This beautifully restored 1931 Craftsman is centrally located in the heart of Colorado Springs, it is located 1.5 miles from I-25 and is close to everything in the Pikes Peak Region. The neighborhood boasts 100-year old trees, good walking areas and 3 parks. We are within walking distance to the middle of the city and 2 blocks to Memorial Hospital.
You will have the entire property to yourself, with a recently-updated gourmet kitchen, large dining table that comfortably seats 12, two beautiful bathrooms including one with an over sized soaker tub, and a year-round outdoor hot tub. There's a large outdoor patio and dining area that seats 10, gas grill, and a fire bowl (plenty of firewood is provided).
There are 4+ bedrooms in this spacious 2800 square-foot home:
* Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a queen bed, and are connected via a private hallway on the main level that also includes a full bathroom
* Bedroom 3 also has a queen bed and is attached to the lower-level custom bathroom with an over sized soaker tub
* Bedroom 4 has two full beds with an attached walk-in closet on the lower level
* A comfortable European-style futon is located in the main-level library, with french doors that offer privacy from the main living area
* A queen sleeper sofa is available in the main-level living room if needed
A 42-inch is available in the living room, and the lower-level media room sports a 60-inch HDTV and surround sound -- both are equipped with cable TV and Blu-Ray. If you don't find a movie to your liking in the library of over 125 DVDs, there are several Red Box kiosks within 10 blocks of the house. The house phone offers unlimited free local and long distance calling, free WiFi is available in all areas of the home, and there's an office area that provides ample work space.
Ample off-street parking is available, including an oversized 2-car garage with door openers. The home is pet and kid friendly, with a 'pack n play' available for your use.
You will be downtown in Colorado Springs where you will find restaurants to fit any budget along with museums, bars, libraries, the Fine Art Center, the Pikes Peak Center, Colorado College, a lake, a swimming pool, ice skating, several parks, bike paths,shopping, the National Firefighters Memorial, the United States Olympic Center and art galleries.
Pike National Forest is just moments away, hosting a variety of awe-inspiring trails for horse-back riding, biking, hiking, 4X4ing. There’s paragliding, mountain climbing, rafting, the Royal Gorge Bridge, swimming, golfing, hunting, fishing, even bird-watching. Take the kids to Garden of the Gods to view ancient Indian artifacts. Ride the Cog Railroad to the top of Pikes Peak, or drive 45 minutes to Cripple Creek and tour a working gold mine, gamble in the casinos, feed the wild burros. Hike the Seven Falls trail, and stop to shop in artsy Manitou Springs on your 10-minute drive home.
