Hidden, Quiet Mexico at Its Best
San Pancho is a wonderful, quaint, and very friendly little village on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, just 30 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, and 10 miles north of Punta de Mita (the home of both Four Seasons and St. Regis Resorts and all of the amenities that go along with 5 star properties such as these). San Pancho, formally known as San Francisco has one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. Casa Pacifica is on the nicest stretch of this mile long beach, just a short walk from the center of this lovely little Pacific coastal jewel, where the rich culture of the indigenous people magically blends with the newer customs of their North American and European neighbors. Here you will find everything from an Italian Bakery, to a Brazilian restaurant, from a choice of grocery stores to a myriad of quaint shops that line the cobblestone streets.
There are excellent restaurants in town with varied international menus, really good local Mexican dishes, great margaritas, and plenty of fresh seafood, and Casa Pacifica is only a block from the best restaurant, Mar Plata. Other evening activities include live entertainment, Saturday night polo matches and endless forms of art and culture. Dolphins and Whales are common to the area and they will captivate your heart as they magically entertain you with their delightful dancing show; especially during the months of October through February. San Pancho also has a yoga and wellness center, named El-Estar, meaning "Being". The multiple relaxation and healing treatments provided by these incredible therapists can enhance your long or short stay as well as heal your aches and pains. New in 2011, San Pancho also has its own golf course. Las Huertas Golf Club is a nine hole course that can be played as 18 and is located about one quarter mile from Casa Pacifica.
This romantic, classically styled Mexican villa offers a casual elegance not often found in today's world. View pelicans, frigates, dolphins, whales, iguanas, butterflies, and other wildlife while sipping cold drinks from the privacy of the patio. Amenities of Casa Pacifica include 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms with hotel quality beds -- two upstairs (one king, one queen) and two down (both kings) -- each has its own private bathroom and air conditioning. The two bedrooms upstairs have their own private ocean front balcony with an attractive lounge area. New renovations and furnishings including designer linens; a Weber Gas Grill on the patio; a high end gourmet kitchen complete with Wolf Range, Subzero refrigerator, new Spanish Colonial tile counter tops, and quality cookware and cutlery; ensure that your stay will be comfortable and luxurious.
Your days can be filled with activities -- from swimming to sightseeing to taking yoga -- or you can just lounge by the plunge pool or on the white sand beach and wait for the sun to drop into the beautiful, blue Pacific. Whales migrate between October and February. See them from the terrace or get close-up on a boat in the Bay of Banderas. As a nature lover you can enjoy tropical birds flying by or go on a bird watching tour. Observe iguanas, geckos, tajones or tour the turtle nursery and help release the baby turtles into the ocean. Ocean kayaking, a zip-line adventure, snorkeling and hiking in the palm jungle are the best ways to enjoy the tropical environment. The sunsets are breathtaking! Casa Pacifica is tropical Mexico as you dreamed it would be.

Why the Owner Chose San Francisco (San Pancho)
When we visited San Pancho for the first time in 2007, it was love at first sight! Our plan had been to spend a month traveling up the coast from Manzanillo to Mazatlan looking for a place to build our retirement home. We had a long list of requirements; friendly people, a spectacular ocean view, and a town with a relaxing vibe that still had restaurants and other attractions. It turned out that San Pancho was our first and last stop. We rented Casa Pacifica for a week before starting our Journey. We fell in love with it immediately and bye buy travel plans. We knew that we'd never find anything we liked better, no matter where we looked.
The Unique Benefits at this House
San Pancho is truly paradise and Casa Pacifica sits just off the water's edge on a beautiful expanse of soft sandy beach. Days and nights provide continual tropical breezes and the tranquil sounds of the sea. The villa's design brings magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean from virtually every vantage point in the villa. You can gaze at the sailboats and fisherman as they pass the villa, or maybe catch sight of the whales and dolphins as they swim past. And then there is an awe-inspiring sunset followed by the captivating and magical lights of the neighboring villages set against the star-filled night sky. You will find Casa Pacifica to be a tranquil and elegant stay for your holiday.
Nine Hole Golf Course that may be played as Eighteen by using different tees the second time around

We have always had a sense of adventure and we were lured to Casa Pacifica by the sea. In the mid 90's we decided to begin looking for the perfect seaside location.
Our travels took us around the world a couple of times but in the end we found our paradise within three hours of home. Situated at the perfect spot on the perfect beach, Casa Pacifica, with easy access to all attractions and with awesome views has proved extremely popular with guests who return year after year. We would love to share our little bit of paradise with you and introduce you to "Mexico's Little Secret" - the hidden gem of the Mexican Riviera!

