A lovely five bedroom, three bath home situated on nearly two acres totally surrounded by conservation land, on a knoll overlooking Folgers Marsh, with views of Nantucket Harbor toward Pocomo Point. Sunrises over the Marsh are spectacular. A great place to read those summer beach novels, catch some sun, and just relax.
The harbor beach is a short walk from "Moorview". The surfing beaches are a three and a half mile drive. The Polpis Road Bike Path is just outside the privet hedge entrance. The Nantucket Life Saving Museum is also just a short walk away.
The design of this home lends itself to three private sleeping areas. On the first level is the master bedroom with queen-size bed and full bath. Also on the first level, at the opposite end of the house, are two bedrooms, each with twin beds, with a full bath in between. Up the spiral staircase are two more bedrooms, each with twin beds, separated by a full bath, one with a TV.
On the first level are the dining room, a large kitchen with counter/bar stools, a large living room with gas fireplace stove and book shelves full of good books, and a den with TV/VCR. The outside shower is an amenity to shake the sand off, but also an unusual luxury.
To the front, three sets of French doors lead to a large semicircular deck, furnished with lounge chairs, deck chairs, as well as a large outdoor table and chairs that can seat eight comfortably. To the rear is a lovely English flower garden, surrounded by a white picket fence. The grounds around the house are large and well kept. The shell drive leads to a garage for keeping bikes and other recreational equipment, and a large parking area. The deck is up the granite stairs and through the Pennsylvania riverstone walls and professional plantings from the parking area.
