Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
First, the structure was intriguing and I wanted to make it better.
Second, while all of the vail Valley offers incredible experiences, Beaver Creek Resort Company is exceptional in making a guest feel welcome. The entire resort caters to your needs and whime, not just the place where you put your head to sleep. This is unique.
Finally, I am spoiled. I like to reach the slopes easily. I like to play tennis with a great group every morning in the summer at the tennis center. I like to pass people who smile.
The Unique Benefits at this House
My two favorite things about the house are the LOCATION...1 to 5 minutes to ski lifts, restaurants, stores, hikes and so many activities and PEACEFULNESS. I can sit in a reading chair, enveloped by trees with a roaring fire and lose myself in a book. We sit as a group at dinner among twinkling white lights and feel as though no noe else exists even though the road is nearby. When mountain restaurants are crowded, we can come home for lunch and be warm and skiing agin in an hour.

My daughter's wedding was in June 2011 in Beaver Creek. We used the house for the rehearsal dinner and it was a magical spot. Perfect space and a lovely spot for 30+ people to enjoy the great outdoors as well as a beautiful home. The home was actually as pictured minus the snow. We would like to stay again and plan on it.!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This site offers guidelines for how to write a review, in an effort to not get too personally carried away I will follow the guidelines: No, the description does not reflect the location - one bathroom is completely non functional; the tub faucets did not turn on and if you ran the shower the whole bathroom would be flooded within minutes due to a leak we could not pinpoint (in addition TVs did not work as did burners on the stove); In addition, the futons and additional mattresses they refer to were molded horribly and chewed up by rodents - no way would I let my kids sleep on them. The house is relatively nice and the services offered at the location (shuttle mostly) are extremely convenient. The cleanliness was nonexistent because it was not clean, pots and pans were filthy, silverware was gross, that layer of grime and dust existed throughout the kitchen. There was a hole the size of a manhole in the floor of the utility room (door would not close securely) that we had to gaurd against the younger kids falling in and getting hurt. The drive and walkway were covered with ice making it extremely dangerous to even walk through the front door - this was not runoff from melting - this is months of ice buildup. The items I've mentioned are the bigger issues; there were numerous others. When I first called the owners, who live in Colorado, they answered their phone - when I explained the issues they disappeared. I have continued to try and contact them since March and they have chosen not to respond - so, NO! THE OWNERS DID NOT CARE ABOUT OUR CONCERNS AT ALL! If they had simply responded or even said sorry we might not be so frustrated. I would never recommend this property to a friend or family and caution anyone to go through the entire place before committing to the high rent they ask. The location is fantastic if you are skiing, outside of that this place (VRBO # 48811) is the worst rental experience we have ever had.
