As you drive through our solar powered front gate you will find yourself driving through a seven-acre Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard. This is our vineyard property called Eagle Summit, a quiet mountain getaway. You will feel like you are miles from anywhere although you are only 20 minutes from the heart of Napa and the charming town of St. Helena; and only 30 minutes from the town of Calistoga. A huge gourmet kitchen awaits you at the house with an island that seats eight people, cathedral ceilings, and views of the vineyard. You will not forget this kitchen as it will be a focal point of your stay. The kitchen is equipped with all gas appliances.
Sleeping arrangements include a master suite with a king bed and a state of the art master bathroom with a stand alone spa tub and separate shower featuring a rain forest shower head. Another bedroom with a king bed opens onto an outside deck which shares a two sink bathroom with the third bedroom with a queen bed also opening onto the deck. The fourth bedroom also has a queen bed.
The living room area boasts a field stone fireplace which provides a very cozy atmosphere for relaxing after busy days enjoying the good life in Napa Valley. The floors are Santos Mahogany which compliments the cabinetry and other features throughout the house.
You will notice selected art from Hawaii throughout various sections of the house as the owners are from Hawaii. It is tastefully done with Hawaiian decor in the kitchen, hallway, and master suite. The rest of the house has a traditional Napa feel with a few prized antique pieces such as the dining room table and sideboard buffet.
Passing through French doors you will enjoy a large stone deck which fronts the vineyard. The deck is fully furnished with outdoor sectionals including an 8 seat dining table. In addition there is a built-in Lynx propane BBQ and warming tray with granite countertops. Finally a propane fire pit will make this an ideal location for night time relaxation.
Our back yard is high lighted with a bocce court with a crushed oyster surface. Enjoy this very easy game to learn as people can watch you play from the deck.
Howell Mountain itself boasts an array of things to do. The Las Posadas State Forest is only 10 minutes away which is a great place for hiking, mountain biking, and trail jogging. The town of Angwin, five minutes away, is the home of Pacific Union College and has a shopping center, hardware store, and a gas station.
Relax and enjoy, this is Napa Valley at it's finest.

About the owner: I am from Hawaii originally but spend a lot of time in the Napa Valley since my wife and I purchased this house from our family. I grew up in the wine business and owned a wine distribution business for the last 30 years. Recently sold the business and decided to try a different facet of the business becoming a grape grower. I am affectionally know now as a 'Gentleman Farmer'.
Why the Owner Chose Angwin: This property was first purchased by my parents in 1988. It has been renovated now twice and has been enjoyed by our extended family and friends over the years. Upon selling my business last year, my wife and I acted on a longtime goal of ours in owning a vineyard property.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate: You have to get to the house to understand how tranquil and peaceful this location really is.
