I stayed here in August with my sisters. It was a beautiful and well-appointed home where each of us could find our own space. The most appealing part for us was the deck overlooking the woods where we could catch the cool summer breezes. The house was easy to find and close to all the amenities that Wintergreen offers. I would definitely recommend it!

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We brought a group of 10 adults and the house was very comfortable and easily accommodated all of us. It was in great repair, and I can attest to the very well stocked kitchen that many of the other reviewers have stated. We cooked a huge meal (took over 7 hours to complete) and we never had an issue with utensils or containers. Everyone told me that I did a great job picking the place, which made me feel great! if we decide to go to Wintergreen again next year, I'll definitely look to book this home again!

Great Place for a Holiday

This is a great property for a family holiday (for us it was Thanksgiving). It easily accommodates 8-10 adults and children on multiple floors. The property is in good repair, comfortable and nicely furnished and with an unusually well supplied kitchen. The views, the hot tub, wireless internet, large flat screen TV and the free access to the fitness club are all major pluses. The only problem we encountered was a shortage of hot water, either because the (55 gallon) water heater was not functioning properly or because it iss too small for a house of this size. We would definitely consider renting the house again.

Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first mountain vacation with our sons and their girlfriends and it was absolutely wonderful ! The house could not have been more perfect. It was so roomy and the views from the hot tub -- awesome ! We would definently return to Wintergreen and stay at this property again.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway

This was a perfect place to go away with friends for a long weekend. The house was in great shape, clean and ready for us -- a path had even been cleared in the snow to the hot tub on the deck. We used the kitchen extensively and the bbq on the deck worked great. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which added a nice level of privacy for a big group of people, but the main common room was a great place to get everyone together for a roaring fire in the fireplace, puzzles, or watching the football playoffs. We had a problem with the water when we arrived, but after a call to the handyman, who was very responsive, we learned it was a county water main problem that was resolved by the morning. We didn't try the free shuttle, preferring to drive to the main lodge for skiing, but we saw it running a few times. The only drawbacks I can think of are the many steps getting in and around the house and the fact that it's on a steep part of the hill -- but even that adds to the view. Definitely recommend!

The house is perfect. Very comfortable, immaculate, spacious..all creature comforts thought of from great hot tub to plenty of firewood. You simply could not find a nicer place to stay.

Hi, Just want to say that in the 9 years we have been renting houses for our annual reunions, we have never been so pleased. The kitchen was well equipped, the house was beautifully decorated and immaculate, there was great space to play cards and the weather you provided was the icing on the cake. We have been choosing different locations for our bridge fests every year but we all agreed that this is a place to which we would love to return. We had a blast in Wintergreen - and have over 350 pictures to prove it! Your home is just wonderful - the layout, decorations, hot tub, location -- even the basket of info was great. We golfed, hiked, mt biked, bungee trampoline, SPA, swam, and ate very well! thanks again for letting us get in early and stay late - it felt like 2 weeks instead of 2 days!!

This property was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. The interior was beautiful and well appointed. 3 separate living areas gave everyone the space they needed. Everything was well thought out and we wanted for nothing. The hot tub and grill were the icing on the cake! We can't wait to come back to this property again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Carolina Escape. The home is beautiful and comfortable and easily accommodates several families. They have done a lovely job of decorating and have thought of every little comfort to make the stay more enjoyable. Moreover, the owners were very pleasant to deal with. And finally, the Wintergreen staff bent over backwards to make sure that our stay was wonderful. My only complaint - the trip was too short! I'm already trying to figure out when we can return.

This is a wonderful, wonderful home -- if you are going to Wintergreen, you will definitely want to stay here. We've been many times, and this was the nicest home we have ever rented. The accomodations are VERY spacious -- very comfortable for 10 people -- and in excellent condition. The location is PERFECT -- close to skiing, tennis, the outdoor center, and the spa. The view is WONDERFUL. The owners have been generous and thougtful in outfitting the house -- from a deluxe grill, to a large hot tub, to extra towels, pillows, and bedding -- everything you need is here. We loved our week at this house, and will be back again soon!
