Friday Harbor apartment description
We are located on the tip of North Bay, steps away from the ocean. Our 1,400 sq. ft. two bedroom, two bath vacation rental accommodates from one to six guests.
The living room, kitchen, bedrooms and decks have 180 degree views of the Salish Sea and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains.
The sunken living room offers a cozy wood stove, a Samsung 46 inch flat screen Smart Hub TV with a Blu-ray DVD disk player, a stereo system and two twin sleeper sofas, ideal for kids.
One bedroom is light-filled with a charming pine bedroom set and views of Dinner Island and Griffin Bay. The Master Suite has a private ocean-facing deck, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and dressing room and a large computer-office desk. Both bedrooms have southern exposures.
Among our resident wildlife are bald eagles, great blue heron, doves and quail, deer and fox, seals and river otter. The organic gardens offer quiet repose. Tranquil and rejuvenating, we enjoy one of the most beautiful shorelines that make San Juan Island a top destination spot in the world.

WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT RATES: DURING THE SEASON (APRIL THROUGH SEPTEMBER) AND OFF-SEASON (OCTOBER THROUGH MARCH).
DURING THE SEASON, OUR NIGHTLY RATE IS $350.00 A NIGHT WITH A ONE WEEK MINIMUM STAY. OUR OFF-SEASON RATE IS $250.00 A NIGHT WITH A 4 DAY MINIMUM STAY. OUR OFF-SEASON MONTHLY RATE FOR JAN., FEB., AND MARCH IS $2,000.00.

Check in Time: Noon and Check out Time: Noon. Reservation deposit is $500.00 which converts to a security deposit at check-in and is refundable minus damage or excessive cleaning within 7 days of departure.

About the owner: Building our family home on the point of North Bay 25 years ago has been one of our most rewarding and exciting adventures. We love living the island life and have been very active in community services and volunteer work. David is a retired naval officer, engineer, and real-estate broker and I am a retired United Airlines International flight attendant and educator. We are originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon. This spring, we decided to live 6 months in the desert and 6 months at home. We think VRBO is the perfect fit for our new life-style change. We do encourage long-term renters in the off-season months of January through March.

We live on a private road in a quiet neighborhood that overlooks North Bay and Griffin Bay. One advantage to living so close to the sea is the intimate views of the sea-life that surrounds us, from the great blue heron to the fragile purple starfish. Of course, wintertime storms are always grand. One is always reminded of the special beauty where we live, whether it is paddle boarding across the bay to Dinner Island, bicycling into town, listening to birdsong, or watching a mother deer carefully guiding her twin fawns away from harm's way.

Jackson's Beach is one mile from our home. Beach activities include swimming, sailing, salmon fishing, crabbing, kayaking, wind-surfing and paddle-boarding or just walking the shoreline, looking for sea glass. We do have private parking for your car with space for a 20 foot boat, which can be launched from nearby Jackson's Beach.
