Cooperstown house description
Welcome to Annie's Retreat, where local history and country comfort come together! They are located in an area referred to as the Otsdawa, settled over 200 years ago. The Otsdawa is located between Oneonta and Otego. Just 10 minutes from Cooperstown Allstar Baseball (Oneonta) and 35 minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park (Milford). Only 15 minutes to Baseball World.
When the Otsdawa was a small frontier settlement, the Retreat played home to a blacksmith shop, a general store, and a one room schoolhouse. Nearby there was a grist mill, a post office and carriage house that provided overnight stays.
When you've had your fill of baseball, soccer, museums and shopping, come home to Annie's Retreat. You can hike through 95 acres of trails over hills and through woodlands, fish in the large pond, or relax on the spacious porch after a barbecue and study the Milky Way when night falls.
Annie's Retreat is a three bedroom, two bath house with full kitchen, large dining room and comfortable living room with TV and attached sun room, all beautifully decorated with country antiques. Air conditioners keep the place comfortably cool! One bedroom is on the first floor, and also a full bathroom. Two additional bedrooms and a full bath are on the second floor. The house is equipped with all necessary bedding and towels.
Free local and long distance phone since some cell phones do not work well in this area. WiFi has been added for your convenience. Direct TV Cable. Housekeeping is not provided.
On the 95 acres are two ponds. One near the house that is 8 ft. deep and one that you can drive to that is wider and a little easier access for kayaks and canoes. We are also located near 2 boats launches on the Susquehanna River.
Our rates off season are $150 per night Sunday - Thursday and $225 per night Friday and Saturday nights. There is a 4% County Bed tax and a $300 refundable damage deposit. If you stay a full week the rate is $900.00.
