Toronto house description
Leslieville is just east of downtown Toronto, and is regularly featured in local and international media as a gentrifying, multicultural, eclectic neighborhood with some of the best (but not the most expensive) restaurants and innovative chefs in the city, along with vibrant independent fashion/ vintage / antique/ retail stores/coffee shops. It's also home to movie studios, and frequent location shoots. And all this is within easy transit access to the downtown core 15 minutes away, or convenient for relaxing and enjoying the boardwalk and Beaches area by Lake Ontario.
The house is over 100 years old, has the original charming pine-plank floors on the main level, and has been renovated to offer guests comfort, style and design. The main floor has an open plan living / dining area, high ceilings and a fully functional wood-burning fireplace. The large eat-in kitchen with granite counters and a cork floor, looks out onto a backyard walled / fenced patio, with a modern BBQ and outdoor dining, and the container plantings include a great selection of herbs in summer. The front patio gets the later afternoon sun to enjoy cocktail hour.
Upstairs, the large main bedroom has a queen bed and a huge walk-in closet, there is a bathroom with heated marble mosaic floor, a 6’ tub and separate walk-in rain-forest shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and a large closet.
The finished basement has a large-screen TV, a pull-out bed couch (which is suitable for kids), a 3-piece bathroom and laundry. The workstation has a printer, which connects to the hi-speed WI-Fi network.
The house is air-conditioned and has a security system. I also offer a concierge service so that the refrigerator is stocked with food and refreshments on arrival, and I keep a neighborhood guide updated so that you know the neat places and things to see and do within a 10-minute walk.

not just a house but a home
not just a house but a home
I knew when I walked in the front door that this would be an enjoyable stay. This is not just a house but a home, very tastefully furnished and very well equipped, lacking for nothing. Our friendly host has paid attention to every small detail even bringing firewood for us. The location was good with easy access to downtown, interesting shops and cafes. I can highly recommend this home and when in Toronto next I will definitely plan to stay. here

About the owner: I've lived in the US, Belgium, UK and Canada, and Toronto is now definitely home! I speak French, Spanish and enough Dutch and Italian to communicate, so international visitors are certainly welcome.
Why the Owner Chose Toronto:
When I downsized, I was looking for a detached home with handsome proportions and character, but was not too large, in an interesting neighbourhood. The house fits the bill - high ceilings, comfortable space utilization and features like the pine plank floors and wood-burning fireplace, and Leslieville is an area which has already gone through transition, and continues to evolve.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Guests enjoy the whole house, there is easy permit parking on the street, and there is quick access to downtown, the film studio district, and to the west, the beaches and boardwalk recreational areas.
