The house is lovely, wonderfully decorated. The photos do not show how spacious and well laid out it is. The small, but deep pool is safely fenced. We had the pool heated and it was nice and warm. We had good parking for our boat and 3 cars. We caught 22 Spanish mackerel--delicious!

The property was clean and had everything we needed. We especially loved the wrap around porches. We and our dogs were able to cool off and enjoy the view from the porch. The beach was just a short walk away. We and our dogs loved the pet friendly beach. It was so relaxing to sit out by the pool and not worry about the dogs running off. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a clean relaxing place to call home while on vacation. We look forward to coming back.

Our family which numbered 11 found Heavenly Palms very comfortable and filled all of the family's needs. The pool was enjoyed by both the adults and kids. The area has all that you may need and more. The management group for this property are outstanding and fast to respond to our questions. This is our families first trip to the panhandle of Florida and it did not disappoint. Best regards, George Ratz Author of George'Candy on Amazon and Ebay and the stay at Heavenly Palms was so entertaining I had no time to write.

What a wonderful & relaxing house & area to spend a week. We loved that the house was just like the pictures & had everything we needed. We relaxed at the pool, walked on the beach, fished, had wonderful food including Captain Snook's/Eastpoint, and went to the State park.

I just wanted to say thank you for such a wonderful vacation. We enjoyed our stay so much at Beach Blas. I really expected my children to say they were not crazy to come back to Cape San Blas because there was not much entertainment on the Cape but to my surprise they all are very eager to return next year. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It was an experience we will never forget.

There is something for everyone in a vacation to the Forgotten Coast. For nature lovers like us, we enjoyed watching fiddler crabs in the coastal marshes. We enjoyed dolphins coming up to our boat that we rented via Seahorse Safaris. This area abounds with nature, and we were not disappointed. As for accommodations, we cannot say enough times how much we enjoyed Beach Blas. During the rental process, I was quite impressed with their professionalism and courteousness. The pictures don’t do this place justice though I think Rex and Anne do a great job. And we were so thankful for the little things like good towels and hand soap-what a nice touch. We’ve been to the Cape before and used other companies but Sunset Reflections runs a far superior operation. Kudos to them for providing such a nice home – and that’s what it comes down to. This place felt just like home. We loved it.

Our stay at Beach Blas was a memorable and enjoyable experience. We were very impressed with the upkeep of the home. The beds are so soft, we all enjoyed wonderful sleep. We were also impressed with the household amenities. It's kitchen was well stocked with the proper pans, knives, and small appliances. In addition, the washer and dryer were very up to date and were a major convenience. Not that we watched much tv while there, but it was great to kick back and watch the huge flat screen. The pool was a nice touch and we found ourselves swimming in it a lot. It's not a lap pool but it's certainly relaxing especially if you opt for getting it heated. I like Beach Blas and Cape San Blas is in many ways a magical place. It's a great kept secret and I'm kind of glad it hasn't been discovered too much. When we were there everything was closed by 8 PM. And at night it is pitch black - no streetlights, no sirens, just the gentle lapping of waves against the shore. There is a wild feel about the place - almost as if nature is creeping up all around your home. And the people have a state of mind there that I try to hold on to as long as I can after I return back to my high pace corporate career. If you could sum up that attitude in two words it would be "No Worries". Unlike many other places in Florida, the people down there still understand and respect the concept of southern hospitality. It's reflected in the first class operation Sunset Reflections runs and in the kindness and hospitality of so many of the people you meet when you make a trip to the Cape. -Jim

We had a lovely stay the week of Thanksgiving. Although the water was chilly, the weather was beautiful for almost the entire week. The home was lovely & spacious and I was thankful for the very comfortable bed. Having 3 masters each with their own bath is a rare find we all appreciated. The beach was wonderful as were the handful of people we shared it with. It was just a short stroll down the street and you are perfectly comfortable leaving you things there. The dog was extremely depressed to come home and still misses his daily beach play. I enjoyed the porch swing and the teens were thankful for great WiFi (especially since cell phones were useless)! Local seafood was wonderful (Indian Pass Raw Bar is an experience not to be missed as are the sushi style oysters at Boss Oyster in Apalachicola). Riding horses on the beach with two Bit Stables is something we won't ever forget. Both the home and the area are lovely and we look forward to visiting again. --Angie from Pinellas Park, FL

