Nestled in the hills overlooking the world-renowned natural harbor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, Villa La Ginesta is the perfect romantic launching point for your exploration of the Cote d'Azur and Southeast France.
This remarkable, two bedroom, one and a half bathroom condominium encompasses the top floor of the Villa, offering outstanding panoramic views of the harbor, St Jean Cap Ferrat, and the Mediterranean. Enjoy the views from the south-facing windows or take your leisure on either of the two balconies overlooking the village and harbor.
From the ultra-sleek, fully-equipped Italian kitchen to the up-to-date bathrooms and modern double-paned windows, the air-conditioned Villa La Ginesta is a comfortable and civilized home base for your holiday in the South of France or Northern Italy.
The Villa’s two quiet and comfortable bedrooms provide private sleeping accommodations for four adults.
La Ginesta is well-stocked with towels, linens, standard kitchen utensils, cutlery and accessories, as well as a hair dryer, CD stereo, LCD television, and cordless phone for free local calls. State-of-the-art appliances include a stove, range, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The Villa also offers free high-speed internet access and wi-fi connectivity. There is also dial-up access available, although you will need to use your own ISP. The unit is non-smoking for your comfort and we do not allow pets.
The Villa is only a 10 minute walk from the heart of the 16th century old city with its cobblestone streets, historic churches, and excellent restaurants and patisseries. Walk through the historic Rue Obscure (a unique centuries old covered street) to the waterfront where fishermen still mend their nets and couples walk hand and hand along the seawall. Villefranche’s unique charm will entrance you and you will be tempted to spend your entire holiday strolling leisurely amongst its shops, or sipping excellent local vintages while gazing out over the bustling harbor.
Yet more adventure is only minutes away! From its ideal location above the Basse Corniche (one of the three main arteries that connect the cities of the Riviera to all of France and Italy), La Ginesta is a ten minute drive from the heart of energetic and exciting Nice to the west or 15 minutes from the gorgeous principality of Monaco to the east. The stunning sea views all along the Corniche make the drive a pleasure all its own.
The Villefranche train station is a ten minute walk and a convenient, easy way to gain access to Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Antibes, Provence, Switzerland, and Italy.
Villefranche is excellently situated for day trips to all the attractions of Southeast France. Cannes, Antibes, St, Paul de Vence, and St, Tropez are all within an hour and half away. Overnight trips to the heart of Provence (We recommend St Remy!), the historic port of Marseilles and even Northern Italy and Switzerland provide a variety of possibilities and experiences.
