Location: Rocky Mount, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, USA (2 1/2 hours SW of St. Louis; 3 hours SE of Kansas City)
Accommodations: Cottage Home/ Lake House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)
This is a cottage that housed our family for 11 summers. We love the Lake of the Ozarks area so much we decided to live here year round and bought another house. We have opened up our cottage for others to enjoy.
The cottage is 1100 square feet with enough room for two average-size families. There are 3 bedrooms and the master and 2nd bedrooms have queen size beds. The third bedroom has a bunk bed with two single size beds. Finally, the living area has a fold-out couch with a queen size bed. Spring of 2007 we installed new flooring through out the cottage. Wall to wall carpeting in the living, dining and bedrooms. New linoleum floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. There are two TV's, 2 VCR's and 2 DVD / CD players. The living room has a receiver so you can play movies or CD's through the stereo speakers. You can hook up your MP3 player too. There are even speakers outside for the deck area. We welcome pets. No family should have to leave their pet at home while on vacation. There is no pet deposit.
You will enjoy the 1000 square foot, four-tiered deck overlooking Opossum Cove. The main deck has an eight-person picnic table. There is a hammock on another tier of the deck and yet another level of the deck overhangs the water for fishing. The top deck is covered so even if there is rain you can still enjoy the outdoors.
The cottage is close to the water and the lot is moderately sloped so you will only have a few stairs to navigate. There is a single well, 20 foot slip boat dock with a good-size swimming platform with nice calm water. If you like to fish, the dock has a sink with an attached counter for cleaning them. The cottage sits on two and a half acres so the neighbors are not too close. You will have your own fire pit at the water's edge for a cozy camp fire. There is also plenty of parking right next to the cottage. Bringing the groceries and suitcases from the car to the house is a breeze.
Lake of the Ozarks is a tourist heaven with lots of shopping within 30 minutes drive. There is a very large outlet mall in Osage Beach with 110 stores. There are also places nearby that rent boats and personal watercraft (Jet-Skis). You'll find many go-cart tracks and other activities for the family including the historic Bagnell Dam area.
We will see to it that you have a wonderful time here at the lake. We live only five minutes away by water and 15 minutes by land so if there is anything that needs to be addressed, we will do everything in our power to accommodate you.
FAQ's:
Where can we put a boat in the water? Coffman Beach Access is only a couple miles away. It's actually on the way to the cottage so you could put the boat in the water on your way. There is not a lot of room near the cottage for a trailer so ask us and we'll tell you where to park it.
Where can we rent a boat? Contact Adventure Boat Rentals at (573) 964-1999. Adventure boat rentals is about 15 minutes by car and 5 minutes by water. There are many other boat rental companies in the area so if you need more information just ask!
NO GROUPS UNDER THE AGE OF 25. SUCH AS BACHELOR / BACHELORETTE PARTIES, SENIOR TRIPS ETC.
Please note: In the event of cancellation the half-rent payment(described below) to reserve the cottage for a specific time period is not refundable unless we are able to rent the cancelled time period to someone else. The second-half rent payment that is due two weeks prior to the scheduled vacation time period is not refundable. The damage deposit will be returned immediately upon cancellation.

$500.00 Refundable Damage Deposit Required 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Half of the Rent to Be Paid when Reservation is Made.
