Special time and memories
Special time and memories
My husband loves to climb mountains and Longs Peak was calling his name, but for this trip we had two objectives in mind. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April and had never been to the Mountains. I wanted to take her with us and spend special time while he was hiking. We chose Pinehenge because it was on the river and there's something healing about the sound of running water. Pinehenge was like walking into a newly built home, everything was immaculately clean and well kept. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the river with all the wildlife. My mom was sitting on the porch one evening when a little boy caught his first fish in the Big Thompson, she was grinning from ear to ear as she told the story of his families excitement. She gets chilled easily so the fireplace in the main living area was great. Pinehinge is located conveniently to town and Rocky Mountain State Park so it was easy for us to journey out and explore all the wonderful things Estes Park had to offer. Donna was wonderful and helpful beyond the call of duty. My husband needed a pass to camp in the boulders and when he called the Park Service for a reservation he was told he needed to be there in person, there was only one spot open and since we live in Missouri and Donna was the only contact we had in Estes Park he called her for help and she graciously went and stood in line to reserve a camping spot for him. She also had excellent recommendations for dining and entertainment. Ask her about the best creme brulee in town. We loved Pinehinge and would highly recommend it.

Our stay in the pine henge was wonderful. It is very beautiful and quiet. It is close to so many recreational activities. We enjoyed going to Rocky Mountain national park, exploring downtown estes park, and just sitting on the porch listening to the river and watching the hummingbirds. Other wildlife that made their appearance were, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and best of all, a black bear. Our kids enjoyed playing around the river. We would definitely stay again. The beautiful decor in the home and the comfortable beds made this a very relaxing vacation!

We stayed here to celebrate our parents 80th birthdays and 62nd wedding anniversary. The BIg Thompson is yards from the porch and if you love the sounds and sights of the river close by, this is the right location. We spent hours on the porch just relaxing, visiting and drinking wine. The home itself is also great. The bedrooms are all upstairs but there is an downstairs bathroom. My parents love Estes and have stayed in various places throughout the years, but they loved Pinehenge. We hope to return.

Year Purchased: 2013
About: We are a family that just moved from San Antonio to Austin, Texas only a few weeks ago. We love the wonderful weather in Texas but spending part of the summer in Estes is a wonderful climate change.
Why Estes Park:
We are a family that fell in Love with Estes Park. After renting the same home in Blue Spruce Village for 8 years we had the opportunity to make our dream become a reality. We purchased both Unit #11 (VRBO#199878) and now unit #2.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of our favorite things to do (during the cool crisp mornings) is enjoy a great cup of coffee watching the river flow by while the kids feed the fish.
