Let me start by saying that my husband was not too thrilled about my idea of staying in the condo, initially he preferred the hotel. I was afraid the kids, ages 12 & 13 would be bored, that was definitely NOT the case. We ALL loved it here!!! I guess we ALL just needed some peace, tranquility and lots of rest. That's exactly what we got. We stayed here Easter week. I cannot believe we practically had the pools to ourselves!!! I was able to watch the kids while they were at the pool from the balcony. It was a PLUS having a parking spot and being able to walk to the hotel on some nights was nice. The hotel has an arcade for the kids and casino for grown ups if you're into that. What I miss the most is waking up early and having my coffee beachfront on the balcony. Euniz describes the condo perfectly. She's a sweetheart, very professional and easy to talk to. Thank You & remember....We're Coming Back.

The unit was just right for our family: relaxing with about everything we needed. Euniz worked tirelessly for us during a power outage. Hubby got up every morning and took a dip in the ocean. We could walk to the hustle bustle of the resort, then come back to our own beach. Could not have asked for better!

My husband and I have a new place that we must go back to! The ocean view was just beautiful and I don't think we could have gotten our feet any closer to the sand.The property is really the best of both worlds. You have all the amenities of a resort but if you feel like cooking yourself the condo is perfect.The beach is so peaceful.Euniz is the property manager and was extremely helpful.My husband had a problem getting internet access and in less then 5 minutes(no kidding) Euniz had someone at our door to help.This is the first time we ever rented with vbo and we will defiantly go back. My brother and his family have already made reservations to go this April.Just beautiful!

This is definitely one of the best condos I've ever rented through VRBO. The host Euniz was great and very accommodating in making sure that my stay was pleasant and peaceful. The condo itself is only a few yards away from the beach and you can easily open up all the windows to hear the ocean and feel the breeze coming through. The condo was just as described and was very clean. The unit and that I was able to rent had a great view of the ocean,a great patio and was furnished nicely. Cable TV, Internet access, washer and dryer. it was extremely conveincent location with great access to a lot of Rio Mar and the surrounding areas. If your vacation or travel plans have you staying anywhere near Rio Mar, you should definitely give Euniz a call to see what she might have available because it doesn't get much better than this!

Family friendly and just a must do over and over again. Our stay here was just wonderful. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The amenities include 2 pools, jacuzzi, clean private beach access just seconds away and the apartment had cable on 2 flat screen TV's, a full kitchen including stove, oven, blender, toaster, George Foreman grill, microwave, full size fridge, plates, pots, cutlery, and complete laundry (washer and dryer). The master bedroom was very comfortable as well as the sofabed in the living room. The natural decor of shells and starfish throughout the apartment are amenable and pretty. What more can we say, our family needed a getaway and this is exactly what we got. The atmosphere is peaceful and so relaxing. They also have a grill you can rent if you want to do a barbecue in the pool patio. Euniz the person who manages this property was very attentive and professional and we look forward to another stay at this wonderful Villa. The location is excellent also because it is close to El Yunque National Forest and several other tourist attractions. To sum it all up - try it you'll love it. I'd recommend this place to anyone who can appreciate the majestic beauty of the gorgeous beach and all the comfort and relaxation you could ever want.

This is the perfect place to stay. Right on the beach and great for all ages. Walk to the beach is 60 seconds away (yup, that close). The beach is endless, clean, and safe. The property is great for walks and roaming around. Pick form 10 condos when you call. Withing about 3 miles you can drive to the rain forest (across hwy 3), grocery stores, or the Kiosk local restaurants where you can buy coconuts for about $1.50 each (ask for Julian at Kiosk # 57). We had a wonderful stay in February and highly recommend it for any time of the year. Thanks Euniz for making our stay worry free.

