I loved the cabin and the property very much. The lawn was very nice and we enjoyed walking the dog on it. My 6 year old son loved the treehouse also. I would highly recommend this cabin. I would try to arrive during daylight to make the drive easier, the road leading to the house from the main highway is very curvy. My son thought a bigfoot was going to jump out any second.

We had a wonderful time
We loved the extra touches, the flowers, the welcome letter, the folder of things to do. The house was immaculate and the views fabulous. We especially enjoyed the horseback riding in the Dupont National Forest and the Zip Lining and rafting in the Nantahala valley.

An Exceptional Getaway!
An Exceptional Getaway!
A great place to stay for a couple, family, or families. Fantastic views! Beautiful, extremely well-kept cabin and yard. Also, the flowers on the front and back porches and other thoughtful details were a special touch. A quiet, remote location not too far from town and attractions. Also, the kitchen was well equipped. Lots of room, and very comfortable. There are even paths to explore! I would (and have) recommended this cabin to friends and relatives.

Great getaway for the family
Great getaway for the family
Great mountain cabin with beautiful views. Very quiet and secluded area, with lots to do nearby. We really enjoyed fly fishing, hiking, and cycling in the area. The house itself was spacious and well maintained. TV and internet worked fine. Cell phone service was spotty. Also, the driveway up to the house is a bit steep, but were were able to navigate it fine with our Prius. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

About the owner: We bought this home 8 years ago and loved the quiet location. The neighbor across the road has several ponds that our grandkids occasionally fished and swam in. There is a stream near by for trout fishing and we built a tree fort. As they got older they wanted to be on a lake, so we built another house on Lake Toxaway where we spend our summer and fall. We still go up to the cabin for hiking and mushroom picking.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Toxaway:
This home has fantastic view through huge windows. Even though we are in the woods, there is lots of sun on the porches and lawn. The property is surrounded by woods and National Forest.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We fell in love with the quiet serenity of this home. The water fall trails nearby are awesome and Tony's free guided hikes every Friday make it accessable to every one.
