The wonderful fenced-in backyard is perfect for running children and dogs, and also serves nicely as an early evening croquet field (set included).
When the grown-ups are sitting down to their lobsters, send the kids down to the sensational basement childrens' quarters, which contains two sets of bunkbeds, cable TV, VCR, boom box, games, puzzles, comfy couches, and loads of books. Four additional bedrooms mean that an extended family, or two, can enjoy vacationing in this bit of island history.
Only a five-minute walk to the shops, restaurants, ball field, playground, and ferry dock of Vineyard Haven, or to watch the boats and waterfowl in the lagoon. A ten-minute walk will take you to a small swimming beach, while the larger beaches are just a short drive away.