Basically, what you see and read is what you get. No gimmicks. This is an excellent and well maintained property, in an exclusive area, besides the Río Mar Hotel, with beautiful views of the ocean and all the ammenities of a hotel. The two-bedroom apartment whe stayed was very comfortable, clean, with great air conditioners, cable tv and complete kitchen. Just bring your personal stuff....and maybe, an MP3 player. Again, just bring your personal stuff!!! The location is also great because it's minutes away from El Yunque Rain Forest, Fajardo's bioluminiscence bay, the ferries to Vieques and Culebra Islands, and close to restaurants, shopping centers and other tourist attractions. The apartment manager, Euniz, was very helpful, friendly, honest and willing to solve or respond to any issues or questions. My wife and I are somewhat esceptic with this kind of rental, but we think you can trust this people with any of the properties they have or manage. We're planning to go again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Beachfront Apartment

We just returned from a blissful week at this ocean front villa near the Wyndham in Rio Grande. We are a family of 5 ( two adults and three children ages 15, 12, and 8). This one bedroom apartment met ou needs perfectly and Euniz was a perfect host. We live in Europe, and our kids were in heaven with access to television, wifi, PS2. We slept to the sounds of the waves crashing outside the window and it was the best sleep we have gotten in months. The location was perfect with easy access to Yunque National Forest for walking, Luquillo for great dining, and of course the beautiful and quiet Rio Grande beach. Euniz was very quick to respond to every communication and all requests. She consistently demonstrated great care in our satisfaction and communicated with honest and integrity. I highly recommend both the location, the apartment and the rental management.

Just returned from a week in this unit. Very nicely furnished, 2 flat screens, wifi, with a terrific ocean view. Pull out couch in living room but never used it. Pools, hot tub are usually empty and very well-maintained. Beautiful landscaping. Never crowded on the beach, walk to the Wyndham Rio Mar in 3 minutes max. Nice having a fully equipped kitchen, meals are expensive at Wyndham. Rent a car, well worth it as shopping is close. We locked ourselves out of the unit and Euniz came to our rescue interrupting her evening and getting us into our unit at 9:00 PM on New Year's Eve, turning a potential disaster into no problem at all. She could not have handled it any better. Rent this with confidence. You will love it.

My wife and two sons (4 YO and 6 MO) stayed at this rental unit over Thanksgiving holiday. Euniz couldnt have been easier to work with. She was ultra accomodating, even taking time away from her family on Thanksgiving to come and meet me and let me in the condo. Euniz was able to secure everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, including purchasing groceries for us and renting a pack-and-play for our baby boy. This unit is spectactular and has all the trappings one woud expect stateside including full cable, flat screen TVs, Bose surround sound and dont forget the breathtaking view from the 5th floor balcony of the Atlantic Ocean lapping up some 100 yards away. Overall, I would come back here in a heartbeat, the accomodations are first class and far better than staying in the hotel (note: my wife and I stayed at the hotel 5 years ago). With this unit you have the ability to save money, stay in nicer accomodations, have the freedom to come and go via a rental car, or go over to the hotel property and use their facilities. This is truly a first class rental unit and we cannot wait to come back and spend time here with our family. Euniz takes it over the top!

Our stay at Wyndham’s Ocean Villas in Rio Grande, PR was well worth the trip. The breathtaking view of the ocean when the door of the villa first opened was priceless. We absolutely loved Euniz and truly appreciated all she did, from the beginning to the end! She was very responsive to all of our concerns and/or questions and never failed to respond in a timely manner. She also provided us with an outline of information on things to do and see which does come in handy. Having the ocean within a few feet of your balcony and El Yunque just a few miles from your doorstep, says you’re in a pretty good position of mere relaxation. The villa allowed us to enjoy the conveniences of home (including your own parking space right across from the villa), in addition to having access to the amenities at Wyndham’s hotel was definitely a plus. We chose this villa mainly due to it being a gated ocean-front community with great reviews, which did not leave us disappointed in any form. No problems with safety whatsoever and we felt very good about our surroundings whenever we ended the night coming back to a very relaxing atmosphere. The villa itself was very clean and came as advertised. Its location gave us plenty of local restaurant choices to sample their island cuisine, along with a few fast food chains thrown in for good measure. Truly, we would stay again and again without a doubt!