What a wonderful place to spend a week "away from it all"! Beach Blas provided everything we needed, and the only thing we brought along was food, and a Wii system. Plenty of space, nicely appointed, well kept, and a very wonderful kitchen. The pool was nice, except it was a little cool. Surf casted at the beach...we actually waded out about 100 yards...(my 21 year old daughter and I) and actually caught a couple! Saw dolphins, sting rays, a horseshoe crab...Eagles, hawks, pelicans...really too much wild life to list. The area is wonderful, the beach perfect...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Beach Blas for a week in late September, 2010. The house was clean and laid out well with many porches to enjoy. A short walk to the beach yielded many morning walks where we enjoyed shelling and observing dolphins, pelicans, schools of fish, crabs, and an occasional sting ray. The pool was great after our long walks on the beach and we utilized the charcoal grill a couple of times. The outdoor shower came in handy as well. Wi-fi worked like a champ so we enjoyed watching the Braves at night on the I-Pad while on the upstairs deck.Cellular coverage was good on our I-Phones. We looked forward to the sunsets each night and enjoyed a bit of wine and cheese while watching the magnificent colors. We got some beautiful pictures that we will enjoy sharing with friends and family. Enjoyed the seafood in the area at Port St Joe at the marina and Sunset Coastal Grill. Also the Raw Bar at Indian Pass and Oyster King in Apalachicola were great! Golf at the Port ST Joe CC was fun and saw a few gators. The State Park was fun and we spent some time hiking the bay coastline and visited the beach there. Enjoyed Conehead's that day for an ice cream & beer. The local trading posts and BP station served well for snacks and small meals. Two trips to the Piggly Wiggly were needed for essentials. We visited LuLu's and had ice cream and some fudge. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the house and the area. Likely to return again in the future and would highly recommend to anyone in need for a relaxing time.

We stayed 9 days in August 2010. Really enjoyed this home. We have been coming to the Cape for ten years and have to say this is one of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Loved the pool and the porches. I agree with the other comments, it looks better on arrival than pictures indicate. We love Rish Park for solitude and beautiful beach. Great time scalloping this year. We loved the kitchen, it was very well stocked. Very quiet time of year to come. I would come to stay again and recommend to others. Enjoy those green flashes at sunset!

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation at Beach Blas and would highly recommend to others. The house set-up was perfect for us - my husband and I, two sons and their families, each had our own space (the 3 masters, each with their own bath is the bomb!). A great house in a great location! Keeping our fingers crossed that the oil CONTINUES to stay away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Cape San Blas; We only wish we could have stayed longer. Beach Blas was absolutely perfect for our family. It was very comfortable, well equipped, and nicely decorated with lovely, "beachy" accessories. The beach was beautiful, and the pool was just the right size for our grandkids. Our week there was very relaxing -- just what we all needed! Thank you so much!

We loved Beach Blas and Cape San Blas! The house was very comfortable and inviting. The beach was wonderful and our youngest son brought home a case of beautiful sea shells. We were able to go on (2) shark fishing trips and everyone in our family caught a shark - it was so AWESOME! Thank you for allowing us to bring our pets (Heaven & Zoe) - they had a blast too. We hope to be back soon ;-)
Owner response:Thank you. I am not sure which charter the Von Ewegen Family were on, but I do know that Fish 'n Express had a shark fishing charter that goes out in the evening during season.

The house was even nicer in person than in the photos. Everybody was happy with the accomodations. Our teenagers stayed in the downstairs bedroom( where they could not be heard) and my husband and I stayed upstairs. Our dogs were just glad to be there. The beach is clean and very nice. We saw dolphins every day and the sunsets are not to be missed. This is the nicest pet friendly accomodations we have found. We will come again!

