Year Purchased: 1963
About: I built the cabin (house) for my parents starting in 1968, added the two story addition in 1974. When my parents passed away in the late 90's, my two brothers and I purchased the house from the estate. In 2010, I remodeled replacing the deck, all new outside siding, double pane windows textured and painted the interior and added internet.
Why Sierra City: My father first visited this area in the 30's and we started vacationing here in the early 60's. My mother purchased the property during a bridge game and I started construction in 1968.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin: Set back from the road with plenty of parking, quiet mountain setting and comfortable beds. Small steam runs through the property and it is a short walk to the town.