This ocean front villa is like a dream come true! The ocean view is beautiful, day and night and the sound of the waves, oh my God!!!! So relaxing. we stayed here for 6 days and had a wonderful time. Euniz was very helpful and nice. We travelled all over PR, staying at 5 different locations and this was our favorite. Close to all the tourist attractions, gated community for safety, great view of the ocean, private pool or you can use the pool and facilites at the resort if you want. Love the local Iguanas and giant crabs running around too! Bed was comfortable, place was clean and nice with everything you need, would stay again in a heartbeat, thanks again Euniz! We just returned from our stay at the villa (May 24-29). I cannot express how happy we were to have chosen this villa. The location is ideal and the views are spectacular. It is right on the beach and the pictures are true to form. Our boys (3 and 5) played in the pool and at the beach all day. The pool, with a zero entry, is perfect for kids. The grounds were never busy and the reserved parking space so close was perfect. Euniz was very responsive and met us at the villa upon our arrival. I will be sure to recommend this villa to all of our friends. Stay here if you can!

We had a great week at the ocean villa. The villa was perfect for my family (me & my husband & two boys 3 & 7). The pictures are accurate and don't even do it justice! It was clean and well stocked with basics (dishes, pots and pans and even a cooler to take to the beach). Euniz was very helpful both before we arrived (via email answering my questions) and after. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, the pull out couch in the living room worked well for our boys to share. There is a washer & dryer which made packing light super easy! The view from the balcony is amazing -- you really feel like the ocean is all yours. We shopped at the nearby grocery and cooked most of our meals in. Lazy days at the beach and pool were perfect and the boys loved the iguana feeding at the main hotel (11am most days). We did an easy day trip to el yunque one day and a trip to the bio bay with captain charlie which was great! but the rest of our trip was spent in the warm ocean and lazing by the pool -- a perfect relaxing time. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed here in late February and used the condo as a great base to check out all of Puerto Rico. We wanted a safe area, away from the bustle of San Juan and definitely found it! The manager is very responsive to all requests and happy to help make your stay wonderful. We also liked the fact that we had the option to stay in and cook or head over to the hotel for an excellent meal and a little gambling within walking distance. I recommend getting reservations for any hotel dining. We also loved the recommendations for eating off the resort - Don Pepe's Chicken Mofongo was my favorite! We spent most of our time at the beach and chairs were always available. My best advice is rent a car, avoid high traffic times, and give yourself at least 2 hours to get to the airport before your flight out. Definitely recommend the Bio Bay kayaking.

Perfection! This place is better than the photos show. Euniz will help you find a place even if this unit is booked. Everything was amazing and reminded us of our stay at Turtle Bay in Hawaii. The privacy is unbeatable. We enjoyed occassionally sitting by the 2 beautiful and clean pools right outside the rooms and relaxed on the nearly private beach. The water was amazing and the breeze delicious. We rented a car so we did shop and cook in our kitchen. Breakfast on the balcony, lunch on the beach and dinner out. Turn right outside the property gate and follow the road up to a restuarant with a fabulous view overlooking the ocean. Very romantic setting with outdoor tables and live music and also family friendly. For night life, a short moonlit walk to the hotel is magical and fun during the day as well. We love that Puerto Rico has familiar American brands and fast food and most speak English. We enjoyed 4 wheeling in the rain forrest, hiking the El Yunke water falls, and kayaking the bioluminescent bay. We can't wait to bring our children here. The water pressure in our shower was not so great, but otherwise all was in order and Euniz was extremely kind and helpful. An unforgettable place!

My family of four, which includes two teenagers, really enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Villas. We stayed in a one bedroom villa, which included all the amenities that you could want. The property was clean and well maintained. The view of the ocean and pools were magnificent and we really enjoyed having breakfast and happy hour on the terrace. The unit was conveniently located next to the hotel. Initially, I thought we would spend more time at the hotel but since it was a school break week it was overcrowded there. Even the teenagers enjoyed having our own private beach, two pools and hot tub! Euniz was extremely helpful in finding us another unit when the initial one we were interested in was not available, and she quickly answered my texts whenever I had a question. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent and we really enjoyed the snorkeling/catamaran trip that she suggested. Having El Yunque rainforest right up the block was a great hiking actvity for the family. I would highly recommend booking a vacation at the Ocean Villas in Rio Mar!

