Beautiful place to recharge
My family and I traveled to Lake Placid to support our son as he raced at Junior Nationals and this home was such a great spot to come back and relax each day. Everyone slept well, we had plenty of space for meals and the host was great communicating with us about our power loss after the storm. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Absolute Perfection!
Giant's View is as good as it gets for a long family weekend in the mountains! The view is fantastic and was only enhanced by some lake effect snow the entire time we were there. The inside of the cabin is another treat all by itself. It is extremely cozy and provided ample room for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of firewood was available for lounging by the wood stove in the evenings. The large dining table was perfect for doing a jig saw puzzle and playing an interactive card game we brought with us, however, there were plenty of board games available for all ages. They even provided a few sleds for the kids to use, and they had a blast in the snow. A windstorm did take down one tree that blocked the driveway, but it only took one call to maintenance, and they were there with a chainsaw as well as a plow for the driveway. A short drive into Lake Placid led to a few unforgettable experiences at the ski jump and again at the bobsled track. We all had a fantastic time and hope to return again. Between the 10 of us we give it 20 thumbs up!!! Thank you for letting us enjoy everything that Giant's View had to offer. Vin Sutton

About the host

Settling in Keene Valley in 1991, after purchasing and running Trail's End Inn for five years, we built our dream house overlooking Giant Mountain. Avid hikers, cyclists, rock climbers and general outdoor enthusiasts, we feel very fortunate to own this house in one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of the country.

Why they chose this property

Keene Valley is a very special place with an amazing small town community. It didn't take us long to decide that we wanted to build a house and settle here, where we imagine spending time with our grand children one day. What we love about our home is the breathtaking views and privacy.

What makes this property unique

Our log house is built in classic Adirondack style with cedar post railings, a large fieldstone fireplace, large country kitchen, and views from every window in the house.
