Had a quick three-day stay in the area to ski with my wife and son. Casa is conveniently located between Taos ski slopes and downtown Taos. Spectacular views of the mountains from the enclosed backyard and hot tub. Comfortably decorated. Very welcoming owners.

This was our second Thanksgiving week-end, in two years, at Casa de Luz. The house is beautiful and exactly as represented in the ad. It is spotlessly clean and well cared with high quality furnishings, bedding and art. It is in a great location, about a 10 minute drive from the Taos plaza, in a peaceful and serence setting. We have been using VRBO for several years and have found some properties to be not even close to what was advertised. I realize that you pay your money and take your chances but with Casa de Luz you can't go wrong. Sharon is a delight to work with and very accomodating. The house is dog friendly but even if you don't have canine pals, you'll be happy here. Yes, I highly recommend Casa de Luz and no, Sharon is not one of my relatives!

This is a perfect place with a super owner. We had rented another place which we discovered, upon our arrival in Taos, was not at all suitable. We submitted a late afternoon inquiry about this property for lodging the same night. The owner promptly responded to our inquiry and arranged for the caretaker to get the property ready for us in just a few hours. She called back the next day to make sure everything was okay. The place is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is lovely and very private. The stereo system is great and is set up to operate through an iPod. The kitchen is well appoined. All of the bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. The bedrooms are separated by a courtyard to provide privacy to the parties in each room. The place is sunny and private but at the same time a very short drive to groceries and restaurants. We loved soaking in the hot tub, driving the enchanted circle, hiking the gorge trail, and eating breakfast burritos at the Taos Diner. We recommend Casa De Luz without reservation.

If you're looking for serenity, privacy, quiet, and a gorgeous rural setting not far from Taos, New Mexico, Casa de Luz is the house you've been looking for. The home is beautifully maintained, clean, comfortable, and has every amenity. A few miles away, explore the town of Taos with its many galleries, cafes, and shops. Enjoy the majestic scenic loop drive through the moutains and nearby national forests. Don't miss the Taos Pueblo. My husband, daughter and I visited in July and Casa de Luz was a wonderful place to stay. It was close enough to Taos but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of teh surrounding mountains. The house is lovely and quite spacious. Sharon was the perfect hostess - leaving a bottle of wine, crackers and cheese for us. The hot tub was great in the evening. We'll definitely want to return.

This property is perfect if you want to be close-in to Taos, yet maintain privacy. It has gorgeous mountain views and the starzzz at night are unbelieveable! We've never seen so many - it was almost magical. The owner was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. We decided on a very last minute anniversary trip and wanted privacy and a hot tub. We got that and more! Numerous books, games, spices, coffee, popcorn, wine, cheese, dark chocolates in almost every room. Night lights in the bathrooms (especially helpful the first night in a strange place), kleenix, large size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The house is flooded with natural light - no need for additional lighting, except at night. Oh, and candles too! Our visit was too early in the year to see the perennials in bloom. :( But there were 2 beautiful red flower baskets hanging near the hot tub. I could go on and on, but you really need to see this property for yourself. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. Just pack your clothes and food if you feel like cooking in. We had a marvelous breakfast at Michael's. We golfed one day, hiked up to Williams Lake another (but had to turn around due to the snow). There are many more activities in the area - we could have spent a month in this location, but things like work interfer. We hope to visit again real soon. Oh, one last item to mention, this home would be perfect for two couples as both bedrooms/baths are on opposite sides of the house to ensure complete privacy. Thanks SO much Sharon and Alfred for thinking of every little detail. You made our 34th anniversary trip very special. :)

This was our second winter visit to Casa De Luz. Both Sharon and Alfred are very accomodating and available to answer questions and provide suggestions about activities and sights throughout the area. We love the comfy home and there is a spacious kitchen fully equipped for all of our cooking. The hottub is relaxing after snowshoe or ski tours. Casa De Luz is perfectly situated to reach Taos ski valley or many trails for other activities. We will hopefully return next year.

We have used VRBO for a few years and are generally happy with the results, but this time, we were thrilled! Casa De Luz is everything it says it is and more! The place is easily accessible to skiing, has everything you need for a great weekend and is darn cute, to boot! We skied for 3 days and the hot tub was a joy to come 'home' to. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with and we had an absolutely wonderful time! We would return in a heartbeat! Thanks so much for the terrific time!

What’s not to love! We love this place. Such an easy, relaxing stay! Accommodations were way more than we expected. The hot tub was a nice perk. Thanks for everything. We'd love to come back this winter for a ski vacation. We'll be in touch.