What a fantastic beachfront condo

We were there from Feb 16-21. Perfect weather, perfect place to stay. The pictures about this place on this website are true to form. We ate breakfast every morning on the balcony with a perfect view of the water and listening to the waves. We were in the closest building to the Wyndham. Euniz arranged to meet us as we pulled in. She was totally delightful and very helpful. She gave us her cell to text her with questions. We did that and she answered immediately. She was terrific. Also, when we checked out, she was there in less than five minutes and the process was a breeze due to her. Condo was comfortable and very clean. It was great having a washer and dryer in the condo so we didn't have to take as many clothes. They had lots of towels, blankets, pillows etc which was great. Parking is right across the street. The condo is on the third of five floors so the view is great. This is a good place for couples and there were lots of families there also. The condo complex has two pools. The lap pool always was quiet and very few people were using it. The infinity pool was more popular, especially with families. The only thing we noticed is that the families used the hot tub as a gathering spot to put kids in to play, rather than using it as a hot tub. It is very convenient to good restaurants. We loved the La Parilla in the Luquillo kiosks. Don Pepe's food was great but service was agonizingly slow. We thoroughly enjoyed Lolitia's, which is a Mexican restaurant about ten minutes east of Luquillo on route 3. We had a very enjoyable cuban sandwhich at Isamar bakery which is just off route 3 as you enter the Rio del Mar area. There is a Walgreens, KFC, supermarket, Taco Maker (we liked it) and a pizza place at the third light as you take a left out of the complex on route 3. The Wyndham was nice. The pools were crowded. There were two pools there also. An adult pool where we didn't see too many people in the water and the regular pool with slides. This was more of a family pool. They do have a poolside grill which is right on the ocean with great views. The casino was simple but fun. We highly recommend this condo. Rafael is a great host and makes the reservation simple and answers everything you want very quickly. So thanks Rafael and Euniz for making our vacation so terrific.We will definitely be back.

I had done quite a bit of online research before deciding on renting at the Ocean Villas, so I was apprehensive on our arrival as I wanted this to be a great week for my wife and I. First, I want to emphasize that everything about this property is exactly as advertised. In fact, it may have been undersold somewhat. The unit was very clean and comfortable, but the views from the patio deck were amazing. The unit has a good level of privacy which was welcome, but was also very convenient to everything we wanted to do; with the lone exception of San Juan itself, but even that was not a major problem. Having the amenities of the Wyndham Rio Mar adjacent was nice, but the pools and beach access were frankly better right where we were. You could literally walk the beach for hours in either direction, and the views were amazing. El Yunque Rainforest is less than a 15 minute drive due south from the condo and Fajardo was only about 20 minutes further east for the sailing/snorkeling tour, etc. There are several good restaurants nearby, but in particular I would hightly recommend La Parilla, which is Kiosk #2 at the Luquillo kiosks. The food was incredible and the views of the water from the backside of the restaurant were great as well. One other thing, when we first arrived we had a couple of minor glitches with equipment, etc. Euniz was very quick to respond and was not happy until things were to our satisfaction, and she was very pleasant to deal with. In short, we had a wonderful week that made it difficult to return home to winter. We will highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to have a wonderful, relaxing time on a wonderful beach in your backyard and beautiful scenery in every direction. We have been to Hawaii three times, and it was wonderful, but it has nothing on this place in our view.

My family and I stayed at the Rio Mar Ocean Villa condos over the 2011 Holidays. Euniz was fantastic- she met us on Christmas Day and went out of her way to make sure we had a great vacation. The condo complex is right on the beach and we had a spectacular ocean view. The property grounds are meticulously maintained. There are two pools- an infinity pool and a 25 yard lap pool- and both are well maintained. The room was fine for a family of 4 with a roll-a-way. The unit is showing some signs of age, but it was very clean and you can't beat the view and amenities. The beach was beautiful- very clean and not crowded. The condos were quiet and very safe. You have access to the Rio Mar hotel, but everything we needed was right in the condo complex. Again- I can't say enough about Euniz- she is wonderful and very responsible. Thanks for a great vacation.

Located on such beautiful grounds; two swimming pools and a hot tub. The ocean view and sounds of the surf and coquis made this apartment very tranquil and relaxing. A vacation dream. Eunice was here to greet us and explain the details. All was very clean, well furnished and ready for our stay. The hotel next door provided great dining. A walk on the beach at night was romantic. Everything here was better than the pictures showed. This was more than we expected and we will plan on staying here again on our next trip.

