use here. We spent many hours in the outdoor pool which was well maintained and clean. Never too busy when we were there. Some shopping and restaurants are available close by within walking distance or by car. Well kept unit, safe area, and very quiet. You may see the elusive wild donkeys and goats if you are lucky. You'll love the farmers' market in Hilo for local produce. Owners reside in Hawaii and readily available by phone in unit. Highly recommend this unit to anyone who wishes to visit the Big Island of Hawaii.

This condo was perfect for us. My mom and I had plenty of room and everything we needed: a full kitchen with pots/pans/etc., beach towels and mats, a beach umbrella, flippers and other beach stuff, a TV/DVD player. We were within walking distance of one nice beach and within a short drive of two /fabulous/ beaches (Hapuna and Moana Kea -- wow). The porch does not have an ocean view, but is very pleasant nonetheless, and we spent many hours sitting out there. The owners were helpful and easy to interact with, the condo was clean and neat, and it felt quite safe. I will definitely recommend it to friends, and I hope to have a chance to return to it myself someday. One tip: Moana Kea beach (a few miles north on hwy 19) only allows 40 cars to park for beach access, so go first thing in the morning or they will turn you away.
Owner response:Thank you Katarina, We enjoyed having you as our guests. Aloha!

We just completed our second stay at this wonderful condo and hope to return again. It is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were impressed after our first stay, and subsequent remodeling has made it even more desirable. All of the rooms and the wrap-around lanai are large and comfortable. The Vista complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained and the pool area impressive. The Waikoloa Beach Resort area has the shops and restaurants needed to make it an upscale resort destination. There are numerous beaches within minutes of the condo that offer gorgeous scenery and excellent snorkeling. Everything that you need for a relaxing and adventurous Hawaiian vacation is available with this condo.

I loved staying in this condo. It was quiet, clean and cozy. I appreciate the little touches like organic towels and dish soap since this is something that's important to me but is hard to find on vacation. The beach was really close by as were some stores. The owners were super nice and helpful as well. Thank you!

We loved our visit to the Vista Waikoloa condo. The condo was very clean and well kept. I am picky about cleanliness this is important to me. Grocery store and restaurants close by. We shared the condo with my daughter and her husband. Bedrooms were both good size, so we both had ' our space'. Condo had a nice patio for morning coffee. Wish we were there now. Thank you for a great vacation.

Our stay at the Waikoloa Vista was simply awesome! The condo itself offered everything that you would want and way more than you need. Even all of the small details were taken care of for you. You could not ask for a better location to enjoy a wonderful Hawaiian get-a-way. The price vs the value of the condo and it's property is exceptional. I would and have highly recommended this to my friends and family. I will keep this condo on my "favorites list"!
