This place was awesome! So peaceful out there, we loved it. No neighbors or road noise to bother us. The hot tub was really nice and the place was immaculate. I have dust allergies and I can say the cleaning people do a great job. Kitchen layout was nice, tons of room. Our group of eight was very comfortable here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a snowmobiling trip for three couples from Minnesota. Great hot tub with lots of jets. The ladies commented on how nice and clean the place was. The bed was a little to soft for me, but my wife loved it. One of the guys had to work on vacation and said the wifi worked fine.Driveway was big and well plowed, lots of room to park our three trucks and two sled trailers. The owner was quick to answer all our questions and real helpful with things to do in the area. We went to a restaurant down the road that she recommended called Boondocks, really good food and cheap. Overall, it was a great cabin for us and we would come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our recent stay at the Lariat Lodge was wonderful. The area is beautiful and quiet; the lodge is very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We had a house full of children, who enjoyed playing in the meadows and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We would definitely return. The only downside for us was the distance from Yellowstone, which was our primary purpose for the trip. We spent a lot of time driving to and from the Park. However, the cabin itself was perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I'm happy to hear your family enjoyed the cabin. It is a 40 minute drive to West Yellowstone, depending on traffic. It can take longer in the busy summer season. Most of my clients spend one day in Yellowstone and then find plenty to do in the Island Park area closer to the cabin, less tourists....more fun!

Beautiful cabin with a great location. The cabin was spacious and well appointed. Sitting in the hot tub and taking in the mountain air was a real treat! I recommend driving to the nearby Sawtelle peak for spectacular views of the Island Park area. And of course, Yellowstone is only 20 minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay and we plan to return soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.

We loved this place! Everything there was extremely clean and as described, hot tub, big screen, linens, plenty of beds for our group of 10. The best part for us was no traffic noise, pine trees everywhere and lots of animal sightings for our children. We had never seen a moose before so that was really cool for us. We liked the fire pit and had lots of fun making smores. Hot tub had the nicest lounger in it with so many jets. My husband and I used it every evening after riding the atvs with our kids all day. Great big tv, but we didn't use it much, too busy enjoying the outdoors in Island Park.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family really enjoyed our week long stay at the cabin. The weather was a little cold but the hot tub and gas fireplace warmed us up just fine! The kitchen and dining room were plenty big enough for our group of 14 with all the pans and dished I needed to cook. The guys loved the big screen to watch sports on tv. I couldn't believe how much wildlife we saw just sitting on the decks, moose, deer and lot's of elk. We look forward to coming back next summer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