Our family of two adults and two young boys spent almost two weeks at Rafael's villa. Description of the villa was very accurate.We were met by a young woman who let us in and showed us around.She was very helpful. The view from balcony was more beautiful then the pictures show.We spent each morning and evening having breakfasts and dinners on the balcony,looking at the coconut palms and the Ocean.In the evening,we heard coquis-little frogs,which we terribly miss now. The property was pretty well maintained. We didn't spent much time inside,since it was so beautiful outside.The washer/dryer were very convinient to have.No need to pack a lot.Our boys loved the beach which is very child-friendly. Water was very warm and shallow for them to play. Swimming pools were awsome.Also very clean and well maintained.Like others wrote before-there wern't many people around.Maybe two other families at a time ! How great is that ! We went to the main hotel one day and the swimming pools were packed. Standing room only. Our boys didn't want to stay there for a moment and so we came back to 'our' area. Besides that,we went to El Jungue,twice,visited old San Juan,Bacardi distillery.We had booked a catamaran ride but had to cancel it,because of the predictions of bad weather. During our whole stay we had only one rainy day. There were quick afternoon showers,but they lasted for few minutes only-hardly noticebale. Our sons were very entertained by a friendly iguana by the pool.As to food,we loved fried empanadas from kioskos near Luquillo.Overall,we had a great stay! Thank you,Rafael! We're sure hope to come back some day. We definately recommend your beautiful villa!

We stayed at Rafael's villa for about 10 days and it was perfect for us. There was a cot for our 1 year old and our 3 year old slept on the pull-out sofa. All the decor is nice and you fell at home almost immediately. There is plenty of room in the villa and the views are spectacular. It is an amazing experience to wake up to watch the sunrise as you overlook the manicured gardens towards the surf, sand and sea. For us, the wireless internet was very useful. There is a pool right next to the room that I used a couple of times in the mornings but you also have use of the resort pools and the other complex pools as well. The resort pools are great - we made use of the water slide a lot :) There is also a iguana feeding session each day (at the resort) at 11am - our kids absolutely loved it and we did that each time we had the opportunity. There is a casino in the resort - we didn't use it but it is available. The (in)famous shacks on Lequillo beach are only 10 minutes away and the best place to eat in the area - very well priced too. We made multiple trips up to the rainforest which is only about 10 minutes away. There is also a shopping strip with Walgreens, Amigo (food) and a few fast food outlets about 5-10 minutes away from the villa. We made extensive use of those - you can get a bunch of different sea and kids toys at the Walgreens. Essentially - the villa is the perfect hub from which you can operate from. If you want to lounge around - then you are in a fantastic location and the resort is well kept. The location is also great for access many of the touristy things - such as Ponce, the rainforest, the bioluminescent bay, culebra (beach), Old San Juan and even the Caves and Aricebo (although I would recommend leaving early and avoiding 22,near the airport, if you can). You won't be dissappointed staying here. Rafael is extremely accomodating and as helpful as he can be.

What a beautiful place to stay! I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the condo. The pictures online do not do it justice. The view from the balcony was spectacular and how nice it was to have coffee there and watch the sunrise. The pools were great, the kids loved them. It was so nice to be able to walk such a short distance to both pool and beach. The owner, Norman, was also wonderful to deal with answering all our questions promptly. How nice to be greeted at the airport to make sure we arrived at the condo safely. I was weary of renting online. We almost rented another villa to an owner who claimed her property was walking distance to the beach. We saw that condo and it was a very long walk to the beach and not one that could be done with little kids. Norman was honest with his description of his property, maybe even a little modest. It truly was one of the nicest places my family ever stayed and I would highly recommend it!

Just returned from a great trip with my family to the Ocean Villas at the Westin in Rio Mar. This oceanfront condo was beautifully appointed (from granite countertops to DVD players) and well located. Great ocean views! We would stay here again! Easy access to all of the Westin hotel facilities and the beautiful beach made this vacation a real pleasure! Thanks Norman for your professionalism and for sharing your vacation villa with us. It was a memorable escape!

My wife, son, mother-in-law and I stayed comfortably in the villa. The accomodations were clean and the location was convenient, as we were attending a wedding at the Westin next door. The property has a great ocean view, as well as a pool, though we went to the hotel pool, which had a slide. Norman took credit card for payment which made the transaction very easy. I would definitely stay here again.