This was our first time at Cape San Blas and "Beach Blas" exceeded all expectations. The home is comfortable and well appointed. Beach Blas offers the visitor a great balance of greenery, sun, shade, comfort, and views. The Sunset Reflection team adroitly handles all requests, is professional in all interactions, and welcomes you like a family member. We wanted a pet-friendly place that purposely had lousy cell reception - we (parents and teenagers) needed to unplug from the world to recharge ourselves. Our puppy, Stella, was introduced to the beach and woke us up each morning "requesting" to go back to the beach to play; we happily complied. As we drove back home we started planning our next visit to CSB. If you would like a laid-back place that has incredible sunrises, sun, and sunsets, you will find a CSB and Beach Blas relaxed and welcoming place.

We had such a wonderful week at Cape Blas. The house is wonderful and the beach fantastic. We also enjoyed working with the Rental agents,We had a problem with the AC, they quickly took care of it. They were a pleasure to deal with. Our German Shepard loved running the beach and he was very comfortable at the house too. We will be back! Thank you for this house, The Behrens

We have just returned from our weeks stay at Beach Blas with our 2 dogs Zoe & Tigger. It was our first experience at Cape San Blas and our dogs' first beach trip and staying at Beach Blas made it perfect. It is a very beautiful home but also cozy. It was also nice to come back from the beach and swim in the pool. I especially enjoyed the porch swing at night. We will definitely be back next year.

Stayed the week of June 20th, 2009 and had a ball. Great house & pool. The beach was wonderful for the kids and very close. Tried the nature trail at the state park at low tide and found 30+ sand dollars in less than 20 minutes. Great week for the whole family.

What a beautiful and comfortable home! On vacations, we normally stay in condos or hotel rooms, so to be able to have the entire house was such a pleasure! The beach at Cape San Blas is absolutely gorgeous, and with the pool at Beach Blas you have the best of both! Sitting on the front porch, I was amazed at how peaceful and quiet the neighborhood was--my 3 year old Goldendooddle slept like a.......dog!!!

We usually go to St. George Island. We decided to try Cape San Blas because the sand looked much prettier than St. George. It was gorgeous. The breeze from the porch was amazing and we enjoyed the quiet slow pace of Cape San Blas. The homes we have stayed in that were pet friendly in the past were not nice homes. This is a very nice place to stay and our dogs loved it too. I would highly recommend this place for a family vacation.

My sister and I spent a wonder few days in Beach Blas. It is a lovely house, very well appointed, and we had every single thing we could dream of at our fingertips. It was only a short stroll to the stunning beach, and we did a long beach walk every morning. Anyone would be comfortable and right at home in this great house. My sister and I surely enjoyed it.

This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and we could not have enjoyed it more. What a well kept little secret! We came across it doing an online search for dog-friendly beaches. The beach was beautiful, miles of white sand, very few people, great shell-collecting. Our 2 Miniature Pinschers, Stanley and Mandy, enjoyed their long daily walks, chasing birds and sunbathing. It really is a destination in itself and we felt perfectly content staying home most of the time, cooking local seafood and enjoying the beauty of the gulf. The house was awesome, very comfortable, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. We also enjoyed shopping in Apalachicola and fresh seafood at The Indian Pass Oyster Bar. We hated to leave and will most definitely be back!

Our month-long stay February 2009 at Beach Blas was absolutely perfect. The house was truly a welcoming one and very suitable for a family or visiting guests. Anna and Rex checked in numerous times to see if we needed anything (we didn't). Being first-timers to Cape San Blas we truly didn't know what to expect, but the hone, the beaches, the people, the location, the sunsets all truly exceeded our expectations. Quite simply Beach Blas was a lovely home to spend the most memorable time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day weekend at Beach Blas. We found the house to be comfortable and well-furnished with everything we needed. Our seven-month-old daughter and our bulldog enjoyed the stay as well. With a small baby, it was great to be able to enjoy the pool with our baby monitor during her naps. I enjoyed surf fishing on the beach (caught a few). We also simply enjoyed relaxing on the porches and watching the Gulf. We definitely recommend staying on Cape San Blas in the Beach Blas house.

Beach Blas is a brand new offering by Sunset Reflections Vacation Rentals starting end of August 2008. I am sorry but we do not have any guest comments yet. The home is beautiful, with lovely landscaping and a great private pool, nice gulf views and views of St Joseph Bay and close beach access. It offers all the comforts of home away from home and we hope you will enjoy your stay.
