My family of 6 stayed at this condo in June 2009. It was perfect for our needs. The beach club was so much better for us than the Paradisus resort, which we found crowded and noisy last time we were here. We picked this condo after receiving lots of good advice about planning our trip from our host, David who is the expert on tripadvisor for Playa Conchal. He also left us great details about the local restaurants, activities and tips on how to get the most out of our stay.

If you want to play golf and luxuriate in paradise, this is the spot for you. We enjoyed the new beach club immensely, as it kept us away from the noise of the resort pool. The food there is better than the resort too. Last year we had access to the resort, but the beach club is a better alternative. The condo we had added to the calm, serene nature of our visit. The minimalist, Asian influenced theme makes for a cool retreat from the heat of the day after golf or poolside fun. It had everything we needed, and a great list of outside restaurants and activities. (Go to Dragonfly in Tamarindo!) We contacted the owner directly and he was so helpful. David answered all our questions promptly. The final booking was through the management company, and that went smooth too. All in all it was a great time and we are definitely putting it into rotation for our future vacations.
Owner response:Some people are just so nice to deal with. Thanks. When I bought this condo, I never realized that the best part would be making so many people happy.

My family stayed at this beautiful condo from August 5-12, 2006. We had a wonderful time. The resort is fabulous! The shuttle to the resort is very convenient and the condo pool area and condo facilities are also great. This condo is very roomy and has so much to offer. We would love to return again. Try the zipline adventure the hotel offers off site. It was great!!

7/13/06-7/20/06 My family and I just got back from Costa Rica and found the country and the resort to be like paradise!!! We stayed in the condo and it was a great decision-very comfortable beautiful views of the golf course and ocean. They were clean well supplied with everything you would need-plenty of room for a family of 5-6. I highly recommend the condo and resort if you are looking for the ultimate in a family vacation. The resort had plenty for the family.

One beautiful resort. Feels like your at a Four Seasons on any Hawaii island. The local food was wonderful and the freshest fish I have ever had at a very reasonable price. My Cigular cell phone worked and they every had free internet access. Try the spa at the hotel. Some of the best massages I have ever had. The golf course was spectacular especially when you eagle the first hole even with a mulligan. Just watch out for the howling monkeys during your back swing.

Our family of five had the best time ever at this beautifully decorated, very comfortable condo with stunning views of the Pacific. It even came with a great range of DVD's for late night viewing. Tons to do from hanging out at at the gorgeous pool, jumping the giant waves at the perfect beach or getting your scuba license as my husband and 16 year old son did. David, the concierge at the condo, is the nicest, most helpful person — arranging whatever excursions you want when you want them. We liked being able to walk along the beach (or along the road) to Brasalito, the nearest town, for groceries, restaurants and shops. You can easily call for cabs from the hotel too. The place is beautiful, everything is easy, the people are the nicest and the weather is perfect. Truly paradise!

Thanks, your condo contributed to a great vacation! We particularly liked the decor, which was far better than your average vacation rental. We decided to do a bunch of tours independently, using our rented Toyota RAV4 and our sense of adventure. For example, we saved a bundle by driving up to Buena Vista Hot Springs and Palo Verde National Park and dealing directly. Having said that, these drives are not for the faint of heart as the roads are very rough and signposts are somewhat elusive! We were also helped by the fact that my wife and I both speak fluent Spanish, which really helps with directions and negotiations!

We enjoyed renting your condo 7/19/05 - 7/28/05. We observed skunks, coatis, raccoons and heard birds & Howler monkeys. We dined at all the restaurants in Brasilito. Bought groceries at the super Lopez. Went sportfishing at Catalina Is.( Got motion sick though). Spend 2 days traveling around Arenal. The kids spent their time consuming frozen drinks at poolside. My wife and I attempted to leave the condo in the same fine condition that we received. Your a/c units were the best. We will tell our friends about your excellent rental unit. Thanks for your prompt responses to my email questions.

Just wanted to drop you a note to say that we had a wonderful time in Costa Rica. The condo was terrific and the information you emailed us was extremely helpful. The Happy Snapper was our favorite restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the Buena Vista tour. The kids loved the canopy ride. It just never seems like you have enough time to do everything you want to. We left the condo stocked for your next guests. Thanks again.

We had our best family vacation ever at Paradisus Playa Conchal. The condo was beautiful and wonderfully spacious for our family of five. The resort was fabulous and uncrowded (in April). We loved the swim up bar - pina coladas all day and dance lessons at the pool at 5:00. My husband played golf every day, great course, no waiting, no tee time issues. The beach is beautiful the kids and I went snokeling and took out sea kayaks (included). We loved the ATV tour along the beaches and up into the cliffs- but you get very dirty!! wear an old tee shirt. We also loved the Mega Tour. This included the canopy tour at Buena Vista- very exciting- the kids 12 and 11 did it alone, my 7 year old used a "Taxi" which is a guide who goes with you. Then the water slide, horseback riding ( the 7 year old rode his own horse) a hike up Rincon de la Vieja dormant volcano to the volcanic mud baths and thermal pools. The sunset cruise and monkey park trips included by the resort are worth doing too. Our favorite trip though was the Palo Verde Rainforest boat trip. We booked this through a local guide on the beach, William, because it is cheaper( check prices, everywhere is different) and you have the whole boat to yourselves. Once on the river we saw herons, macaws, a toucan, long nose bats, iguanas, howler monkeys, and best of all-William brought bananas an held them out close to the trees on the riverbank and all of a sudden all these white faces begin to pop out of the jungle. William had the kids go on the bow of the boat and the whiteface monkeys would actually come down the branches and take the banana right out of your hand! William did tell us though that they only will do this in dry season. Once it begins to rain they won't come all the way out to the riverbank because they can get water inland. Teh he took us to lunch at his family's restaurant in Santa Ana(?) where we had a private table under a thatched roof and excellent food!! If you stay at the condos consider renting a car. its expensive but far more convenient than waiting for the shuttle. oh, don't miss the shows at night. They have professional dancers who are fabulous!!! Bring a Visa card. The banks don't accept any other credit card if you need cash and our atm cards wouldn't work either! Same goes for the departure tax ($26?) at the airport. Pura Vida, Costa Rica!!