San Pancho, but to be more specific, Casa Pacifica is my husband's favorite place in the whole world. And we travel a lot. I must admit, it is one of my favorite places too. We can't wait to go back! We've traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas and several locations on the Caribbean side of the country. So when a group of friends decided to book a place in San Pancho, we didn't know what to expect. In fact, we were a bit leery as to what we were getting ourselves into when it seemed far away from a big city. We arranged, in advance, for a van to pick us up at the airport. The driver stopped at one of the Mega Super stores and we stocked up on groceries. Back on the road, the driver turned left off the highway, toward the ocean and we drove through an authentic Mexican Village with dusty streets, small (and large) homes and lots of friendly locals. The moment we walked in Casa Pacifica's front door, we were not disappointed. The villa was clean and spacious, but the best part of all: the view was magnificent. We walked through the entry, past the kitchen, through the courtyard, onto the sand, and into the water. You cannot get any closer to the beach than this! And the sunsets were breathtaking. We felt amazingly safe. We lounged, took walks, played games, shopped, swam, and ate at some of the best restaurants we've ever eaten, like La Ola Rica. Some days we cooked in. The place was stocked with everything needed. The thing our group of couples liked best, was how private the bedrooms are in this villa. Each room has it's own bathroom. No bedroom walls are shared with other bedroom walls so there is a great amount of privacy. And those who liked to get up early in the morning didn't disturb those who liked to sleep in. Casa Pacifica is an amazing find and we hope to travel there again and again. It is a place to relax, forget about life back home. I have a blog that tells a bit more and includes some photos. Please check it out by googling traveladdict911. I think the villa has a listing of tours that people can take advantage of. There is also a hotel nearby that may offer some adventure tours. Our group did not partake in anything except relaxation. I did have an amazing massage, and would recommend getting one. Go. Enjoy. Fall in love with Casa Pacifica and San Pancho.

We absolutely loved the beautiful Casa Pacifica and the quiet, charming town of San Pancho. Casa Pacifica's location right at the north end of the beach is probably the best in San Pancho. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets and starry evenings from our patio as well as swimming on the beach in front of the house. The property managers, Abigail and Carlos, were delightful. One thing -- the waves at Playa San Pancho can be challenging at times. Weaker swimmers will be able to go in the water only when conditions are right.

Our group of friends and family stayed at Casa Pacifica during New Years week 2011. Our communications with the owners was easy and hassle free. All communication was managed promptly in an organized professional manner. The local manager in San Pancho, Abigail, greeted us upon arrival with appetizers and margaritas - all freshly made and beautifully presented. The house is charming and beautifully maintained with up to date appliances and everything was in working order. The outdoor area is well maintained and comfortable with pleny of lounge chairs and beach towels. Also Abigail was just a phone call away to answer any questions we had. The beach is beautiful and the area is safe and quiet. We would rent this property again and recommend it to others.

San Pancho and Casa Pacifica - what a great combination! Fabulous restaurants in town, fantastic cooking on the grill at home. A casual friendly town and a casual friendly house - but with lots of special amenities. Lying in a chase lounge on the beach, taking a fresh dip in the plunge pool, walking the mile long beach, having a cocktail at sunset and then grilling up a batch of fresh fish caught that morning by the local fisherman - these are the things that dreams are made of. Everyone in our group absolutely loved their stay at your home and also fell in love with San Pancho! Thank you so much for sharing Casa Pacifica, Danielle

What a great place! We have been home for two weeks now but still remember fondly sitting on the patio with our margarita's and watching the waves crash on the rocks. It was so nice to stay at a rental home that does not feel like a rental home. Obviously you have decorated and supplied the home as if it was only for your use and to a renter, this feels very special. We just can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had! The location is fantastic, the patio provided many wonderful moments, the upstairs patio was our sanctuary and the bedrooms were as comfortable as our own home. We will be back next year for sure! In the meantime we will spreading the word among our friends in Seattle about the wonderful gem we discovered in San Pancho. Best Regards, Teresa

I really appreciate being asked for feedback. Having owned a condo in Sun Valley that was rented out to the public, we have some knowledge of the many issues owners face. We were delighted with Casa Pacifica. What a wonderful house you have purchased! I really enjoyed its location at the end of the beach, away from vendors that might intrude on the peace of folks nearer to the center of town. The house seems solidly built. The pool is deeper than I expected from the picture, and would have been so refreshing if our weather had been hotter. We spent hours in the patio reading, yakking, relaxing and eating around the patio table complete with the palapa's rope lights. The two blue mesh chairs were the preferred seats just outside the patio. Dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, kitchen equipment such as the blender, coffee maker and gas grill made our time in the house easy and pleasant. What a nice grill! The outside switch for the gas to the grill should be noted in information on the house. Kitchen cabinets are on the funky side but have sort of a local charm. You have wonderful internet reception. The bathrooms, especially the fun shower floors, made us grin each time we entered. Bed linens were fine as was the quality of the towels, although not every room had wash cloths. Lighting in the bedrooms seemed fine, and we all really enjoyed your wide array of books throughout the house. We also loved having the CD player; thanks for leaving that for our use. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation. We all loved it! Edie
