Two bedroom, two bath waterfront Condo on north Padre Island. Not a high rise type, our condo is the corner penthouse of a two-story building with one adjacent neighbor. You view the Laguna Madre, Kennedy Causeway and the Packery Channel from the living room and decks. Outdoorsman's Dream - Coastal Vacation, all in one.
Keep your boat in the water at the dock out back (within 20 feet of the back door) or just enjoy the coastal environment. You and the kids can fish along the bulkhead under the lights at night. Take a kayak adventure down the Packery Channel and the surrounding coastal flats area where fishing and birding can be very productive. Surfing, windsurfing the SE tradewinds, migratory waterfowl hunting, and water skiing are also regular outdoor opportunities in the Laguna. There is a large Pool shared by the residents of Puente Vista for an afternoon freshwater swim. Drive to the beach at Padre Balli Park or to the Bob Hall Pier in 5 minutes. Padre Isles Country Club and Golf club is within a couple miles. There are organized activities for winter Texans throughout the winter months in the Recreation room. The meeting/gathering room can also be made available to guests for a variety of functions with proper notice.
Grill your catch or burgers by the waters edge. The dining room table easily seats six or more with the bench. The kitchen has a nice refrigerator with freezer and stove. There is a dishwasher (2007) and all cooking/eating utensils.
Relax in one of the four recliner chairs (2 sofa/2 loveseat) in the living room and watch the HD LCD/TV or read a book. There is a King-size bed full bath and TV in the master bedroom that looks out to the bay (Laguna Madre). A Queen-size bed plus a double bottom and single top bunk bed in the front bedroom with full bath and deck. Bed linens and bath towels are included. The Bedrooms and Living room all have walkout deck area's with sliding glass door access.
There are clean and well maintained Washers and Dryers (coin) in the central recreation/pool/party area. There is a parking area to store your boat trailer or extra vehicles on site. Fish cleaning station with freshwater washdown at the waters edge.
The Packery Channel provides an open waterway pass for boat access to the Gulf of Mexico (appx 3 miles from the condo – 10 minute boat ride) between the newly constructed jetties. The jetties can also be a productive fishing spot to target Tarpon, Snook, King and Spanish Mackerel and the ever-popular Redfish.
Drive to the Gulf of Mexico Beach in 5-minutes or to the Corpus Christi marina in 10-minutes (very convenient location). Port Aransas is a 30-minute drive north on the island via 361. The National Seashore Park is about a 20-minute drive south via P22 on Padre Island. Please see my website below for further information and map. Immediate access, out the condo door to the boat dock to keep boat in the water for immediate fishing the Laguna Madre. Boat access to the blue water of the Gulf of Mexico through the Packery Channel jetty. Easy auto access to the Gulf of Mexico beaches. Quick access to downtown Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. Unobstructed views of the JFK Causeway and Laguna Madre sunset.

Pass to the Gulf of Mexico. Passable by boats large and small. Also an excellent place to fish from the rocks and easily accessable by foot. I prefer the south jetty.
Golf isn't my cup of tea, but Padre Isles Country Club is also a "Certified Audobon Cooperative Sanctuary". http://www.padreislescc.com/
My favorite place for live bait. It's been here forever. There are public boat launches all along this area.
Eat fish and shrimp off of paper plates or buy bait and launch your boat next door. Actually Snoopys is a local experience you probably should try at least once. It's not cheap, but it is big on atmos

Excellent seafood restaurant accessable by boat - cut across the Laguna Madre or follow ther marked channels via the New Humble channel, or travel there by car on Laguna Shores Rd - to the end on the
turn here for a 15 minute drive down 361 to Port A. There are a number of locations to access fishing and the beaches along this route.
This is the place to windsurf. The prevailing SE wind usually blows 10-30 MPH from March through July. It's hard to miss it...and you'll be thankful because it blows the mosquitoes out too.
Nice launch and saves you about 17 miles of boat travel if you are heading to Baffin. You will need a National Park pass $10/7 day or $20 annual plus Bird Island Basin usage fee of $10 annual pass.

You can access this area by car and then wade or kayak in. Can be an excellent early morning fishing spot in the summer months

We are a family of 4 that love the water. Dad fishes for redfish and speckled seatrout, mom kayaks and rides her bike on the island, son (college)loves to duck hunt, hang at the beaches and fish, and daughter (highschool) loves the beach, kayaking, fishing and swimming.
