My family went to Massachusetts for a wedding and the home was beautiful. They kept not only the home clean but the landscaping was beautiful as well. The owners were quite helpful and polite.

An active young retired professional from Switzerland, I thoroughly enjoyed my 10-day stay in this spacious, practical, comfortable and esthetically pleasing apartment, corresponding in every way to the owners' description and photos. Rokhaya and Alex were extremely helpful yet discrete. The location, among the most picturesque I know, is quiet enough for a sound night or a dreamy time in the garden, yet near coffee shops and art galeries easily reached on foot. There is the bustle of a real lived-in neighborhood around you. Several relatives, of four different generations, visited me while I was there and all admired my lucky find. For children and lovers of beauty, nearby Niles Beach is perfect.

We loved this place!
We loved this place!
WOW did we love this place. The pictures did not do it justice! It is brand new, spacious, well equipped and bright. We felt like we were at the beach, sans the tacking beach decor. The apt. is decorated with Rokhaya's art, as well art work done by family members. The art is very high end and tasteful. The kitchen table is rustic theme with reclaimed wood and the pantry door wood is reclaimed from an old garage that used to sit on the property. I loved both! Rocks Neck is a very quiet area in the art district. We only spent one morning walking the neighborhoods and galleries and regretted that we did not have more time to spend there, as most of our time was at the beach. We travelled with our 3 year old and 1 year old. The 3 year old slept in the living area on a very comfortable blow up mattress which took no more than 5 minutes each night to plug in and get going. We were grateful that it was not a walmart cheapy! The towels and sheets were plush! We ate our meals on the deck which has a small view of the harbor. It was perfect as it overlooks Rokhaya quiet and colorful back yard. While there are homes to the left and the right, I felt it was very private out on the deck and in the apartment. To make our lobster salad, Rokhaya allowed us access to her veggie garden were we were able to snip some fresh herbs. Many thanks! About 2 minute walk down the road is Duckworth Bistro, which had the best ratings on Yelp. While we didn’t go as it really wasn’t for kids, it seems like the #1 spot in that area. We will be back, and for a trip longer than 3 nights. Rokhaya was great to work with as well, you can tell that she truly cared that our vacation was enjoyable. Thank you!

Was lovely to meet you Rokhaya! Perfect location for my wonderfully relaxing stay. Just a short walk to niles beach and rocky neck. Lovely deck over looking the most enchanting wheeping willow. Very clean and tastefully decorated. I look forward to visiting again!

Why the Owner Chose Gloucester:
My husband and I love living in this area that has inspired so many artists: Fitz Henry Lane, Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, John Sloan, and Marsden Hartley- to name just a few. We cherish being able to walk to Rocky Neck for breakfast at Sailor Stan's, dinner at The Rudder, or for a freshly baked muffin and a newspaper at The Last Stop. This area feels like a village- everything we need is right here!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Being so close to a thriving city, rich with history and things to see and do; beaches, sunsets over the ocean- all within a quiet, friendly community has made us feel as though we are on vacation, right here at home.
